“UGH! I HATE your cooking, you’re a HORRIBLE housewife, but I STILL expect to be served meals and catered by you because you’re MY slave! You married into my family, you’re the slave and servant in our family!” God, Barbara just wants, wants, wants everything because she felt entitled to be treated like a queen by the DIL she sees as the “horrible housewife”. I can see why her ex-husband divorced her and got the hell out of there!
not before cheating... I almost sympathize with that. 😂 Considering she is a terrible person, I don't condone cheating though, should've divorced before it comes to that.
So all the time she's threatening and berating Alicia being gone over the three-day weekend, did she never notice that her son was gone, too? Where did she think he was? Can we just stop for a moment appreciate the strong, sterling spine David has? 😍😍😍😍
Wrong. You cook the unhappy whiner "Special" dishes--dishes that would gag a maggot. Had a friend who was ordered to make the coffee in his division onboard his new ship. He made it ONCE. Used the salt-water tap.
Barbara was the one who insulted the cook and the food she cooked 👩🍳so their is no point in making food for Barbara if she’s just going to throwing it away and saying it’s disgusting
Yeah, Davis misspoke, he meant he could see why his dad cheated and divorced his mom because she's an entitled Karen and she can't cook lol. At least it was only a month of living with such a witch and David and Alicia got away from that crazy woman lol.
She doesn't regret what she's done, she regrets losing her power. The absolute extreme is: Someone who will unalive themselves to avoid having their power taken away. I think it's determined by someone like a forensic psychiatrist.
Good evening from Auburn, Alabama 😊 I want to say "War Eagle" but, I'm to ashamed to acknowledge that sad excuse of a team!😢 Why did Bo Jackson get old!😫 I want my Cam Newton back!😭
The minute my mil would message me at work to complain and talk about discipline is the minute I would block her. The minute my husband didn't back me up is the minute I would start divorce proceedings
I really enjoyed this story! It was nice to have the husband/partner on the wife's side from the get-go.... him with his tongue hanging out for the stew his mom trashed was a good one!
I bet when David ate the food the first time in Alicia's restaurant, he had a Ratatouille flashback moment, but instead of his mother, it was the chef who cooked the food, and that led him to fall in love with Alicia.
I’m 59 and I’ve learned a few VERY IMPORTANT LESSONS. 1. Never insult the person that fills your belly. 2. Just do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING your wife tells you to do with a yes darling, and a big smile. 3. Do it immediately too. 4. Worship the person that empties your little fella. Happy wife, happy life! My reward full belly, drained little fella. Get to go hunting and/or fishing with a kiss and smile on her face.
When my parents built their house, Dad asked for 2 things: a basement and a purple wall in the bedroom. Everything else, he said "yes, dear." He got the basement and purple wall. She got her dream kitchen, bathroom, closet, etc. 🙃
It always floors me in these stories when the MiL decides to stop cooking when the DiL's in the picture. I couldn't imagine doing that, but then I like to cook and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
I love my eggs over easy or sunny side up. I sop it up with toast or biscuits. Maybe some hashbrowns, and some bacon , too. Apple butter or strawberry jam, also. 🥰
Okay my biggest problem with this one is David pretty much brushed off his dad’s infidelity because his mother can’t cook for sh*t … that and Alicia being a human doormat for so long … is there something in the water to make so many human doormats???
I didn't read Alicia as a doormat; just that it took them that full month to find a new place so they could get away from Barb. David was HUGELY out of pocket for that cruel comment to Barbara. Restrict the dragging to her behavior!
Barbara is such a hypocrite criticizing Alicia's cooking when she was the one that's never cooked in her life not to mention she went and bought all that food from guess where? Oh that's right Alicia's family
Why do mil’s suddenly become invalids when their dil and son move in upon their request? It’s like they now have a live in slave that not only does everything but also pay all the bills, food included and give them money. None of it is appreciated, instead they’re bullied and shamed. Glad to see a story where the couple love each other and stick together
What is it with these mother in laws thinking they have the right to sit on their ass's and expect the daughter in law to wait on them hand and foot. I'm so glad I had the mother in law I got blessed with.
I love these mils who when they live with their children they can’t or they won’t cook can’t do housework yet they criticize their dils for the way they do things.
Oh gosh I feel so bad that the stew was tossed down the garburator. In my experience the longer you can wait to eat it the better it will be because it gives the flavours time to meld…more advice from my mum. I wonder if she made dumplings a real stew when I was a slightly bit younger had dumplings…. Just one more family treasure that I won’t make or eat choices , choices ones that are the best that I have ever made. G’night from the far east have a great day evening night when you have the time 😊❤🎉❤
A funny idea that could have happened(Sorry for random caps it's suppose to be a mocking imitation of the MIL) MIL: HeR fOoD iS sO bAd It'S pOiSoNoUs! David: If that's the case you would have killed me with poison long ago since her family runs the restaurant you use to pretend was your cooking
My MIL is just like that especially to cooking and she doesn't cook often herself nor is it good! Her and My FIL was all over me subtle and passive aggressive remarks! I LITERALLY REFUSED TO COOK OR COME IN THE KITCHEN IF THEY WERE HOME! They complained to other family members but people just told them, I am not thier child and of course I as a woman or the rule of Chefs we cook in a a Kitchen unto ourselves don't bother me!
I wouldn't put up with this MIL for one day. Either he put her in a retirement place or I'm divorcing him. If MIL can complain, then she can clean, wash dishes, laundry and clean the house. No wonder FIL divorced her.
I'd say he was desperate for any woman to treat him with some kindness, and since he got none of that from his wife he went looking for it elsewhere. That ghastly woman drove everyone away, one by one.
When you recognize that your in-laws are treating you poorly, put your foot down right then and there. Be stern with what you have to say. The only reason why they start using you like a Doormat is because of hesitation.
Eating from a restaurant for 20 years? That expensive as hell and unless this restaurant regularly changes the menu pretty repetitive with only so many dishes to select.
As someone who loves to cook, this broke my heart. I cannot imagine having a MIL like that. So glad Alicia and David moved out of that hell hole, and kudos to David for cutting ties. It was pretty funny how she desperately tried to prevent them from moving out. Edit - I forgot to say that Barbara should’ve realized how lucky she was to have a daughter-in-law that was so nice, polite, and most of all, can cook.
Also adding the fact that Barbara would get her food from a restaurant that Alicia’s family owns is priceless 🤭
Alicia ignoring Barbara during that loooong weekend was the best respond ever! LOL!
😂😂😂😂 I LOVED it!
Nice to see another one with the hubby standing up for his wife, and the DIL standing up for herself too!
My favorite part was Barbara losing her mind with Alicia ignoring her 😂😂
That and the way they pronounced Alicia (“Al - E -Sha”) “Al- eh - C- ah” lol I’ve not heard that one
@klinder007 Was going to comment about that also! I'm Australian, so we pronounce Alicia as "A Lee Sha".
@@TaterKakez it is quite like the german pronounciation :)
That’s the best way to be petty. Just don’t react
That was the best! Ignoring her and her losing her mind was the best!🤣
It’s so nice to see a husband take up for his wife!!!
In some of the "evil mother in law" stories he sides WITH the mother in law and ALSO mistreats the wife.
@@Zurround Yes. It was nice that the husband didn't do that in this story.
Refreshing that David wasnt a spineless Mama's boy.

