Hi Ellen. Windows are very costly but you can do just a few @ a time. I do something frugal each day. Today I hung my laundry up to dry instead of using the dryer. I got cash for a Christmas gift. I'm not a shopper so this makes me buy treats for myself. Today I bought a new rug for next to my bed. I love it. Little things make me happy. I like talking to you too :) 💛💗

Today, I went over to my son and daughter-in-laws house, and watched my granddaughter Avie, while my daughter-in-law took my grandson out for their mommy and me time. I go over every Tuesday, and Wendy, my DIL, will alternate the kiddo's for Tuesday's mommy and me time. Next week I will watch my grandson Jace, and Avie will go out with her mom. I also get to send time with my son because he works from home. ❤ 😊 Snowing here again also, and it is very cold. I just love the idea of alternating with the children. Quality time is so important. You're blessed to get to see your grandchildren often. My only grandson lives in Florida. I miss them and he's growing up fast. He's too busy now for Grandma anyway. Lol
@danamissouri I am blessed. I have only one son, but I am blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law and two precious grandkids that live close by. I can't imagine how much you must miss your grandson. I am enjoying my grandchildren for as long as possible because I bet, as they age, dear old Nana (me) may not be as fun to be with! 😏 Right now, they run to see me when I walk in...I hope it continues for many years to come! 🥰
I have been wanting to get an Insta Pot for quite a while, so seeing yours today reminded me to acquire one. The lentil veggie soup/stew looks good, I prefer the soupier version and being a rice lover, I would add some freshly-cooked rice as well. Did you use brown lentils? Also, the mild Tostitos salsa is the kind I always buy. I have two of those mini Dash cookers which have a permanent spot on my kitchen counter since I use them all the time soooo handy instead of using the microwave to heat stuff. There is a lot of info surfacing now on the dangers of using microwaves. They zap all the nutrients out of the food and the radiation that comes out of them is quite a bit, if you do have to use a microwave they advise to stand at least 6 ft away from them while they are working. Ellen, I do enjoy your daily videos and watch daily.
Nice chat tonight Ellen. I feel like I question everything I do at this point in life. I enjoy watching documentaries about the universe, its mysteries. There is so much education on everything now with the World Wide Web, I look forward to your video in the evening, it’s when it’s available for me to watch where I live in Canada. Your meal looked yummy! You’re very creative with food and especially being vegetarian. I have a question if you don’t mind? Does the HOA clear your walkways or is that something you have to take care of yourself, or maybe your grandson?
Very interesting thoughts about the universe. Its bigger than we can imagine. My husband was always fascinated with the universe, now he knows about it since he passed. We will know everything when we go to be with Jesus, we will know and understand all the mysteries. That is a good solution for Lizzy, she could get lost in the snow, she's so little. We are headed for more of a deep freeze next week. You are so right about these long winters!!! The bears are smart they hibernate through it all😊 Good night dear Ellen

I have been doing keto for a couple of years because I was diagnosed prediabetic and two months after starting keto. I am no longer prediabetic. I will eat this way the rest of my life! Yes, there is life after death! I will be going to heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! And all of my puppies will be there waiting for me! Thank you, Jesus for the amazing gifts that you give us our precious father in heaven!❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Really cold out here today, but I did take a half-mile hike through the snow. Trying to convince myself that I like Winter, not really happening but I'm trying. I'm a believer in Jesus as my Savior and have been deepening my relationship over the years. I try to live my life to reflect the love of Jesus to others, but I fall short frequently but thankful for his forgiveness. Poor Lizzy, you might lose her in the snow. She would blend right in.
