I know the 90s don't seem like that long ago... but it's been over 20 years now! ;) I started watching soaps in the 80s, but I think they were still pretty good in the 90s - especially GH.
Ned: I don't think Jax will be causing us anymore trouble. And then Jax comes in hahaha! Sonny: What's the matter? Is my fly unzipped? And Edward looks! ROFL! And when Sonny is yelling at Edward it looks like he is stumbling on his lines ROFL! Tracy comes in with little Dillon awww! :)
midthunkm, The City was a half hour soap that was a spin off of the soap Loving. It starred Morgan Fairchild as the leading lady and then she left after a year and then Jane Eliot's Tracy took over as the grand dame. It was a really good soap. I think the ABC Daytime soap line up was the best when it had all 4 soaps. pxlbarrel-- thanks for letting me know!
Keesha dated AJ but around April 1998 I believe she was let go from the show and they wrote that Keesha was going to visit her sick father in Philadelphia. There was talk of a recast, but it never happened and she was never mentioned again.
I love how at this point all ELQ board meetings take place at the Quartermaine mansion...could they not afford the old boardroom set anymore at this point?
Cool. You wouldn't happen to have any episodes of The City would you? I would love to see some of those storylines again, like the Azure one that everyone keeps talking about. And I never saw more than a few episodes of The City with Tracy in it. *sigh* I used to love ABCDaytime back then. We didn't have a VCR, but I used to watch it everytime there was a school holiday.
Ned should come back I enjoyed them as rivals but I'm glad they put there differences aside considering they are more alike then either wanted to admit back then.
Justus is Keesha's cousin. Keesha, I think, just disappeared...there wasn't really any fanfare...she just left. This is after Jason's accident (that's why Sonny's on the ELQ board -- Jason gave him his ELQ shares). The City - look at mimeNo9's comment about The City.
That intro...so much nostalgia. When soap, film, and television writing used to be good.
On a sidenote, this was my favorite GH opening 0:51 Makes me nostalgic for the good ol' days of soaps.
Even only as far back as 96...??

The actress quit the show because of the writers
This was JUST before. The promos for The City show clips from this episode.
alas, no...I have nothing from the City. In fact, until I saw the promo in one of these October episodes, I had forgotten it existed!

I remember they did have a board meeting in a boardroom. That was back in the 80's.
1996 was a great yr!! leelee died, sonny realized he wanted brenda!
What is up with Keesha's hair? was the hair department mad at her or something?
Ha Ha
@CAM8689 I had no idea. They're better as friends though. They made a good team. Ned should return to GH
Back when we had enough REAL Q’s to fill a scene. I’m still mad at Guza.
