I have to say that you have an absolutely consistent pre-shot routine -- practice swing behind the ball, standing behind the ball to look at target, twirling the club, your right hand first on the club and then placing your left hand. Others should pay attention about how absolutely consistent you are. Impressive.
Haha I usually don’t hit full shots and am starting to do that a bit more to get a better feel for my full 90% shots so yes! Trackman session soon for sure 😄
The second hole has a real narrow fairway!! This course looks nice!! Those green were rolling pretty good and they look tough to read!! I putt with my glove off most of the time if it is close and I have it on I might leave it on!! Nice golf vlog Gen!!

Beautiful undulated narrow course. Love the layout. I like your thought process while playing. You hit the clubs the same distance as me more or less so I learn some here in course management. As you asked I don’t take off the glove when putting and have played many years. Never started doing it so I do not get why remove the glove.

Thanks for sharing... You demonstrated how easy it is to hit good shots but get nothing out of your game so you just "tough it out" and keep trying. I love the DTL views of your swing as it gives an appreciation of your swing plane and target line but I would love to see a few FV swings to better appreciate your turn back and through the ball. Maybe you can integrate a few of these views in some future vlog? Thanks in advance...
I play in hot and humid conditions so I use a FIT39 glove which is nice and light and breathes. When it’s raining I often putt with foot joy rain gloves on but the feel on the putter is very soft.
I think the wind gusts were sometimes tricky and un-helpful for your game. At 15:55 you can see that the putter face was not aimed square to the hole, was that on purpose? I think you did that twice or three times during this video which is really nice - again - you even think about viewers using yardage and others using meter distances - brilliant!
Love your videos...........they are already helping my game . May I make a suggestion. Consider using a microphone close up while adding voice to your video. The currant sound tends to create a bit of echo making it difficult to understand your voice. Your golf game and videos are terrific!
Lexi Thompson putt with her glove on. I sometime too ... if you are using genuine soft high end leather glove like those from FJ, the feel is still there.
Gen can you make some green reading videos please? From my POV as someone living in the UK, I believe the greens you play are much better and one must account for slope, firmness as well as grain. Tell me what you think if you see this 👌🏾
Hi - I played on these S.E. Asia greens for years and the grain is the big issue. It can stop an uphill putt in its tracks and downhill putts can take off. UK grass is also way slower. I have probs adjusting now I am back in the UK. Gens' putting is normally way better than in this video from what I have seen.
I’ll try! I’ve never played golf in the UK but depending on the course, many in SEAsia are not the friendliest either. These ones at tropicana are tricky because when they are at their best, they are usually at around a speed of 11-12 so now when they’re slow I believe it’s just bumpy and grainy. Makes it a real challenge when you haven’t played here in awhile to be able to remember which way it breaks (when it’s not breaking the way it “should be”)! 😊

I suggest you watch such videos but you need a coach to fully understand your swing and how to get that power. I do think that maybe Gen can provide more direct advice on how to get your game together and how to move forward.
....maybe it was not in the video...but if you miss those really close ones and not sure if it was the wind or the putt that's wrong...you should try one more time...takes less than 5 secs to erase any doubts you may have😳

I totally relate to the 3rd shot on 4. I'll go up a club and swing smooth to get past wind I'm not sure about and hit the purest shot of the day sailing over the green.

I putt with my glove on. It’s something I’ve always done. I tried switching to taking it off for a little bit, because I normally practice without a glove. I hated taking it off and putting it back on, so I now I just always leave it on. Definitely doesn’t help that glove tan...
I try to remember to take my glove off bc the pros do it, but unfortunately I'm often in the bushes and just getting out to have a putt for Double is a pretty good day for me. At that point, gloves get forgotten 😂
You had to have been hitting with the wind on that approach shot on hole #4 when you went over. Maybe the wind was different from where you were standing compared to what it was doing up by the green, but just look at the flag on your next shots....same with 8th hole tee shot

Cosmopolitan ? If you aim at a bunker chances are you are going in...Maybe look at your alignment for those putts. Hole 8 your feet are aiming left of the hole and you go...left. Hole 3 feet aiming left of hole - I think it was more of a slight push to the right? Hole 5 wind drops just as you putt - watch the flag. Glove on Glove off. Done both, sometimes Ok sometimes not. 19 mins 50 secs of chilling watching you play.

Tropicana is a relatively short course for a pro. Why do you teeoff the white instead of blue. I am very sure nobody in tropicana will stop you from teeing off blue
I tee off from both, depending on the day. I like to change it up. Some holes from the blues are still long, such as some par 3s and are more realistic from the whites. The short holes from the whites are the par 5s! Might definitely consider mixing them up to a more realistic playing distance next time (which would be blue on some, white on some)!
