So after five years there's a cliffhanger? Yeah, not a fan of that.
Just finished it yesterday !
And I'm SO TO-TAL-LY agreeeeeed with you !!
How could tehy just left us there, after **such documented** scenario with NO-THING if we don't got all cubes ???
I'm soooo deceived since yesterday, after months of exciting adventures with our team !!
Really cooled me to make this game discovered by other people to avoid them such frustration !!!
& Congrats for your review Rahdo !
I also feel like that is a pretty long "Season." It took 4 years to complete the first season!
Loved this module, along with Lunen Fidei and Brotherhood of the coast I thought this was one of the best.
I more than fully agree with your final complaint - it really appears like "oh, shoot, we need to do something with all that [redacted]... well, let's make an all or nothing solution, so, funny! Only 1% will be able to solve it, har, har..." It really appears unprofessional, especially as you may simply not have gotten all [redacted] in the previous games, and already one missing piece of the puzzle leaves you on the loosing side - then searching through all previous adventures, even if you still have them all, is just mega-gaming and a waste of time (we simply searched - with some frustration - for the solution on BGG).
Icaion sitting there in the back :^)
yup, i filmed it and time stories on the same day, and forgot to take the box down. if you look close you can see some of the icaion components behind the TS box on the table as well... i just swept it off to the side :)
I remember your issue with Time Stories was the poor 2 player implementation. Did you put up a video explaining a 2 player variant?
i never did a video, but i did post about it on boardgamegeek: www.boardgamegeek.com/article/22413568#22413568
for this mission, as a "2p" game, i gave us 7tu every run because that would give us a total of 14 actions. in a 3p game it's officially 5tu, which is 15 actions, and in a 4p it's 4tu, which is 16 actions. so 7tu that felt about right compared to the official time limits :)
I am very intrigued in how you finished this one with only 2 players.
@@Tokikosworld i used the same home variant as always, and it worked great :)
With 3 players, we had to take an additional 2-3 runs just to finish the game. Thanks to how the Imprints work.
Could I get the links for Lost?
I would fully recommend you WatchThe Leftovers. Also by Lindelof
here ya go... it was written 7 years ago and i think some of the image links are broken now, but the text should all still be there: lostislandhistory.wordpress.com/ :)
Bit late to the video here, but your comment about not expecting the overarching story to be wrapped up here because it's only 'the end of season 1'... My understanding about the blue cycle is that you ONLY get info on the overarching story if you purchase a separate module for the game. This worries me that it's not going to continue the story but do something different. Certainly, the main story will only become a secondary part of the game since it won't come with the base modules and is extra content. I definitely fear a 'Lost' style situation! Hopefully I'm wrong. But I'm afraid in any case I'm with the masses - this scenario was horrible for me for so many reasons. I don't disagree with the things you liked about it - in fact I'm in agreement with all 3 - but the negative things for me were the more important elements, and also they felt greater in magnitude than the positives!
wow, that's interesting if you have to buy seperate metastory content? weird choice!
@@rahdo I think the decision is to make TIME Stories have a wider appeal, because much like an Exit: The Game module, you can just pick one up and play it and not have to worry about anything outside of that one contained package. I can see the appeal in that for the production team but for us big fans of the game, I just worry how well the continuity of the story will work since it needs the extra content. Although maybe actually it will work better - maybe one designer will be in charge of it, whereas in the white cycle different designers made each scenario so it's hard for a consistent story to continue and be developed, especially when several scenarios are being developed at one time.
Where do you stand on people discussing spoilers in the comments Rahdo, since you avoid them so well in the video? I feel I have to ask you why certain things didn't bother you haha!
(Also it's worth saying that my understanding about needing this extra purchase - think they're calling it 'Experience' - for the overarching story may well be incorrect!)
@@vic7000 feel free to ask away, just maybe do this little trick. start the post with something like "warning spoilers" then do a bunch of empty lines

Just a passing correction, Louis XIV was Baroque not Renaissance.
timestamp please

this is perhaps my fave goof correction of all time! :)

Love your channel. I’m just glad you didn’t think I was being snarky.
If a reviewer can't be honest then they shouldn't post videos.
