Billy Clapp Lake (Reservoir) Grant County Washington

Billy Clapp is a favorite of anglers looking for quality fishing for rainbow trout, walleye, smallmouth bass and kokanee. The elbow shaped lake is six miles long and covers just over 900 acres. Very popular from early spring through the summer. There’s a public access with a two lane boat launch, swimming area and a vault toilet. There’s a trail that leads from here across the bluff with views of the high desert scrub steppe landscape and access to some sandy beaches. At the top end of the reservoir is the Summer Falls State Park. This is a day use park with picnic shelters and a swimming area. It is accessed from Pinto Ridge Road. Billy Clapp is also very popular with recreational boaters.
