Beautiful Lady, Beautiful Song, Beautiful Performance! I love that she is Moved by the music, as I am by their performance. What a Lovely voice, both vocally and in her bass playing. Les Paul is, of course, THE Maestro! I love her "dance moves" behind the bass, shows her Total involvement in the music! Instantly became a Huge fan!!
I wish there where place's like this were you can listen to meaning full music in stead of loud distorted irritating noise which we have pushed down our throats were ever we go
Singing at the same time you're playing bass, ain't easy. And playing really good base and singing well at the same time, is real tough to do. She does it very well!
I'm neither a musician nor a singer, so doing either one well is a marvel to me. Doing them well together, as you noted, really astonishes me. Some say that everyone is born with unique gifts. If that's true, mine have never surfaced. Perhaps my gift is simply to appreciate those who are talented.

Nicki is presently touring in Europe until September 30. She just played the Harbor Jazz Festival on August 18. I suggest going to her website after the 30th and I'm sure she will be playing in New York upon her return. FYI, she has a sister, Lisa, who is also a jazz artist. Her sister is an accomplished saxophone player. Hope this helps.
