I like the idea that Darkstar hid Bowser Jr. In a hidden away basement of the castle and Bowser never thought to look through his entire castle, and ended up going through 7 worlds before Darkstar revealed that they're actually just at Bowser's Castle
That's why he made him think Mario did it. So that he could take over the castle while Bowser was going after Mario.

I love how he was trying to get the third coin in 8-2, but kills the koopa he needed without batting an eye.
My goodness, The Bowser vs. Dark Bowser makes me so nostalgic.
I love how the final phase actually had the Bowser vs. Dark Bowser/Dark Star theme from the Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
Now that I think about it, it would've been mega cool if they involved Giant Bowser in the Mario and Luigi game, just like this amazing, amazing, flash game.

Such a cool fangame. Love all of the Mario fanservice we got in these episodes, whether it be from the mainline titles or the RPG series.

Bonus world: good music in a good world in a good series
Just watched the whole series while waking up, making breakfast and such.
That last segment had some absurdly good animations for a flash game, I am very impressed. Whoever made this put a lot of work into this and sacrificed music variety for little details like flag icons, course details and stuff like that like the revamped 1-1. Absolutely incredible game! Would love an actual ROM hack port of this because it's just that good. But still, that last segment was pure gold :D Kaiju mode ON and let's go!
I just like how Bowser Jr keeps looking at Bowser when he moves left to right
I watched this series from the start, BTG, and have had a lot of fun watching it.
That plot twist put a provocative "would you rather" scenario in my head. You end up with a Fire Emblem Fates kind of scenario, and end up having to choose between siding with Peach or Bowser, and cannot go a neutral path. Who will you side with, and why?
I'll go first. I would rather be by Bowser's side. His loyalty to those be considers family is out of this world. From a practical standpoint, I think he's always had the Mushroom Kingdom in checkmate. If war between the two kingdoms happens again, Bowser would win within one day, perhaps even less than an hour. Just look at the New Super Mario games from Wii onward, and all of the 3D Super Mario games (except 3D World). He checkmates Peach within a day every time. The scary part is, he could easily take the Mushroom Kingdom down by force. Mario and Luigi actually don't stand a chance if he gets truly serious, just look at SMB The Lost Levels. I'm convinced the Mario Brothers did not survive that timeline, that game is sooo hard.
Bowser's just too nice a guy to conquer the world, I'm convinced of that. He's too busy playing Switch with Junior and getting the best tomes for his Magikoopas to learn from. He's an amazing father figure, being a tiny bit stern but letting the Koopalings' and his son's passions flourish.
Best king ever? You be the judge. I'd rather pick the dragon-turtle I empathize with than a secretive, lackadasical princess. Rawr!
Man this series is the game we need, we need more games where we play as the enemy

This was a good series. Glad to have been a part of it so far. I really like that the Mario, Luigi, and Bowser sprites, at least Bowser for the final battle, were based on the Mario and Luigi superstar saga stuff.

I think there's an RPG, but we def need a 2D or 3D Bowser platformer. Even playing as him in Odyssey was really fun.
I feel like the idea of a bowser game is gonna become a meme like waluigi's taco stand.
Loved it! Favorite enemy is a hard one to pick, but I think Tanooki Toad was a really clever idea. I liked Wario, and Peach as bosses. Also, I really liked the blue tones of this last world. Dark Bowser looked pretty awesome!

Sorry to answer this late, but I for sure want to leave a comment. Been a fan of the series ever since the beginning. I specially love your commentary, like introducing any potential watcher with phrases like: "If this is your first time watching an episode, no big deal!" Or calling every single episode Bowser Coins "Mowser Coins". It's so chilling watching you play this mellow game with your calming and carefree attitude. And some of your comments were hilarious, as you may remember (IT'S A ME!). Will be here for the series finale for sure!!