Professional Chef with 30 years experience here. A stew always tastes better the next day.
One of the main rules for living in a home, don't insult the cook.
Insulting the cook can be considered hazardous to your health.
its easy for you to say that at all😮
Don't f with the people that handle your food. Should be Common sense
Instead, kiss the cook 🍳🍽🥣🫕 😘
@@chariesmith Since I'm the cook in my house its an easy rule.
interesting fact, stew and simillar foods actually taste better the day after you cook them
That is for sure.
Yup, stew is always better the second day.
Yes. The flavors have a chance to meld properly.
True dat.
Same for cake. Put it in the freezer the day before. Then let it thaw and that's how you get moist cake
Barbara kept messaging Alicia demanding she come home...but...didn't it ever occur to her that David wasn't home either? 😮
So all the time she's threatening and berating Alicia being gone over the three-day weekend, did she never notice that her son was gone, too? Where did she think he was?
Can we just stop for a moment appreciate the strong, sterling spine David has? 😍😍😍😍
Barbara needs to pay Alicia the cost of the food every time she throws it out.
I agree. I would've been so pissed.
Barbara (keyword: barb) was the REAL problem here. No sense cookin' for someone who's NEVER happy, no matter what you cook.
That’s true.
Wrong. You cook the unhappy whiner "Special" dishes--dishes that would gag a maggot. Had a friend who was ordered to make the coffee in his division onboard his new ship. He made it ONCE. Used the salt-water tap.
Cardinal code: don't mess with people who handle your food
Barbara throwing a tantrum is so entertaining
I know!😂

Yep. And it’s really funny how she says she would teach Alicia how to cook, when she herself, never, and I mean NEVER, cooked in her life.
The yolk was practically RAW?! I love me some sunny side up eggs!!! Can I come over to eat?
I love eggs! I’ll join you.
May I join? Only mine needs to be over easy. Liquid yolks, but firm whites.
@@marylynch4178 have that for breakfast most days! Yummy!

