@@DIYPinto Yes, its the same concept for air purifiers. The black filter is for larger dust debris and the occasional hair. It's also massively cheaper. The white HEPA one is for fine dust. Obviously in the Eufy it's not a HEPA filter, but it works the same.
Cleaning the Eufy for dummies. Nice job. I'm one of those dummies. I couldn't figure out how to replace the filter. Your video made it clear. I was trying to remove it from the wrong side. Thanks.
Yeah me too, I got the scissors out but wisely put them away again and looked up this video 👍🏻 As a stereotypical male though I'm annoyed at myself for not figuring out what is a simple solution, without having to look for help 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I too needed a demo on how to change the filter and was impatient that all the oblivious stuff was covered in detail before getting to the part that is not at all intuitive. Sigh.
You have the filters wrong. The black filter goes first and then the white HEPA filter goes next. This way your HEPA filter gets less dirtier and the black filter is washable. Otherwise, you will end up buying/replacing your white HEPA filter more often.
@@davidcoleby I'm wondering a couple things like why does my newer model only have ONE side brush? 2 seems to be better than 1, or technically it wouldn't seem, it just Scientifically WOULD BE for anyone possessing common sense. So why did they remove the other?? 2nd.. why on earth is the filter now HALF the size of what appears in the robovac g30 video AND doesn't include the black filter OR the see through filter cover located inside the housing when you open it to dump the debris in the trash. Oh and I see this model has an opening on both sides of the white filter where mine only has 1 inside when you open the dirt tray.. with nothing but the white filter which pops in and out with no protection so, as mentioned, we're forced to spend more money since cleaning the filter with mild soap and water only goes so far. I've only had my Eufy 1 month and the filter is FAR from white anymore it's actually extremely dingy even after swishing it in some dawn dish detergent and cold water then allowing it to fully dry. I can't imagine if I had carpeting and kids and a house but I have a wood floor 1 bedroom apt lol
@@mypoptarts I have to admit I haven’t looked at the newer ones yet, I am concerned at what you’ve said as it sounds like a whole lot of cost cutting. Was it a similar price to the older ones?
Thank you for posting this. I took apart my Eufy trap / filter to clean it and couldn't remember how to put it back together until I saw your video. Appreciate it!
Agree @A Katakam: You've put the filters in incorrectly. The gray foam filter should go in the compartment first followed by the white high-efficiency filter. BUT thank you so much for this video. I could not see how to access the filter compartment from the completely obscure owner's manual, but @DIY Pinto nails it with this clear demonstration.
Thanks so much for posting this just bought this & was going bananas trying to figure out where the filter went. Your video absolutely gave me lots more information that I didn't know about. Thank you again & hope you post other videos on other products as their Manuals really don't help much💯👍👏
Super helpful! Thank you! I always get confused after cleaning the filters about which order to replace them in. I’ll probably have to refer back to this next time I clean it!
well dang i ordered replacement filters they must have sent the wrong type as that white filter is encased in a plastic case it is too long to go into the slot. no way to remove the white filter unless i break it out. mine is a eufy 30. not sure what these filters go to. and no soft black sponge-like thing either.
Also you do not hold the side bristles when pulling the side brushes. Hold in the middle the blue plastic and pull just the way you put them in. Otherwise, the side bristles will come apart sooner.
To the nimrods who say that the presenter replaced the filters incorrectly - they are nuts. The way the presenter replaced the filters are exactly how the filters in my Eufy robovac came from the manufacturer. Then again, it is not that unusual that nimrods think they know more than the manufacturer. Again, thanks to the presenter and great job.
Perhaps the nimrods were the people in the assembly line. Eufy's website shows the black foam beneath the filter and the images in the manual suggest thats also, although they definitely don't make it super clear. The filter is just always above the foam in the graphics. Looks like Eufy needs to get their stuff straight. us.eufylife.com/products/t2906021
@@MikeThePike316 I'm starting to suspect after about a half dozen generous resupply orders for my 4 Eufy RoboVacs that the actual location of the black addon foam is inconsequential; in one package, I got them exactly as Amy described. In another INCLUDED (as in, with the purchase of one of my C35's), was the exact REVERSE, as the presenter showed. Not only does Eufy probably need to get their stuff straight, and order up their graphics which currently DO indicate the opposite of what yourself and Amy have described; but they need to make clear if it actually matters at all, which again, I really am thinking it doesn't. Probably comes down to particles you actually have to deal with in your home and whatever you believe will probably have better results.
"it is not that unusual that nimrods think they know more than the manufacturer" I couldn't agree with you more...if you look at the bottom of your Eufy, the diagram on the vacuum itself will show the foam goes in first before the white filter. Guess the only "nimrod" (btw, the 1990s are calling, and want their epithet back) was the part-time assembly line slacker who assembled yours incorrectly...and the one who thinks calling people "nimrods" and "nuts" is the way to make their totally incorrect point.
4:09 Why do you "flip this upside down" - to just immediately turn it right side up? Are you just trying to make it sound way more complicated than it needs to be? You spend a good part of the video turning things upside down then back over, then back upside down again, then right back over - one time (at 4:09) you state that you flip it over - do absolutely nothing but to turn it right back right-side-up?!?!?! Cool voice, but you made it much more complicated than it needs to be.
The black filter should go BELOW the white filter, so that dust hits it first.
👍
@vBDKv are you sure?
