Brilliant tutorial by the way - I've really just started but love it. Once I've sat down to do it, its hard to stop to be honest!

adjn 1973 do also check out the playlists for Instructables I’ve done as the rocket (although for kids, shows some of the fundamentals of how to model things). Hope it helps. Have fun!

Very useful video and certainly relevant to my card building new venture! Where can you source the roller cutter.....name and make?

I am looking for ideas of cardboard things to make with my girls - 11, 6 and 4 respectively. I really want cutting patterns for things to be made from 2-ply corrugated cardboard like you demonstrated in the cutting demo - any ideas??

adjn 1973 check out this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PL_Xwha1csArbHYgErNF7wN7t-YQP81-Ea.html the rocket and the bus are good places to start as they cover the basics but get advanced if you want to.

What type of glue do you recommend for working with paper ? And thanks for this tutorial. I found it very helpful 😊

TheGreywulff depends a bit what you’re doing (feel free to reply) but UHU is a good all rounder. Also impact adhesive is great for quick assembly.

@@JudePullen , this will be my first try at paper models. I've been building plastic for over fifty years..😊. Actually, I was thinking about using something like Elmer's glue. I do have a lot of the Crazy glues also. Thinking that doing a paper model might just be a nice change of pace for me 😉. Thanks for your quick response !

I build scale models from 160gsm cardstock. I discovered using ordinary white PVA tends to result in warping/buckling of larger smoother surfaces - because it contains water. Use it as sparingly as possible. UHU is a better alternative for the large pieces because it is a solvent glue (no water).
Been experimenting with different types and best so far is Aleenes Fast Grab Tacky PVA. Also used Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate) here and there. I like the 'Pattex' brand cause it doesn't seem to ever bung up in the nozzle, plus, it has rubber sides so you can squeeze it out in a much more controlled fashion.

adjn 1973 try Evostick Impact Adhesive also. I built a clock from paper - and that was essential to avoid warping. It has low/no water also. I think a lot of it is also how you design the parts as if being pulled apart then superglue is better if used sparingly.
