    Great win by the Mavs. Gotta give Dinwiddie credit for how aggressively he started that second half. Help keep pressure and being able to attack the paint alive. PJ, Naji, and Hardy also had good games. Klay with the 3 point barrage at the end of the second quarter also shifted momentum.
    Lets also shout out Quentin Grimes tho. 23 points ,6 assist, 9 rebounds, 1 stl. Great basketball from him. Gotta give him an extension as the Mavs are 5-1 this season when Grimes has 20+ points.
    Great win by the Mavs.

      If I was Grimes I wouldn’t sign shit until after the season. A good defensive player who can put up starter numbers? He had a real shot at a $15-$20 million contract on a team he can get 30-35 minutes a game. Why would you sign a role player contract behind Kyrie? Kidd is going to have to find him consistent minutes and Nico will have to find him real money or he’s going in free agency.

    • @beastscale1892
      @beastscale1892 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @SDesWriter
      He'll sit behind Klay not Kyrie but I get your point. Although 24-27 minutes a game with a pass maestro like Luka isn't much different than 30-35 minutes a game with whoever. But yes at the rate he is going he's earned 12.5+ million per year at this rate.

    • @SDesWriter
      @SDesWriter 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@beastscale1892 Grimes is a shooting guard. He’s too small to play SF except against a handful of players. Offensively it doesn’t matter that much, although he does like to shoot above the break and in the corners, and he’s very limited in the paint. But a really good player in this offense. If he stays healthy putting up these numbers, I think he’ll be closer to $20 than $12.
      I wish the Mavs could have locked him up before the season, but I get that Naji was the first priority and I get Grimes believing he was worth more. Just have to hope winning solves problems and he looks at Kyrie and Klay nearing the end. He and Naji would look really good for the Mavs long term beside Luka and PJ & Lively.

    • @beastscale1892
      @beastscale1892 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @SDesWriter
      He'll still be SG. The Mavs roles change in lineups from offense to defense. Luka is listed as a Point Guard but matches up to SF/PF on corners and wings. Kyrie listed as SG but is a PG and usually matches up with other point guards on ball or SGs on the elbow/wing. Klay is listed as SF but is really a SG who either matches up on ball, switches, and has some match ups in the post vs SFs on a few occasions.
      The same would be for Grimes who will be an on ball defender or switch defender on the perimeter and elbow while Luka/Kyrie are hidden away from too many on ball tasks on the perimeter while being on the corner or wing.

    Hey Nick and Slightly--whatever you do, DO NOT EVER recognize nor credit Spencer Dinwiddie; the guy who drove and dished for clean looks beyond getting his own, dishing to Hardy 3x threes, getting Naji his only wide open made jumpshot, and really the only getting and 1s getting to the FT line. That's the unspoken rule of this clan; no kudos to that man Dinwiddie but instead keep lobbying for Grimes, Hardy, and Marshall who are often the beneficiaries of Spencer's playmaking 😂

    • @LockedOnMavericks
      @LockedOnMavericks  11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    • @DawudCopherfield-h2b
      @DawudCopherfield-h2b 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Freeze. It's not about ever given credit; read between the lines. It's about parity. Spence has been a dynamic engine for the team when given anywhere near the usage rate and reps of early 2023. He creates his own shot off the dribble, draws fouls, hits FTs, elevates the offense of his teammates hitting them on the money (yall railed PJ Washington's 3 pt % the early part of the year. Guess when he started drilling long range shots? When Dinwiddie kept driving and dishing to him for clean looks. His 3 pt % skyrocketed). Dinwiddie elevates the confidence of his teammates on offense with those crisp passes and clean looks. Not just praising his teammates for years during interviews. And he sets a good example of being available/ready to play despite visibly being injured all season (I am certain yall have noticed that device he uses on the bench against his quad/hamstring over and over all season). The best ability is availability. Something our supermax franchise guy should heed because he has been injured several games each and every one of his 7 seasons. Dinwiddie is a great leader and based on the way he plays/facilitates and talks about his teammates--seems like a genuinely good dude. So why do yall dump on him so much, undermine and mischaracterize his game & contributions/impact, and refuse to be objective and grasp the notion of parity? You can be 1,000% biased for Grimes and Naji (heck even Hardy), but that doesn't mean you should be anti-Spencer Dinwiddie/be a total unobjective jerk on your platform about him and leave him off the discourse. That's a bit junior high and yall seem too old for that. Why do you dislike Spence so much? Why the cognitive bias? What did he do to you?
      Go MAVS!

    I think Spencer wanted to show his dad what hes missing out on 🙂
    I think he must start for Mavs, hes most solid playmaker when Kyrie and Luka are missing.. even with just Kyrie Spencer should be starting to move Kyrie to 2, which is better for Ky . Spence had most assists 8 and biggest plus/minus 24 on the team..
