This game is from 1990. It reminds me of Google Play's current downloadable "Pickle Pete" app game, except on crack, a drug of choice of the aforementioned times. In this game, you gotta move and shoot, a much harder skill no longer available in these current automated shooting games where you just move and the CPU shoots automatically (like Pickle Pete). Besides the "Pickle Pete" reference, I think Smash TV was also inspired by the films "Running Man" and "Robocop", also both being films from the 90's.
