    Good day, sir! I am a 35-year-old guy who just got his commercial pilot license and aiming to be a airline pilot. I found this channel just these days and so excited that so many interesting material for me, for one who is interested in being a pilot as well. It took years for me to finally make up my mind to be a pilot. I am quite interested that what and how a pilot, captain made himself/herself became a pilot, their story, their hard work story. This about 2-year-ago-uploaded video, the words are really inspired and encouraging. And I just download the App, Mentour Aviation you mentioned at another video. I definitely stay on tune and excited to see the upcoming videos which tell stories and also the professional parts as well. Have a good day, sir!

    Such great advice. Wish schools (I'm in the US) would do a better job helping kids define career goals and a plan to achieve them. I was a terrible student in high school because I didn't have any plans for what I wanted to do after I graduated. Luckily I found my way but it took a lot of fumbling around and wasted time.

    my father worked at our local airport so i was there quite often. i remember us playing tennis at the airport's tennis field and i usually took a break for every plane coming in or taking off :-)
    i always wanted to go down the pilot route, tho i grew pretty tall around age 12 and so they told us that i won't be able to be a commercial pilot if i only grew 4 or 5 cm more.. so i had to give up because the risk was way too high

    2. You are talking to the Capt( In flight or before flight)., and you smell alcohol. Although you didn’t see him drinking, what would you do?

    hi,i am a female, 17 years old and i would like to ask you some questions,because this is my dream job and almost everyone keep on telling me that way too hard to actually become a pilot and other stuff and i would like to clarify those questions by asking someone that has experience and actually knows about this job :
    1)how much exactly does it cost to become an airline pilot?
    2)how many years would it take until i can fly with an airline?
    3)what exactly do i have to do/the exact steps to be a pilot and what subjects should i take in high school?
    4)many people say that nowadays pilots don't earn as much as they use to,can you tell me how much do you earn?
    5)being a pilot means that you can actually travel around the world?
    6)at what age ill be able to be a pilot
    and finally what exactly do airlines require to recruit you?

      Giliana Petrova Hello
      Sorry for replying 2 years later. 😂😂
      Well hopefully I can be of some use if you have not any questions answered.
      1) It costs a lot but depends a lot depending on the flight school. For me, I will get a degree which will cost 30,000 and a flight school costs around 50-100 thousand and a type rating costs around 10-15 thousand (all in pounds). So it would cost a lot. As I'm in the U.K. I would be spending around 90-100 thousand on my education for piloting.
      It is very expensive but don't worry, I'm not rich and I believe I can save up money by getting a small job early and saving, getting some money off of family and finally getting a student loan.
      2) finish high school by 16
      Get a levels by 18
      Get degree by 21 (22 if you take a gap year)
      Spend 1-2 years in flight school and getting a type rating, so by the time you are 23-25, to get a small regional job.
      3) he has a whole video on this (which is probably what I have seen in these 2 years)
      4) regional pilots earn between 15-30 thousand pounds. However after some time and years in the large airlines you can earn up to 150,000 pounds.(which is basically covering all your debts in 1 year, although u would have payed it off way before that)
      5) yes being a pilot can take u to many destinations around the world, but only if it is a large airline and you fly long or medium haul.
      6) you can become a pilot for regionals as soon as you get your 1500 hours at around 24-25 (at the youngest)
      I hope you are still around and using your account to see this. All said by a 15 year old.

      @@deepalisaraf6011 no there is no job garantee if you go through a flight school. But if you try to through an pilot cadet program through an airline such as the British airways future flyer program, there is a guaranteed job at the end. Some other airlines also do this scheme such as easy jet and virgin. The issue with this is that it is very hard to get into with around 3500 applicants and less than 100 getting in

    2- do you think that the role of the pilot in cometial aviation will be replaced by ground pilot like the drone pilots ?.

    It is "standard template". The life is different from "standard template". So goals change as you become older. Do you know many examples, when "standard template" gets to best result? To my opinion, it depends on many factors, which you can't influence. So "work hard" is direct, but not good advice. My correction is "understand principles, and make decision". But it is not simple when you are teenager...

