Elvis was /is simply awesome, i recall $50 ticket being the norm to see Elvis at 'Cesars Palace' in 1971/1972 when my family stopped in Vegas back in day. Mom & Korean War vet Dad couldnt justify the price, I'm thinking as a kid ...dog garnit 'Go See Him'. But going to 'Lucky Lady Casino' in downtown Vegas was my parents thing. They never did see Elvis 'live'. Too bad. A base card pack cost 9 cents & Elvis ticket $50,,,now, a card pack cost $5 nowadays and a Elvis ticket might cost $300 ticket?? . Anyways hearing 'You Ask me To' in Jeff Bridges latest film "Hell or High Water" was simply beautiful...

after Elvis s mom died in 1958 Elvis never felt the same inside he died to emotionally. but then he met Priscilla a married her he thought that she would be like his mom never leave him only through death. but it was Elvis who couldn't completely give his love a heart freely to anybody else because of his mom's love. he felt if he loved anybody else as much as he loved his mom he was betraying his mom's love in some crazy way Elvis had strange beliefs a ways that he couldn't forget or overcome another thing I believe. he believed was he wasn't really worthy to love just one woman completely because he liked to keep his image alive but the real Elvis was a like a little boy lost scared to be alone a he needed to be soothed a mother a esp hugged. a to feel comforted I don't believe it was all about sex w Elvis. I believe. he just wanted to have the attention of a warm woman beside him maybe just holding his hand or just talking a singing. Elvis missed his mom a couldn't believe she was gone so he sub women for his mom love a attention. but there was nobody could fill her shoes. or Priscilla either. he loved Priscilla but he couldn't show her how much because his life a mind was stressed w other things that at the time WETE more important like his career his boys. Elvis was Elvis he was a prisoner of his own HETIC fame a lifestyle that hardly left any time for his family. He stayed exhausted a no rest much that made him felt drained no energy. I believe. that's prob how a why he got addicted to the pills to try to forget a for the pains in his body. a for energy. But when you take drugs that much a long your body gets amine to them a you can't function without them and also they make you depressed a make you feel like nobody loves you. because drugs alcohol sex money they are all. Satan's prey. I did some research on drugs esp pain pills nerve pills. they change your personality. your body functions a they kill you. a the only way I believe. you can stop a get off them is you gotta want to stop. a also a higher power to can help you. that's Jesus Christ. I believe. that's who helped Elvis was Jesus. I BELIEVE. he cried a prayed a sincere prayer of forgiveness the night he died a God had mercy a love for him a he took him home.
Unfortunately no women including Priscilla , failed to understand the essence of Elvis , and I agree with you he just needed a real company to fill the void that her mother left . Not everything is sex and money in this life , Elvis tried to escape reality with medication, he felt very lonely and never found anyone to fill that void , the generosity of Elvis was well used by women who accompanied him and that he turned against him.
Elvis Presley didn't have a whole life after his mom died...not because of her death, but because of his instant popularity. Elvis was also an only child and that affected an awful lot of what he did and how he acted. His twin brother had died at birth...he may have felt guilt becaue of that, but basically he started the music change of those tremendous artists that have to work almost 24/7, spend hours singing the same songs over and over in appearances, clubs, places like Vegas...anything to please their fans. That tremendous demand can cause you to abuse drugs, at which point women are secondary...AND it can cause your death. RIP
