You gotta check out John Chargois' 500+hp 9-5 (mrBman on youtube), he's sold it at this point but that 9-5 was fucking sick as shit. Same with Andreas Gidlund's 800+hp 9-5 in Sweden. Both those cars are no longer around but god damn were they nasty.
Red fury is a beast!!! What a dream of a car! If I ever get the chance to buy an XWD 2.8t aero in the future, you can bet your money on that I'll smack on a big ass turbo haha. I own a fwd 2.8t at the moment and I'm barely able to keep the car running with my economy... But I'm in love with the car and you make me very inspired to building one of these beasts myself :)

I got lucky 3 mnths ago with my 6 speed manual 2007 2.0 T vector (210bhp stock, ng body with new interior, 17¨rims) 170km for 3500 euros here in Spain. The car looks new inside and out! Took me months of scanning around.

@@prolificbuilds im not that mechanically skilled like u and your brother so it will cost me arm and a leg 😂. I drive a 1.8T b207E 2003. Got it.for almost two years now. Had to save a lot and got a stage 3 ish upgrade package ready so i can upgrade from the Garret with Stage 1 to a custom TD04-16T Hybrid. Still on stock clutch to so i will custom tune it for linear powerband up to 270 275 hp and 380 ish nm. No comparison of course and the 'affordable" limit is getting reached now lol. I dunno if im gonna go mister mayhem and rebuild the block thats not my goal. If i get a uprated clutch then i might go for 300 to 310 hp and then call it a day.. even though all the drama and speed is addictive For this car Then i shouldve got hands on an v6. Thing is they are quite rare in NL and if u find a manual xwd one its already like 8 to 10 k at least. Dunno the numbers but seeing allt he videos it looks like the v6 were more popular and more common then over here.
@@DM-co4vh ahh gotcha. 310 hp in a fwd car is still a lot of fun. plenty of torque steer and traction comes an issue without good tires. but yeah the v6 is a jacked up saab the motor is good for 550hp easily. it’s somewhat hard to find v6 here at times but plenty of 2.0 easy to find

Seems like he hardly accelerated? Great to see - I have the identical car, 08 XWD manual 6 speed, even same colour, but basically all stock. Be careful passing people on the right at those speeds, if someone makes a lane change without doing a check, could be bad. We want to see more of your good work so be safe!

@@dingbat5653 yeah i’ve had it turned up to 23psi before moving 56-57lbs. i’ve been running it at 20psi for months now. it’s fast enough and i just want to enjoy it without worrying about stressing anything. with a built motor it’s full send haha 🔥🫡

It was as if Saab further refined and completed the engine. Unfortunately, the timing chain reinforcements remained original.bad design mistake.

the shifting and the car was making more power at the time as well. was running on 22psi. all the other races are 20 psi max.