    Hi a bit of a strange question... [sorry]....
    The sensation of flying is that, unlike driving a car on a straight road and not steering much to keep a straight line, there is, in the air, this fluidity and consequently the unpredictability of where the plane will be a mile or so ahead from your current location if careful inputs are not applied.
    This could mean shifts away from the localiser and glidepath on a final approach to land and deviations that a professional pilot monitors and maintains.
    What i want to know is, how easy is it to keep the ILS crossed in finals and how quickly does the glide slope pointer move at short finals and for example at 1nm out what is the maximum difference in altitude away from the glide one can be to be ok to land - are these standards set by the industry and do pilots get questioned by their bosses if deviations occur.
    If my memory serves me correctly i saw a pilot pull up leveling off at around 40 ft above the threshold of a runway for a couple of seconds before making a late touch down. At first I thought it was a poor landing but it was deliberate because i noticed afterwards his parking was at the other end of the airport. Travelling at over 140mph is it easy to get your touch down point or does flying fluidity introduce this 'feeling' of randomness and you are always off by l00's of m's.
    Thank you.

    • @EnthusiasticCoder
      @EnthusiasticCoder 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!!!.
      Not sure if you have seen the approaches to Madeira -- no stability in these approaches whatsoever.
      Have you ever been tempted to fly this approach yourself and perhaps you have already done a few. If so, what has been your experience with these types of approaches where stability seems out of the window (excuse the pun:)) from 500 ft all the way down to touch-down. How do bosses assess these types of approaches. They seem pretty random. Every pilot is doing their own random curve to the threshold.
      Thank you once again!

This is of course, my dream as well, and I know that I'm still at a young age to decide (13 years old) , but I noticed that my local university offers a degree in aeronautical engineering. Is that a degree that would be useful when applying to become a pilot? Also, I would want to go to my local flight school (FAA Approved). Will attending the flight school and studying aeronautical engineering be paths that could lead to becoming a pilot?

One of my options for university's says you will graduate with a bachelors degree and a CPL along with a Multi-Engine rating and Multi-Instrument rating. I know that a lot of the airlines now a days require you to have a degree of some sort so I believe this should be a great way. I got interested in aviation and in pilot as a profession for about 2 years ago so im not one of those who has been dreaming about becoming a pilot all my life. Im still very determinated that being a pilot would be the dream job cos i dont want a normal 9 to 5 job and i want to work and live abroad. I want a exciting job that thrills me every day. What i heard is that is almost impossible to new educated pilots to get hired and many even go without job for a long time. Is that only because the pilots wants to work in the same country they live in, for example Sweden? or is the situation the same world wide for pilots? I mean i would definitly move to Asia and work many years if that is the easiest way to get a job. Im just being very very hesitated if i should go for it or not. Thanks for your videos anyway! very appreciated.

    Tack för videon du lagt upp, tro eller ej men det behövs och tack vare sådana personer som dig finns det videon som den här. Mina känslor för aviation har precis dykt upp vid 16 års ålder, jag går gymnasium 1:an. Jag har gjort mycket undersökning, det jag inte är riktigt säker på är lite om att CSN täcker för 500000kr men är det så att man måste ge resten alltså 250000 själv eller kan man låna från banken eller något, för tro mig, mina intressen för att bli pilot är hög!! Och den delen när du sa att du hade ett prefekt record menade du register på svenska. Jag går natur föresten och jobbar häcken av mig. Att bli pilot är det ända jag kunnat tänka på de senaste 5 månaderna så kan du vara så snäll att kontakta mig?!

    I want to become a pilot. I am thinking about getting my pilots lisance then putting job requests in for airlines company like Easy Jet. Would this be the correct way to go for a piloting career or what other path would you suggest?

    • @CPTLYNXY
      @CPTLYNXY 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah, for easy jet you need to get on there cadet scheme with l3 or cae academy. Or get your ATPL and a320 type rating and get roughly 500 minium on type. Then you might land a first officer job
      With them

      ***** Thanks. I've got a few questions.
      1)if i am an emirates pilot, does that mean i have to move to Dubai?
      2)i'm 13, so what do you recommend for me to do now at this age if i want to become a airline pilot in the future?
      3)is flight training funded by the government in the UK? (flight school)

    • @CPTLYNXY
      @CPTLYNXY 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do not need a degree to be a airline pilot!!. You need roughly 100k cash or loan and be semi decent at maths and physics to pass the ATPL theory ground school exams

Sorry if this question seems repetitive but Im on my 2nd high school year in sweden and I kind of do not know where to start if i want to become a pilot, would you mind recommending what i should take under concideration and also which flight school do you recommend? I like to travel a lot and visit different countries, would i still have is opportunity as a pilot or do i not have that much free time? Thanks for replying!
