Clariss, ¿que pasa, hermana? It took a while to see this since I thought it would occur later but better late than never. When I first heard that Sing will have a sequel, I was so excited because since I love the first film, I knew that this one won’t let me down. From what I noticed from most people, they were kind of disappointed that Buster had to lie his way to perform their show; given how he did do that previously. However, we knew that his intentions were true and because of that, we can’t hold any resentment since everything he did was for the people in his life that made his dream into reality. When I saw Crystal was treating everyone, especially Moon, I too despise those who think so highly of themselves that they believe they should get all the credit just because they gave what the people wanted. Throughout the entire sequence of the story, everyone had their side plots, especially Johnny and Ash. His choreographer was so hard on him that he had to seek help from elsewhere while she was trying to bring someone back from the shadows due to the loss of a loved one. In this film, I truly loved Johnny’s performance, just like in the predecessor because he came a long way since we were introduced to him for being the first one of many singers chosen for Moon Theater. When Nooshi gave him the encouragement by providing the beat, that was a sign of a true teacher since she never lost faith in him even at his lowest so it was a real treat to see him ascend to greatness. Tori Kelly, once again, used her beautiful voice on us with the help of Pharrell Williams, another phenomenal singer. Fitting since he was with us ever since the first Despicable Me film. As for Ash and Clay, it was very touching to see them perform because of how impactful music can be in our hearts and souls. For someone who never listened to U2, I couldn’t have known about Bono nor the songs that were provided here but there’s a first time for everything, right? Lastly, when Crystal was undermining Buster at every turn he got, I was so frustrated because he judged him as if he knew him when in reality, he didn’t knew s**t about Moon. He has been in the show business ever since he was a child and with the support of this father, he never lost sight on what mattered the most: the love for the theater. As a result, he shared that joy with the rest of his hometown and it was time to reveal that to the planet, as he should. They are exceptional group of talented people that you could ever have the chance to meet and now, their cementing their place in entertainment history. If only his father was still around to see everything his son has accomplished. He deserves the world and no one can take that away from him.
Something I noticed was that, in the last scene of Sing 2, Moon is leaning on the balcony and it mirrors Sing 1, when he’s a little kid seeing the theater for the first time. It makes me tear up every time I see either scene because I know that he grows up and he never loses the love for the theater he gained when he was little.
That is true. If his father was still here, he would be crying in joy knowing that his son has truly valued and appreciated his sacrifice to support his passion.
The cool thing about Gunters play is that even when he couldn't pin anything down, it was because he was trying to give everyone equally important parts. Nobody was left in the trenches, not even Portia
My only problem with Portia is how damn rude she was insulting Rosita like that. And she annoyed me with how much of an entitled spoiled rotten brat she was. And she didn't even apologize for her being late to rehearsals and that comment.
Johnny learning to dance was the best part of this sequel especially when he performed on stage and put his dance teacher to shame in front of the audience
I find it interesting that Johnny is the only one that has to learn a whole new ability in both movies. In the first movie he had to learn how to play the piano, and in this movie he had to learn how to dance.
Well, technically he had to relearn how to play the piano cause he has experience playing it before but because it has been so long he got rusty and needed lessons to freshen up and get better
Do you post this same comment on all the Sing 2 reactions? lol Also, rosita has to learn to dance and then learns to bungee jump/high dive so it's not exactly accurate.
Something that I love about your reactions is that I never want to skip and move on to the next video as soon as the actual reaction finishes. Especially for musical oriented films like this because you just get it. Especially as someone who is currently in my second year of musical theatre at drama school currently, it just resonates so strongly. Like seriously, I've had more breakdowns than I can count and we're still in our first term, and second year is usually that year where you begin to doubt everything. I was absolutely buzzing when I saw you had uploaded your reaction to the sequel and I'm so happy you enjoyed Sing 2 as much I did. I originally only watched it because Scarlett Johansson voices in it (who I absolutely adore) and then ended up falling in love with the entire plot and characters.
I have to say as someone with basic performing/theatre knowledge, your reaction/commentary to this film was very refreshing ❤. So many of the people I’ve seen react to this movie clearly don’t know anything about performing or what goes on behind the scenes of performances [,understandably,], so it was very refreshing to watch a reactor who was actually knowledgeable about these things. A great reaction, nonetheless! I love this movie and my favorite part is when Portia sings “Could Have Been Me” 🎶❤️🎭!
I don't typically care for jukebox musicals, but you've made the Sing movies very enjoyable; so much so that I'm actually glad there is supposedly a third one on the way. Also, I like when you cover a film that focused on some sort of arts, you offer encouragements to the characters and the viewers of the video alike.
Sing was a pleasant surprise for me; I saw previews and it seemed peppy and full of good songs so I gave it a look and I really liked it, so when Sing 2 came out I was ecstatic, and it did not disappoint. Also, Clariss, you seem very passionate, very wise, and very funny, as well as very pretty, if I may say. I stumbled upon your Hunchback of Notre Dame reaction and have been watching others as well; keep up the good work!
I watched Sing 2 for the first time just recently as well & it was such a good movie! I loved seeing your reaction to it & hearing your perspective, thank you for sharing 😊
This movie was, like, ten thousand times better than the first one. Maybe partially because Mike is DEAD(lol, that mouse was the worst part of one). The guy who stayed up all night to make that musical plan DESERVES a raise! The whole "Out of this World"show was great, but the Dance battle and Johnny humbling the instructor, as well as the Planet of Joy, with Porsha standing up to her father, were my fave.
For Mina's age, i was wondering the same thing, i looked it up and she is officially out of high school and at least 18, so, her playing with a older partner is a lil less creepy, but yeah her stage partner is a lil creepy at first ngl
Sing 2 might be Illumination's Best Sequel! The performances were NEXT LEVEL and love the additional characters!!! If a 3rd movie happens, I would love it to be about Buster's mental health and he gets to sing.
Interesting detail to Johnny; his struggle with balancing on the staff makes perfect sense because the legs of a gorilla are much weaker than their arms. The tiger pulls it off effortlessly because all of their four limbs are equally strong. Clever usage of species anatomy
my favorite music being part of the scene, was the finale of brain dead :> There is a singer that opens every episode, and this one he opens as normal, and then they cut to the scene inside, and he's still playing outside as one of the guys taps on the window and is like, "hey were trying to tal here."
Hi Clariss I love your reaction to this movie I ever watched Tim's reaction to it too. I still have the drink up of this movie🥤 I love the songs in these movies so many familiar once , The streets have no name. Nothing holding me back. Hello. Bad guy. Very a friend. Still haven't found what I'm looking for.🎙🎸🎶❤ I hope they make a third movie soon.
I strongly recommend the movie Oscar. Its Silvester Stallone and its a full blown _comedy._ He plays a middle aged gangster who promises his dying father that he'll go straight. The movie is a single day of him trying very hard NOT to be a gangster. I know it might be hard to believe but it is *really* funny. Oh, Tim Curry's in it if that helps.

