I was watching some high end fashion show on TH-cam and my husband commented, " who would wear that?" I said, "think about it more like moving sculpture and less about clothing." Aww, this is so inspiring, I just ordered an underskirt for the dress I'm wearing on my birthday this year. It's gonna poof a bit, and I got the shoes last night... I love this channel when I'm thinking about getting ready!! I love to plan my looks after watching. Even if I miss the mark in anyone else's opinion, I feel good as long as I love it. I think these after-party looks reflect the personality of the people wearing the clothes a bit more than the red carpet looks, which reflect the designers more. Also, black patent leather is rarely wrong with a black suit. I liked those shoes just for the sake of kicking them off at the end of the night.
Congrats on getting past the finish line Luke. Why do fashion people seem so much more ok with strangeness? Oh, and we don't deserve you.
Okay, that Retrofete dress made me pause, browse for eternity because I found it, but then I saw their other stuff, so now, from a pearl obsessed sleuth, I became a Retrofete stan, because damn they are amazing mortal chic. Their leather garments, color play, subtle patterns, and embellished distressed denim just left my millennial ass gasping in a budgeting tantrum. Also, Naomi Campbell, as a golden ram, is not the moment. It's the whole damn century, thank you.
@15:28 Its more a reference of like Annie Oakley and female rodeo icons... the blue fringe and the sequin stars would have been featured on a 2 piece pant suit (possibly but unlikely skirt) with the fringe from the elbow down the back of the forearm and down the back of the pants or maybe chaps? with matching cowgirl hat and shiny six shooters on each hip... though yeah totally picking up on the beadwork too... but my first pickup when you said western was definitely the fringe (often done in darker blue leather or suede with matching the blue suede gloves to juxtapose the lighter blue of the rest of the garment) also sequin stars on the blue cowgirl boots etc...
