@@ThriftSchool You bet. I wish you all the best and would love to see a follow-up video down the line, if you decide to do it, showing how they're selling on Amazon.
you all probably dont care but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Yusuf Raymond Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I formed this connection with a person. There are companies out there, but tbey are usually pretty crappy. I would just contact as many people as you can and try to form connections.
I really liked the breakdown you did of first box from the pallet. Looking forward to the next one. I hope you do really well on this buy. Best wishes! -Steven
Thank you for the excellent video. How do you buy Amazon customer return pallets specifically for media like this? As a die hard movie collector and someone ungated on Amazon for movies, this would be perfect for me.
New Subscriber here. I too appreciate your gamble and documenting it for the rest of us. It just seems that if the average per box is constant you can make 10K profit IF everything sells. I worry about the time it takes to handle all this merchandise. If there are 4,000 units and you handle each one 4 to 5 times to unpack, sort, rebox etc, thats a potential of 20,000 "touches". Seems like a lot of work for minimum return.
By the way if you are checking sold prices on ebay by scanning barcode you miss a lot of sold ones. I found when processing 3,000 CDs I would have thrown out a lot of money if I had not learned that and started entering partial title to get sold price.
Good job on the video. Nice quality. I like how you didnt put any fluff in here. Nice use of cutting. So how long did it take you to sell it all? How much profit did you end up making and what do you think your hours were? How much did you make per hour?
Ouch! I have gotten my DVDs for .20-.25 and CD for .14-.30 pretty regularly at estate sales in bulk (100-3,000 (once 3,000)). Maybe I have been lucky over the last two years but I refuse to pay more.
Been watching your channel for over a year now, really like the tips for sourcing and selling. When you buy big quantities of DVD'S and CD's do you worry about tons of DVD'S that are worthless or getting lot of quantity of the same titles, again, that have a low margin of return moneywise?
Of course! Ive recorded a few videos of these unboxings that I havent opened yet. And not to give anything fully away, not all boxes are going to be home runs lol!
I would love to see you unbox them all!! And the ones not worth it, you should lot up in bigger lots and sell them on Facebook!! I would buy lots of DVDs on Facebook.
Wow! I buy bulk DVD and CD 'deals' whenever I see them but my biggest buy so far of 75 DVDs pale into insignifcance compared to that pallet load. You should do very well with that pick up :) Some people don't realise that you have to work to make money! I Claudius is a British classic, a great series. Even the duds or lesser value items can be bundled.
The very first DVD shown is technically sealed, however, that is a reseal. 98% of actual factory sealed will have the square fold flaps on the top and bottom. And even some of those are not true "factory sealed". If the seal seems sketch, list as anything but Brand New.
I just have a question. Would now be a profitable time to begin selling with FBA? I am on ebay but considering Amazon. Thanks for your video. I enjoyed it.
Yeah I have my ebay link listed below in my description. If someone wants to buy a bulk amount of items we can always work out a deal through my Instagram which is Thriftschool
Full Metal Jacket . . . one of my faves 🔥 Sooo are you thinkin' of hyphonating "Thriftschool ~ CT. Hustler" ? You're gonna do fabulous on these ~ bet ! Great pickup or drop off . . . TFS Jesse✌
Assuming 70% of them sell and then estimating the taxes you'll pay on the profit at the end of the year, it is still a great profit. A lot of work though time wise for replacing the cases or writing on notes on your listing about whats wrong with the case. I would love to see a similar video for each of the boxes.
You must have a huge death pile because you only got a little over 300 items listed on your eBay store or you must sell most of your stuff on Amazon. Great video as always. Love your enthusiasm your energy do you drink a lot coffee ? Lol 😂 hey just STAY SAFE BUDDY AND GOD BLESS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕☮️
Great video Jesse. Really enjoyed. Would love to see more like this. Regarding you subtracting money for poly mailers and the like: you could subtract every cent for every you could possibly use including the toilet paper and some people would still troll you. Sod them! Haters gonna hate. A hustler like you is gonna make his money!! 😁😅😉
@@ThriftSchool That's a lot to pay for what you got. Maybe there.is.some better stuff that I didn't see but man you have a lot that are worth very little. Even New some of them are like $6 to $8 shipped. A lot of work for little profit.
Ive gotten more returns from including slightly damaged slipcovers than not including them at all and just letting the buyer know that there is no slipcover.
@@ThriftSchool sounds like you made the right decision then lol. I’d definitely toss them if the market told me that most collectors will return and a small number won’t.
Hey! I have a huge stack of codes. I can sell em to you through instagram to avoid the ebay fees of youd like. My instagram is thriftschool as well and I can send you pics of all the ones I have.
This is by far the most thorough and honest pallet breakdown I've seen. Good job for not sugar coating anything. I hope you make a bundle.
Thank you so much! Im really happy you said this :)
@@ThriftSchool You bet. I wish you all the best and would love to see a follow-up video down the line, if you decide to do it, showing how they're selling on Amazon.
Where did you get these?
Dear God. The amount of work involved in listing those is insane.
Indeed, but worth it, I personally wouldn't have the patience 😅

