My first trip to South Africa a month ago. 4 days of hunting and I was finally able to harvest a free range Kudu. An incredible hunt for an amazing animal. Great video. Congrats on breaking your drouth.

I live in Richmond NC so I was delighted to see another of your videos so close to my home. I watch another channel called Jack out the Back. He runs a cattle farm in Western Australia and he regularly shoots feral camels ( almost daily) as they prevent his cattle from getting to their water holes. What both of you do is different and yet similar, but very interesting.

Your videos are top quality video productions. Congratulations on the kudu you got. I smiled along with you. I know that feeling of not harvesting anything during the season. Our hunting is for whitetail deer here in Michigan, USA. Some hunters go for bears or elk, but we mostly hunt deer. 🦌

I'm a nobody when it comes to shooting... other than in boy scouts I was a small bore expert "from the nra kinda'" the I got the same in muzzle loading, I was never great with massive distances like you!!! amazing shots even with an optic I prolly miss

Piet, what round do you recommend for a Kudu Bull? was this a 6.5 Creed?
Shot placement will drop a kudu bull with a 6.5Creed no probs. My first Kudu ever was a 310m shoulder shot with a 140gr Berger VLD in my creedmoor.

It makes delicious biltong and you can cook it just like beef…..it’s good as an open fire stew 🥘

Loved watching this new video. Such great story telling. Something I feel I should ask again because you had made a comment about people wondering why you hunt these animals. I am curious for the Baboon hunting videos specifically why you refer to them as "bounty hunting". Is it something you are getting contracted to do or is it just someone you know giving you permission to hunt baboons on their property. I get its for population control purposes and to protect the crops. Just was curious why you call those video's "bounty hunting".
