@Trenton Maverick thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
When u do visit Hawai'i, we ask that u please help support local businesses and mom-pop shops. Get adventurous and avoid your usual McDonald's, BurgerKing franchises. Also, pick up any trash you see would be of great help, even if it's not yours🤗 thank you
Just got back and did just that! Didn’t visit a familiar chain at all (even Starbucks), went to markets, wore our masks, social distanced, wore red-safe sunscreen, were patient and kind and were hopefully the best tourists we could be!
Thank you for recommending the coffee shack the food was delicious and the lilikoi cheesecake was delicious. Great view and great food. Would have never stopped there had I not seen this video.

That’s awesome.. the first place I send anyone that come to big island is coffee shack for sand which and cheesecake. How did your wedding cake turn out

your welcome enjoy your trip. I have a bunch of videos on big island if you need more recommendations on things to do and places to eat.. thanks for watching.
I live here and have for over 50 years, I'm 83. So far this guy is spot on. As you can see the second spot you need tennis shoes to navigate the rocks. The Manta dive is fantastic, be carful. Magi sands is very over populated with people, watch out for the other person.

It really does not matter who you use. which ever you can get the best deal. they all go to the same spots.. But i would recommend big island divers if i had to chose one.. let me know how it goes.
Great video, itching to go back! I'll need to check out some of these spots next time. My favorite lesser known spots were Wailea Beach and Paradise Meadows Orchard and Bee Farm.
Beautiful Island and a beautiful video. Just a tip, if you're not an experienced swimmer, be careful at magic sands beach. I've seen many people get wrecked by the particularly strong waves (that look like any other waves) that can slam some swimmers to the sands below.
It’s amazing how many people don’t practice common sense .. respect the ocean and the power it possesses never turn your back to it and if your not experienced swimmer and see large waves stay out or rip current signs .. but if your can swim or boogie board fun spot for some close out barrels but you will get pummeled 🤙

Enjoyed your video! Would you please comment more about your manta ray tour? Which company, do you recommend them? How long is the ride to the rays? Were their snorkels not in good shape? Appreciate any further info you can provide. Thank you.
to be honest they all go to the same two places so the company doesnt make a big difference. Its a short ride to the snorkel area. so when you get in the water they have this floatation device that you hold on to . you don't swim at all its not really snorkeling . you just hold on to the device and the tour operator may move you around but you dont really swim just hold on and enjoy the view. they swim up to you just dont touch them. if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Any suggestions for beaches / grindz in Puna district? Looking at a house there, trying to scope out the great local places and mom n pop stores. Thanks
This is an old comment but just in case someone else is wondering the same. Beaches- If your idea is of nice soft sand beaches then no, the Puna district is not for you. There is a black "sand" beach at Isaac Hale park but it really depends on the wave action. Basically ever since Kapoho and the tide pools got covered in lava there isn't much for sand or swimmable beaches. As for food. I haven't been for awhile but there are a few decent places. But Hilo and Kona sides of the island would much greater selections to choose from. Personally I wouldn't make a vacation stay in that area unless I was going to feature Volcanoes NP heavily as there are lots of stuff to do there.
@@PackYourBags so nice! We stayed at a hotel in Waikoloa (where the sunsets on Anaeho’omalu Bay is always pretty and golden) and discovered Island Gourmet nearby. Food was great, especially the poké, we stopped eating at the hotel and saved money! Lol! ‘Akaka falls is beautiful but Waipi’o is just amazing! 5 days were not enough. I told myself, “I’m coming back tomorrow!” (SOON!)
They're not exactly hidden, but the picturesque Kalahuipua’a fishponds that are next to the beach for the Mauna Lani Beach Club at Makaiwa Bay are stuinning.
Entry into Keanalele and/or any cave or lava tube in the Kiholo State Park Preserve is prohibited by Hawaii State Law HSC 6D with penalties for violation of this law include fines of not less than $1,000 for the first offense. Please honor Hawaii State Law and the efforts of Hui Aloha Kiholo in restoring this source of fresh water by editing this video to remove the portion showing the illegal entry into Keanalele. Mahalo
there are too many hidden gems on the island! things that aren’t anywhere on record of existing offer some of the best experiences, even more than the touristy stuff. and the people are great
YES! SHOP AT KTA GROCERY STORE NOT WALMART WHEN I WAS IN KONA WE HAD KTA AND BEST STORE PEOPLE EVER. SCREW WALMART AND OTHER NON LOCAL GROWN STORES, THEYVE RUINED ALOHA! SAD....
I did have them in somewhere between exporting to TH-cam somehow got deleted but all the locations are in the description .. thanks for watching appreciate the feedback
A couple of my favorite places are cliff jumping at either the " End Of The World " located on the shoreline in Keauhou or jumping off the cliffs at " South Point " located just past Oceanview subdivision.
Been cliff jumping at Ka Lae ( southern most point) coming up in next video.. gonna have to check out end of the world.. always looking for new places to go cliff jumping. thanks.
I stated the names of all the beaches in the video and names are also in the description.. I was trying not to add in text in this video will add it next time.
I gotta say, this video was disappointing. 3 locations on the Kona side, none of which are hidden at all. Magic Sands is one of the worst beaches on the island, PACKED with tourists. Not to mention, only one location on the east side of the island? Most of the "hidden gems" on Hawai'i can be found on the east side.
Was there a few weeks ago and it is absolutely the most crowded we have ever seen it. The traffic was horrible the beaches were crowded. Along with many closed businesses. Making the available restaurant overcrowded with long lines. We've traveled here often and we're saddened by the trash and toilet paper at some of our favorite spots many of which you listed. Many times struggling to keep the 6-foot space due to others refusing to respect any boundaries. Don't expect it to be slow. It is not. One day while sitting at a beach in the flight path to Kona ... large passenger plans came in one after another the entire day. Every Beach we visited during the almost two weeks wasn't what we would have expected. So go with the expectation of crowds and long waits.

A walk out on the brake wall. With pole & bate, & snorkel & mask!!!
Is there enough service here to fly a drone?
Be careful where you fly but there is service
Makalaweina is the best beach on the Big Island!
🔥🔥. I'll be in mountain view next month. So stoked to see those caves!! Thanks for the heads up about the flashlight.
Enjoy your trip .. thanks for watching
What month were u there?
I’ve been there just about every month .. best time is august to September in my opinion
This is amazing! The beaches are so empty

I think it’s about 2 miles or so that u can go into but the whole cave is 20+ miles long hope that helps make sure you bring good head light
