Cutting off a friendship that had turned toxic was life changing. Things like that can sneak up on you. It's important to stay aware. Also, stopping rescuing other people. Rescue yourself first.
Your physical transformation is incredible, and I appreciate how you emphasized that it changed more than just your appearance-it transformed how you feel to the very core of your being. I watched this at the perfect moment; it's been truly motivating for me. Thank you, Shelby. 🙏
Shelby, you truly are an inspiration! What I've done is go for a walk for an hour along the water. I loved this vlog today. Thank you for sharing so many incredible ideas!!!
36 weeks pregnant and I’ve been walking throughout my whole pregnancy and I really feel like just that small change has really helped me mentally and physically! Even before family planning I was doing it and it helped with my mental health significantly. I also feel like the other tips in this video are really helpful and the mindset around them I’m exited to start applying! Thanks Shelby 🙏🏻
I’m glad I found this channel. You give lots of good advice. I liked how you transformed your look by ditching the ripped jeans clothes to a more formal ranged, which projects a lot more of a seriousness and educated image, instead of the teenage playful carefree look of your previous self. Keep up the hard work.
Great advice! Loved all the tips. I am trying to put myself out there more but being 62 I feel invisible to most folks. It’s hard when I was younger I do not experience this but now it’s a real thing. Anyway I loved your advice and how it helped you. Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad I watched this. I just made a list of all the life goals I want to achieve for the next 5 years. I did it in 3 month, 6 month, 1 year, 2 year, and 5 year intervals and it was helpful to see what I would need to do to get to the next goal. It also helped me quiet all the noise in my head and actually think about what I want my life to be like at those time markers.
Very inspiring as always 👍❤️ One thing I have found to help improve my life, is to get out of draining relationships, my life has improved so much since being single. It's so easy to get stuck in unhealthy routines, especially when the other person has no interest in self care, and too much interest in eating fast food and watch some long series of junk on TV. Thank you for sharing your great advice, and always wanting to help other people become better versions of themselves xx
Thank you for this video! I needed it, lost my job and I have been feeling so lost lately. I need to make big changes to get my life back on track. One thing recently I have been doing has been attending networking events.
I LOVE this. Genuinely thank you so much for making this video, it really pure gold for me✨ I’m in a bit of a struggling place now, and I would really LOVE to make these kind of changes, and I’ve been wanting to for a while. What you said about style is SO true- and it’s also a really good new perspective that I haven’t though of (usually I just view peoples styles as more vain and into physicality which I’d rather not be into, but shifting perspective a little bit and realizing that it can really be used to improve confidence is really cool.) Don’t know if you’ll be seeing this- but my problem is that SINCE I’m not in a great place esp physically, and it’s hard for me to exercise and I’m heavier than I’d like- I don’t feel good in any clothes, and even styles that I would love to wear, just is pointless for me to do, bc if anything I feel worse in it, bc of my weight. I’d love to hear your views on this.
I just found your channel today through Graham Stephan’s channel. Now 3 videos in of yours. I love your videos. You are very relatable and empowering. Subscribed! :)
Very good video. I can confirm that working out is a huge benefit but even if you had a streak but fell off just start back up. Don't do the "New year I will start this goal again" mindset.
Thank you for sharing!! I admire you and honestly had seen you for the ways you’ve changed, I didn’t even realize the subtle changes along the way!! It’s inspiring me to take steps to grow and be better in my own life! 😊
I'm taking notes! I was literally thinking about this today, really need to start taking my habits more seriously if I want to feel better about my life
These are great tips! I gotta get myself a new wardrobe. A lot of the clothes I have are older and dont fit me anymore. I just wear a lot of t-shirts and polo shirts and dont look put together. Lol. Thanks for the inspiration.
A few things that have changed my life are, keeping up with my resume and really taking the time to craft it instead of just get it over with as soon as I can. Positive Affirmations like the ones on Jason Stephenson’s channel. Re-programming my negative thoughts has been a game changer for me. Exercise has been something that is super challenging to make an everyday habit but when I am able to do it it changes so much for the better, I agree with Shelby: the physical benefits feel great BUT the mental clarity you get from exercise is amazing, your thought processes become so much better and brain fog goes away, I have some of my best creative ideas on the treadmill.
It's fun to watch you grow up. You've dodged a lot of bullets that your generation has been hit by. Good for you. Finally color in your apartment green picture and plant. Better clothes for a grown up. ❤
This is an amazing video Shelby! You have explained everything so beautifully. I truly felt inspired to make changes watching you. Keep up the amazing work! ✨♥
No insults intended, but i always wondered why you didn't dress better in vlogs. You definitely were adorable and you didn't seem to try. Now you look like you really care how you look on a vlog, and it comes through.
I like how you edit. What's the percentage of raw footage do you use in your final edit? The film editor uses only 20 to 30 percent of the raw footage in the final movie.
Sometimes a “jolt” forcing us to a different path in life is necessary, because other avenues or people may not readily be apparent. Everyone and everything isn’t for every everyone, and that’s okay. Good video Shelby.
Learn how to sell. Learn how to sell yourself. How to sell an idea. How to sell YOUR ideas. Learn how to sell a product or service. How to sell YOUR products or services. Practice selling. Try selling your ideas to a boss, colleague or acquaintance. Try applying for the job you want instead of the one you already have. I mean, what's the worse that can happen? And speaking of which, stop treating the word No like a dead end. Start treating it like a 4-way stop. That is to say, keep moving. Think of 3 more things to try next! These tasks, exercises, challenges, whatever will help you learn more about yourself. AND learn more about who or what you need to know to become happy and successful.
one day you'll see not drinking is a huge life hack too! +no caffeine, no gluten, no medicines... going vegan, swimming in the ocean, laying out... certain supplements
Spriend - to spread out the time you spend with friends, either staying in or going out. Staying in could include playing board games or lamenting about how your lives are not going the way you want.
not cortisol face again lol!! cortisol face is not a real thing (i’m an endocrinologist - while you can get a more rounded face from cortisol this is really only seen in patients taking high doses of steroids and very very rarely, those with a rare adrenal or pituitary gland tumor) It’s normal to lose facial fat as we age!
Hey Shelby , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
Hey Shelbs!!!!!!!! You are so beautiful inside and out. I really look forward in meeting you next January. I will come out to La La land and we will go to dinner. We will discuss you directing a feature film. lol
Let's be realistic- a bunch of the early photos are of a young girl (think baby fat, a real thing) and add to that we all know of your journey through the jaw surgery. So, no shit, you look different from 8 or 9 years ago! It is to be expected! And guess what, when you were still a teenager your income wasn't what it is now--again- kinda what most experience in their lives! This is not to say some people will not find benefit in your story, I hope many do. We all can use a pep-talk now and then. Keep trying your best, but in the end, luck can be your best friend!
Wow. "Keep trying you best?" I don't know Shelby at all, but one thing that is very obvious is that she has worked very hard on her vlogs since she started her TH-cam journey. The only role "luck" has played is that she was at the right place at the right time when it came to doing vlogs on TH-cam. Never criticize until you can do better yourself! Good luck!
@@mallorygraf8574 I'm not a teenager, you seem to have that mentality, my comment is from one that has seen far more than you ever could hope to! I've actually called Shelby (years and years ago) the hardest worker on TH-cam. But with the passing of time, one can make the realization that irrespective of hard work, education, preparation or any other positive trait- luck is an essential component of success!
Making $17,000 dollars a month is fantastic making that kind of money a month anybody should be a millionaire and why 17 that is an odd number I will just say 20 but either way that is good money you must be a Amazon seller or you must be doing real estate like Airbnb arbitration
Hey, Would you be willing to share how much money you are making, your savings goals and how you invest…. I know you’ve done this before but like Rose Han
Cutting off a friendship that had turned toxic was life changing. Things like that can sneak up on you. It's important to stay aware. Also, stopping rescuing other people. Rescue yourself first.
Agree. 😊
the putting yourself out there advice is so important

