I have a Mini Praxis and believe it's the best knife you can get for $30 or less. I carried it for a bit before I got the Elementum II, which is now in my carry rotation. The Mini Praxis will make a nice gift to a friend or family member.

I went through a knife obsession phase a few years back. I have a number of high-quality hunting/fishing/bushcraft knives from brands like Topp, Esee, Benchmade, etc..
Bought this knife because I just needed a new pocketknife for EDC. I can't recommend this blade enough; definitely worth every penny I paid for it. I actually just bought a second one because like a dummy I carried it in my pocket to a concert and had it confiscated (I travelled by Uber, otherwise I'd have walked it back out to the car).
Seriously, if you're looking for an inexpensive quality knife, buy this!
It's pretty solid for what it is, I must agree.
Think I'm late for the show but I just ordered the Praxis with wooden handle to go with my wooden damascus Riffle I really like Civivis couburtia wood handles . It was only 48 Euros so I couldn't resist. Am so excited.

If you like this you ll love the Riffle . To clip screws right on too so for $70 the dark green micarta one turns into one really decent looking and capable knife .

A lil late to the party though this Praxis came to me as a BladeHQ freebie throw-in with an ordered punch dagger. I'd heard of Civivi, never gave em much thought though I looked up the company, knife, etc., and was very very pleasantly surprised...

My 40yo+ collection runs from budget beaters to custom fixed, folders & autos.
Regarding D2, as former federal LE with 4 1/2+ years in deep undercover(Group I UCO for those familiar), I carried 6 fixed blade knives/punch daggers on my person, all D2 and all but one are still with me today, in the rotation. D2 was then and is even more so now, with the ensuing technological advancements in metal manufacturing, an Iconic steel and it never ever let me down. Besides, Benchmade's foundation was built and is built on D2😉
Regarding China, they make great products and they make sh!t💩🤷🏻♂️

I too don't care for flippers, and from my undercover days, regardless how deep set the clip(I only carried/carry fixed for self defense), I always did/do a pocket carry a lanyard, as I just put the custom 550 paracord lanyard on the clip as there is no hole.
I also don't care for flippers and use the thumb stud to open and it flies open along with having the ability for a fast snappy one finger close.
Al in all, this would most definitely be in my top-of the picks for a $40-50 EDC folder🤙

In reality, American companies are also Chinese. Streamlight production in China, Leatherman has 90% of employees who are Asian (that's why their QC is terrible) etc. At the end of the day, companies don't think about us little people, profit is important to them. If I can get a knife from China that is of solid quality such as Civivi or Ganzo, I will definitely buy it. The Praxis is one of those knives for sure

I just don't have the money right now times are tight and I'm having to stop anything non essential to make ends meet I will say some get ott with how much they consider a cheap knife as anything over 50 bucks is expensive for most right now so 400 on a knife is kinda a luxury good imo

@@TerriblyTactical yeah it is but I have a good one for you I was a kid in the early 2000s I had money to get my first mag fed detachable mag semi auto rifle and I went to look the options were 1200 for a ban era bushmaster or colt or 550 for a Chinese mak90 so I tried that ar15 and the charging handle bent so I went Chinese AK loved the hell out of it shot so many rounds through it the barrel rattled back and forth from being used sold it for more than I paid post sandy hook in the ass now AK some of them fall apart and also cost 1200 an entry level ar15 cost me 450 to build I never dreamed o could have that as a kid was out of reach same for a cheap Glock clone for what I paid for my first handgun at age 14 technology has changed and cost doesn't equal quality always
This knife isn’t 400 dollars. I got mine for 29 dollars flat at Walmart. Civivi is killing it right now.

when i ordered one I assumed it was some type of plastic handle cant believe how nice the G10 handles are on this for $42... puts Benchmade to shame

Everyone should go check out The TH-camr “Neeves Knives” he has the best views. Actual reviews unlike this dude. A praxis for opening boxes is an absolute joke. It’s also a bad blade shape for doing utility cuts.
