    its amazing to see rode getting smashed in this comparison. i must say anker is giving it a good fight. personal preference but dji for me.

    After the device was delivered yesterday, the enthusiasm is completely gone today. After the firmware update (recommended in the description), the device can no longer be started. And I urgently need it for a production tomorrow.

    Thanks for your review. I am very curious about this mic but the name Anker on the front of the mic ruins it for me. I couldn't possibly use it in an interview to be broadcast . It would create a problem . TVs don't do free marketing/merchandising. It's also no good if the shooter just wants a cleaner look with no names on the screen. I think it's a big mistake that many companies are making because they are limiting the use of their mics to non professional productions only or whatever people do with Rode, Anker mics. The DJI name is more discreet and maybe it would be acceptable.
    I thought to put the clip on the front would be an option seeing that the mic is on the top of the 'button' but the clip also has the name Anker on it! Maybe you can use the mic without the shield with the name on it? Even then, I've just found out something that makes a mic pretty useless for any serious work: The magnetic clip. So how are you going to interview a woman wearing a dress? Are you going go ask her to pass the clip all the way under her dress and then connect it to the mic? This set up is worse than using wired lavaliere mics. It's walking backwards. I have Anker cables.They are super fast. But I will pass on their mics. I am sorry but Ankerwork mic is a really bad choice.

    gaffer tape can cover that hideous billboard logo up; you could also print out a sticker of your own brand at some print shop for the size of this mic and stick on there. Good to see competition, Rode has been asleep at the wheel without much innovation in recent years, they had had strong domination of the market until DJI entered. Now, we've also got Anker, which is a good brand, Holland, Godox and more. I'm in the market for a wireless mic and I had so many options on amazon uk that I couldn't make a decision. Compare this to a couple oof years ago when you either had Rode or screaming at your camera.

      I’ve been using the Rode for the last year or so and have been swapping between the DJI and Ankerwork for the last month. They’re pretty similar in a lot of ways, sort of just depends on if you like the transmitter styling and if you want to save ~$100. After using both, the Ankerwork would probably get my money just because it’s $100 less if you use the coupon code. I know it’s hard to trust on a sponsored video, but the DJI isn’t $100 better imo.

    "Ankerwork software to offload recordings" Why would you want to have to use software to offload recordings? Sounds like extra unnessary steps. I don't see usb on the transmitters so I am guessing they have to either interface through the charging system or transfer across wirelessly to the rx module. Either would be a pain.

    The implementation of the onboard recording is so dumb. It needs to be connected to the receiver for the internal recording to keep working. If you leave the receiver in the case or turn it off while the internal recording is going on, it will automatically shut off after 1 minute. They need to fix this. Sometimes people just want to use them as a standalone recorder

    The noise reduction in the Ankerwork was actually useable, at least in the low mode. I think that’s the “next level” for these mics, really tune in the processing of the audio, so it sounds great in camera. I would bet that most of that people that uses these mics, don’t process the audio, aside from adjusting the gain in editing.

    • @benjhaisch

    Hello. tell me please, in ankerwoks m650 you can connect to the transmitter ,,line in,, instead of a lavalier microphone, so that there is an interlocutor in one channel, and music in the background in the second? And when connected to a smartphone, can I charge the smartphone through the receiver?

  • @Jloudr
    @Jloudr ปีที่แล้ว +7

    AnkerWork M650 seems a big winner here, especially for the sound quality, for me the rode audio better more natural, Dji audio very electronic not so natural, while the ankerwork audio are in between rode and dji, sound little like Dji but more natural sound like rode, good work! plus changeable Tx color cover, more alternative magnetic clip, larger touch screen, a more affordable price, I definitely will buy this.
    But just one cons, I hope there will be plain cover without ankerwork logo, cuz the brand logo are too big.

    • @tree3111

    Ankerwork is some generic Chinese company who have obviously ripped off the DJI design. The problem with all these companies is they are great until they are not when you need support or something stops working. Also suspect is the fact all tech youtubers have released the same glowing review of the Ankerwork at the same time. There's a reason the industry standards are the likes of Sennheiser.
