TJ Watt is the Gold Standard at the edge rusher position and it isn't close. He may not be as big and fast as Myles garret or Nick Bosa, but he is relentless. He gives maximum effort on 110% of his reps and single-handedly wins the Steelers games.
Maxx has a bigger motor and has played 1 season in total with a competent defensive unit. That was last season and he played 12 or so games with a fuct knee.
Crosby should be number one. Number one run defender apparently means nothing. Also non stop motor plays every snap. This year the NFL will recognize not because he isn’t already great but because he is surrounded by the best defensive line in the world.
Montez Sweat not being on this list is criminal. Dude made that leap last year to truly elite edge rusher. He’s always been elite against the run and has always had the pressures but didn’t have high end sack production. He did last year and I believe will be even better this year since he was MUCH better with a good secondary and LB core behind him in Chicago.
Malcolm Koonce will be on this list next year💯💯
speak it into existence
Maxx is going to have more help this year. Both Tyree Wilson and especially Malcolm Koonce figured things out in the 2nd half of last season, and the addition of Wilkins means they finally have push in the middle of the line. Raiders dline will be killer this season.
hutchinson should see his numbers rise with an upgraded secondary this year.. at least im hoping
Also Dj Reeder some help from the interior DT spot
I guess he forgot that Danielle hunter had 16.5 sacks
Rashan Gary will remember this and put your QB on the bench lol
🥱
As a Packers fan I think Gary out of top 10 is correct. Dude was arguably top 5 going into the 2022 season but the 2021 ACL tear definitely did a number on him and he did not have the production to justify even a top ten for last season.
Rashan Gary needed last season to fully recover from acl in 2022. With a new DC in GB, a healthy Gary will be on this list next year. Gary will welcome Chicago’s Williams and Minn ‘s McCarthy to the nfl. 😅
Will Anderson not being on here is criminal and that’s from a pats fan. He was top 5 in pass rush win rate and double team - the only other player on this list to do that was Micah
9 sacks🔥🔥
Rrrrrrrrraaaaaaiiidddders 🏴☠️🔥💯👏🏽
Shit maxx Crosby number 1 he had no help really last year
@chrisjonesharris9557 he's never had a good defense around him. Last year was the first in forever we had a competent secondary. Excited to see him with Wilkins. Maxx is the only one of the top 4 who looks natural without a shirt on too. He's got no muscles at all and he drawback smokes cigars lol. He's the best player in the comp in My biased opinion
.
TJ Watt > PFF Merchant every day of the week.
Then what is Myles Garret? Dude didn't have a single sack through the last 7 games and had only 2 tackles in the wildcard match against the texans.
Hutch will be top 5 with improved Lions Secondary and hopefully more help on the line. His box score stats was lower than you'd like but the advanced stats are there especially with stuff like true pressure rate.
Watt makes plays that his peers simply don't. Ask Joe Burrow.
Valid✅
MADD MAXX is top 2, not 2🏴☠️
Highsmith over Danielle Hunter?
Easily. Danielle's overrated
@whenthemaskfalls8591 Last year he was 9th in pressures... 5th in sacks... 1st in tackles for loss... 3rd in forced fumbles and 3rd in stops... in the league... overrated how?
@@whenthemaskfalls8591 not overrated but not as good as the numbers
Deacon Jones, the guy credited with Coining the term "Sack", averaging over 20 a year in a 5 year span! (1964-68)😮
I’m outraged by your opinion!!! J/k nice vid 😂
Steelers fans get upset every time somebody thinks Myles Garrett is better than TJ Watt. They think only Browns fans believe that.🤣
The only reason there’s even a debate is because Watt doesn’t get to go against DAN MOORE JR 2x a year.
@jackkaczmarski FRRRRRR. But even as a steelers fan I think both miles garrett and tj watt share the same tier away from everyone else
@@jackkaczmarski What are you implying here? TJ Watt lines up against right tackles, and right tackles usually aren’t teams best pass protectors. I watched Dawand Jones dominate TJ Watt.
Guarantee Rashaun Gary is on this list next year top 5
Latu top 10 soon
Be helpful if you mentioned the team so all of us could lace these players. Not everyone has all the info on every player in the nfl memorized
What makes Myles better than TJ to people like i want an actual explanation as a neutral
No player is better at getting to the quarterback than TJ. Aaron Donald even admitted TJ is the best.
The ravens don’t have any top ranked players yet seem to be good at winning games compared to the teams with all the highly ranked players.
Um, Justine madubuike? Roquan Smith? Kyle Hamilton? Do any of these ring a bell?
@@jasonhensley7455 they may be good players but the media and commentators do not have them top ranked.they don’t even have Lamar top ranked. Look at Derrick Henry. The media worshipped him but the second he signed'on to the ravens he was too old and not considered even a good running back.
For Me:
1) Myles Garrett
2) Micah Parsons
3) Maxx Crosby
4) TJ Watt
5) Nick Bosa
6) Aidan Hutchinson
7) Josh Allen
8) Trey Hendrickson
9) Joey Bosa
10) Rashan Gary
I would disagree with Aidan Hutchinson being in the top 10. Swap him out of the top 10 with Montez Sweat for this list.
he had a bottom 3 CB room behind him, and still the second highest pressure rate in the league. we'll see what happens if Detroit's secondary is as improved as it should be.
@@stanreaper3080 Detroit's secondary is still trash tbh
Tez
No way mica is only 5
He’s not better than any of the dudes in front of him tho
@@kev792 better then max in my opinion plus he is younger, finished second in dpoy all three years he has been in the league. He should be top 2 at least
@@oldbean7150 Hes not better than Maxx
Alex Highsmith better than trey Hendrickson and Khalil Mack. That’s a good list tho
Run Defense matters
Your takes were better last year. Watt > Garrett
Danielle Hunter had 16.5 sacks last season and didn't make your top 10. You should be demonetized. :)
Danielle Hunter?
Have you checked the nearest trash can?
I’m sorry but Trey Hendrickson is not better than Haason Reddick
Nick Bosa #1
😂😂
@@mr.lucaln7097 how is that funny
@@Theodoredarling because you said a joke
@@mr.lucaln7097 he won DPOY in 2022
@@Theodoredarling so did Garett and Watt?
TJ Watt IS number 1
Myles clears-ravens fan
I’ve never seen TJ just throw a 300 pound man and break though double ls and triples
Literally no he isn’t. He doesn’t have the same responsibilities and tasks that miles has to do.
@@crocowithaglocko5876never seen Garrett lead in any major stats for his position
@@lumberzac9453 the past 2 years he was leading the league in sacks most the season……….-ravens fan. Game respect game. Stop talking out your ahh…
Aidan Hutchinson overrated
