God Bless The Dirty Three! I Love these beautiful men more than I could ever put into words. I have never felt more through music than when listening to this incredible band. I had the privilege of seeing them live 5 times...5 nights I will always cherish
One of the highlights of mu life was seeing The Dirty Three live at the Port Macquarie Glasshouse with around 500 people, including my son. It was a truly uplifting experience, the music ethereal, Warren's banter insamely hilarious (worth the price of admission alone) and the accoustics incredible.
Saw this tour in Madison, completely insane. Warren kept spouting lines from The Warriors. Pound-for-pound one of the most talented bands ever. Sue's Last Ride is beyond heartbreaking.
It would have been in 2004 .. that was a legendary concert, have you got the Live At Meredith album recorded then? There are also a couple of song videos form the set on TH-cam.
They are singular, I don't know any other group like them, hence not part of any movement, hence they don't get the attention they deserve. A reminder of how much amazing music is out there in this world. I do wonder if they are too subtle for the ears of most. A pleasure always, the Dirty Three.
