Amazing song. My father used to play this among his records and I never thought anything of it other than just "Dad's music," He's been gone nearly 12 years now and when I missing him, this song definitely brings a part of him back. Also I remember a time when he and I were listening to a brand new Mike Oldfield album at the time and he was so excited that the riff from this song was embedded into Mike's song! It wasn't a similarity, it was a not to KC and perfectly scripted.

More relevant now than ever before.

I've killed enough of my time when I was in my 20s listening to KC. This band was a poison. I'd rather be be listening to Vangelis. I hate them for "inspiring me to hate the World" at the most critical time of my life. Just fuck off. Great band, not relevant at all now.

The kids I hung out with were always perplexed by the music I bought. I heard King Crimson, ELP and several others listening to late night college radio out of Boston, MA (mostly FM) because these were rarely a type of music or format that would play on regular AM stations.

Toujours autant de frissons en écoutant certaines chansons de ce groupe, découvert quand j'avais 16 ans. "Starless and bible black", "In the court of the crimson king" et tant d'autres. Un régal de se replonger dans ces écoutes.

His difficult rep goes back to his king crimson days and then on to the supergroup of ELP. i never heard why he left king crimson after 2 amazing albums but might have something to do with Robert Fripp. I can’t argue that later in life he was a kind and compassionate man. It happens as we get older.
