I hate when people on TH-cam talk about "low budget" or "no budget" and are using 10s of thousands of dollars worth of equipment while renting a space while having an entire team on set.
😳 I get you brother but almost everyone has a camera and maybe you don’t have all this gear but the idea is still the same. You grab some friends throw up some lights and as long as you know the basics you can make a movie.
It's not about the equipment; it's about the techniques. This video focuses on how, for example, you can shoot an underwater scene on a shoestring budget, among other things. You could use any camera-even a potato-but to create a compelling image, mastering the techniques is key. That's the essence of this video.
@ couldn’t have said it better myself. I think the most important thing about TH-cam is paying attention to what you could take away from the videos and not what you lack, especially with what you lack on the equipment/gear side of things.
@@Alexzarfatifilms I have a lot of the gear necessary to build up these types of looks --- it doesn't change the fact that the title is extremely misleading. To get the "Netflix" look you often need a lot of gear from powerful lights to sets to dressing the set to dollies and so on and so on. Your visuals are always great so not hating on your look but this isn't the first channel I've seen come out with videos where they're using tens of thousands in gear and talking about low budget. No hate at all. Just calling it for what it is.
@@DrRishabhGarg You are absolutely wrong. Did you see the final product of that underwater scene? He was using a C80's triple base native ISO and shooting at up to 12800 ISO and getting clean images. Did you also see the amount of lighting he was using? Haze machine? The grip gear? C'mon now. Like I said in my response to him --- I have a lot of the gear necessary to pull off these looks but it's EXTREMELY misleading to say you're getting Netflix quality imagery with "no budget". Most people won't even get access to a pool like that without paying a considerable amount. And let's even forget the lighting and low light capabilities --- Netflix caliber visuals require smooth camera movement --- so dollies/cranes are not "no budget". I actually like his videos and what he's teaching here is all great --- it's just the "no budget" is EXTREMELY misleading.
I’m going to do miniature photography/videos and all of these are excellent concepts for me too keep in mind. I’m even getting a mini fog machine and rotating display stand soon! 🎉