Shelby you’re looking good , doing good , feeling good, Life is wonderful ! Keep up the hard work ! I love your videos
Somewhat random, but I think a 'Where are they now' type of video of all the CEOs and founders you've interviewed over the years would be cool 😊
The effort you put into learning how to make videos definitely shows!
I think this is one of the best vids you've ever done.
Very uplifting and confidence inspiring.
Love this, shows an emotional maturity that we all need.

WOW, Shelby! You've uploaded a vlog and a main channel video in one day! I'm amazed! You've just made my day!😃❤
Great advice! Loved all the tips. I am trying to put myself out there more but being 62 I feel invisible to most folks. It’s hard when I was younger I do not experience this but now it’s a real thing. Anyway I loved your advice and how it helped you. Thanks for sharing!
The amount of facts in this video!! OMG putting yourself out ther is the KEY! More than half the people dont have the audacity.

Shelby you have a very soothing voice.
There is a study stating that it takes up to 90 days to change a habit or behavior for another one and could change your life.
actually it only takes about 23 days & a Habit is created.
It also only takes a few days to break that habit if you slacken off I have found.
I want to be at a healthy weight by December (in 4 months). Wish me luck! 🍀🤞🏻
I just found your channel today through Graham Stephan’s channel. Now 3 videos in of yours. I love your videos. You are very relatable and empowering. Subscribed! :)
I agree with all this. I especially like the writing it down and working out. Gonna try this again! ❤
Working out and walking for me are on my goals list for every day. I prioritize that for myself and it makes me feel so much better.
Very good video. I can confirm that working out is a huge benefit but even if you had a streak but fell off just start back up. Don't do the "New year I will start this goal again" mindset.
Thanks for opening up and highlighting what has helped you !
Thank you for sharing!! I admire you and honestly had seen you for the ways you’ve changed, I didn’t even realize the subtle changes along the way!! It’s inspiring me to take steps to grow and be better in my own life! 😊
Shelby, once again you have inspired me. This came at a perfect time-thanks!

Me and Shelby are going to get married in five years!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!! lol
Teach yourself to listen?
That is a good one. Most people have a difficult time listening, because they are 1. Thinking how to respond 2. Distracted 3. Half listening.

Crop tops don’t look good on me either. When I wear them in public it’s wildly unpopular