@@summerrose8110 this is one of the many reasons why Porsha is actually a terrible character
@@summerrose8110 Yeah. What she did to Rosita is uncalled for!
Mrs Crawley singing SOAD in the car was the best scene
13:10 who knew miss Crowley was a metal head 😂 and a drill sergeant I think she had flashbacks of a different in her life

"With or Without You" my favorite song by U2. Still one of the best sequels and i like this franchise as much as music🎼
Am glad you’re reacting to this! :) my nephews love this movie haha
Just like the first Sing i absolutely love Sing 2 and the everytime i see the scene where the spirit Clay's wife shows up i tear up

If I remember correctly, Yo Yo Mah used to play in the NYC subway. Crystal's minion was voiced by the director. And, I love Nooshy and Ash.
What you said at the end ( even though I'm not an actor ) has helped so Thank You :)

And director for "Where the Wild Things Are"!
@@phousefilms I forgot about that one. I also almost forgot he directed Adaptation. And is one of the co-creators of Jackass.

The Billie Eilish song was my favorite part of the movie.
Cool Video Clariss
14:41, She kinda reminds me of one of my cousins. God she was so rude, though she was like five years old.
I have always wonder what movies you have been in
You should consider watching the wild robot if u get the chance
I love the music in the sequel. Rosita did a better job singing break free than Ariana Grande herself… no offense Ariana Grande. 😂
Always love your reactions, any chance you could react to "Shot Caller" ?
You should do the Fast And Furious movies next if you put it on your list.
Awesome

Can you watch Despicable Me.

Just watch Godzilla 98 instead
