Front man Pete Steele talked about writing this song while he was working his day job at the time:
I was waiting in line for three hours to dump 40 cubic yards of human waste at the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station, and I wrote the song in my head. I’m not kidding you. And it’s about the girl I fucking slashed my wrists over. She was the ultimate goth girl, and I was poking fun at her because she was in love with herself. I actually lost the original lyrics to that song, so I had to rewrite them.

Fun Fact: The dun nun nun part of the song was actually part of the Addams family if you listen all the way you can hear it. In which they had to get special permission from the 90s Addams family director to use that part of the song