@Yusuf Raymond It worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my account !
I haven't had much luck with this type of inventory. But I'll keep trying
Nice pick up!!! I just bought out two family video stores... Can't wait to see your other videos from the pallet..
what site do you use to buy the pallets from? any bas experiences?
Nice 👍 Question I have is where can I purchase a pallet or at least a couple of boxes of dvds ?
I formed this connection with a person. There are companies out there, but tbey are usually pretty crappy. I would just contact as many people as you can and try to form connections.
I have a couple of pallets for sale.
I really liked the breakdown you did of first box from the pallet. Looking forward to the next one. I hope you do really well on this buy. Best wishes! -Steven
i wished you showed more of what type of cds you got and what more dvds u got in other boxes
i loveeeee media. Please upload more vids like this in the future

Dont throw the slipcover away!. Some collectors like myself wouldn't mind a damaged slip.
dude same, slipcovers can add an extra dollar or 2 also. That one wasn't even that damaged honestly. I've sold some in worse shape.

What is a good rank so stay under for dvds? I just got ungated and have a lot of potential inventory to send in.
I like to stay under 100k
New to your channel. Wondering where do you get these pallets of media from?

Yes please do more of these videos
Yes please, would like to see how much on the rest 👍
If your selling local you could do a garage sale or see if you can set up a booth for flea market to get your money back a bit on the duds
First time commenting been watching for a few months. Love this video, great info, well done, keep'em coming!!
Where did you get this from? Do they only have cds?

Where'd you find this pallet?
Besides eBay, did you also give some of the DVDs, CDs, blu ray DVDs, and other media formats to your local Goodwill?
where were the fees for Amazon included in your calculations?
The totals I wrote down on the paper were the after fees totals given to me in the Amazon Seller App
I wouldn't mind watching you unboxing the Cds and DVDs. Maybe a video every couple days of you and a couple boxes each day. Take care 🎶✌❤😷
Just wondering where did he buy all the media from I don't think he said where he bought from.
Where did you order the pallet from?
Definitely do a series man! Excited for each box video to come.
I've always been too nervous to make that large of a purchase. Maybe one day ill do it but not yet.
I don't blame you. I am too
I was also. Then I just went for it a few years ago and I love making these huge purchases now
You better open all these boxes and show us, these are so interesting!
Can you use the wholesale receipt for Amazon and get ungated on some DVDs??
Yes do more videos like this! they are so interesting
Where did you get this from?
Curious about this as well
Nice! It seems like a lot of work, but easy.

Great video man. I would love to see how you scan, ship and package for Amazon. I primarily sell on eBay but have been wanting to try Amazon.
Full metal jacket is my all time favorite movie
I really enjoy this kind of video
Hope you make tons of money on this Jesse.
I did this and did well and the duds I just sold at a garage sale
How much for the full metal jack movie?
I can do $19 shipped on it. If you are interested message me on Instagram.
Can you trade them in to a second-hand store for credit?
Potentially. I actually didnt think about that
I just have a question. Would now be a profitable time to begin selling with FBA? I am on ebay but considering Amazon. Thanks for your video. I enjoyed it.
On Ebay Curse of Frankenstein goes between $15-$20 used. Good luck with the pallet!
Nice! Thanks!
What can we do if we see something in your video that we want? You had a Japanese anime DVD. Do we need to wait until it goes up on eBay?
Yeah I have my ebay link listed below in my description. If someone wants to buy a bulk amount of items we can always work out a deal through my Instagram which is Thriftschool
Waiting for part 2
Alreaey uploaded another box opening! I have about 5 more recorded that ill be trickling out over the next few weeks in between thrifting videos :)
Your net profit assumes 100% of the stuff you send to Amazon actually sells.
Of course
Keep the empty cases to replace the broken ones.
Hey do you collect. The digital codes
Great video! I like the idea for more videos about this.

Terrible assumption. Approximately 10% of these will sell for a profit. This guy makes his money from TH-cam, not flipping.

Just checked my Amazon and I have over 1500 listings there. I actually dont drink caffeine lol. I stopped about 8 years ago
so much work for slow moving inventory
Love to see videos like this.
OfficeMax shrink wraps items for 99 cents, Maybe worth it to fix the ones that are torn that have higher value
Would you be interested in buying a couple of pallets of dvds and blue rays?
Reach out to me on Instagram
Just had Vietnam flashbacks to watching the entire series of I, Claudius in AP Latin hahaha

lol you paid 4 dollars a pound for media. Come on you can get most of this stuff at goodwill bins for 1.09-1.49 a pound
Did u watch the video? Where can u get most new releases, 4ks and Blu rays for that price?
Thx for teaching me so much from your vids

Screw the numbers just start unboxing already

I'm always on the lookout for 3d Blu-rays and 4k Blu-rays at thrift/pawn shops. Easy money.b
Whoa.
No, don’t throw away that dust jacket thrift!
Hi
You shouldn't throw the dust covers away, even if they are damaged. You should leave that for the buyer to decide.

Why not just re shrink wrap them???
Cause thats against Amazons TOS. Dont want to get in trouble and lose my selling ability to make a few extra bucks
i cringe so much when you was throwing away the cases you could re use.
Nice
I've never been so early

My nephew corrected me when I said 'naruto' he said it's pronounced 'nar-toe' we are both guilty or he is flat out wrong lol
You were correct. It is pronounced Nah-Roo-Toe, or if you want to be more exact the way it is said in Japanese, Nah-Loo-Toe.