Complain about my cooking? Don’t eat it and make your own darn food.
Watching Barbara go nuts over getting ghosted was oh so lovely~ XD
It sure was!😂

I love this HUSBAND ❤️❤️❤️
Those eggs sound like good old dippy eggs to me- a way of life here.
As far as my wife and mother, my mom always raved about my wife's cooking.
Dishes are piling up , and the only one in the house is Barbara , I guess she must be cooking for herself
I'd have done the same thing to Barbara. Complain about the food, don't get any food. Thank God they moved too! So glad the son took his wife's side.
This was really nice twist and good that it wasn’t working in a factory.
I bet when David ate the food the first time in Alicia's restaurant, he had a Ratatouille flashback moment, but instead of his mother, it was the chef who cooked the food, and that led him to fall in love with Alicia.

Good Afternoon All 👋😃 Enjoy ✌️
How come Barbara didn’t miss David 🤣🤣🤣🤣
For me? If you do not want to eat what I cooked then DON'T. NO SKIN OFF MY NOSE.
I love how Alicia was reading that crazy mil's texts but never responds best way just ignore them and they will explode in time no need to argue
Tell the MIL to cook her own food if she does not like your cooking!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I absolutely love this one. It was great keep up the good work and thank you so much for the entertainment I do enjoy it.
These stories make me SO HAPPY that I'm single and I don't have to deal with nuts like this...
This is the Best one I have watched. 😂😂 "How many times did Barbara say "Alicia"?? I do agree with Veronica 😂😂
What is it with these mother-in-laws always saying they will 'discipline' their daughter-in-laws!!? That's crazy!
Finally a man that has his wife's back aleast he's not a mama's boy and protects his wife
So this mother in law wasted food that took time and money to make only because she doesn't like her daughter how horrible
Honestly, the reason David's dad cheated on the mother was probably her poor attitude, not just lying about cooking dinner all those years...
I love my eggs over easy or sunny side up.
I sop it up with toast or biscuits. Maybe some hashbrowns, and some bacon , too. Apple butter or strawberry jam, also. 🥰
"that tap-ass" place makes me laugh every time.
I love that she ignored the MIL all weekend
OMG! Everything said in the "after that" good lord lol. What a pain
I would have thrown Ms Barbara out right after she threw the stew out.I did snicker about Alicia ignoring texts though.

There are 8 billion people on this planet. If 1% are doormats, that's 80,000,000 people. 🤯😳
Evening everyone
lol...Ms. Barbara was heated....
Barbara gets just what she deserves with her bossiness; she learns that you reap what you sow.
Good Evening . hope all had a great day.
Runny yolk? Oh no! I love my yolk runny, but my whites must be done.
Barbara is such a hypocrite criticizing Alicia's cooking when she was the one that's never cooked in her life not to mention she went and bought all that food from guess where? Oh that's right Alicia's family
This is why I don't respect elderly people. They complain about not getting respect but they themselves don't respect others.

Never bit the hand that feeds you.
My favorite part was how he pronounced Tapas.

This was the best way to handle a MIL from hell.
A new variant of biting the hand that feeds you. And then wondering why karma sharpens its teeth and bites back.
This food being cooked in the background looks delicious!
Just because you married someone doesn’t mean you have to live with their parents who miss treat you

So good to hear a story where the husband stood up for his wife against his awful mother. I hate mamma's boys. 😂😂
Make your own breakfast and lunch, Barbara.
Sounds like Babs needs to be fed ye olden workhouse diet for awhile.
Made me laugh. My mum was a awfuul cook.the famous brown stuff with bits floating in it was a stew.
...dang it, don't answer her messages and let her throw a fit.

Ha! Barbara husband cheating on her, hmm 🤔 I wonder why!🤣🤣 Cheating is wrong but I'll give David's dad a pass. 😂

Hello 👋❤
Hi Olivia 👋👋🇨🇦
👋🏻 hello
Eating from a restaurant for 20 years? That expensive as hell and unless this restaurant regularly changes the menu pretty repetitive with only so many dishes to select.
Yolky eggs are the best with biscuit
For Pete's sake! Do them yourself!
The background was making me hungry!
Finally, a husband who is not a mommy's boy.
As someone who loves to cook, this broke my heart. I cannot imagine having a MIL like that.
So glad Alicia and David moved out of that hell hole, and kudos to David for cutting ties.
It was pretty funny how she desperately tried to prevent them from moving out.

Your first mistake is referring to her as Ms. Barbara
Stew improves in flavor the next day. The flavors meld. Yum.
