Just because Johnny got famous over a year ago does not mean that he is a 'babe" in Christ, blowing up on social media does not show your personal relationship with God. If you actually listened to his testimony, He received salvation in 2015. He stayed at his church for a year with his Pastor/ mentor, then went to a completely different country to be a missionary for a year. You don't know his story, did not even listen to his bible study in full. Everything that Johnny preaches about is from the word of God, the bible. Everything he says has a scripture. You have 2 ears and 1 mouth but still you choose to talk more than you listen. Reading the comments under your post I notice that people assume that asking for forgiveness equals repentance. You can ask for forgiveness and not have a heart of repentance. People do it all time without even realizing it. So many Christians became Christians out of fear of going to Hell, that they try to keep the Law themselves and focused on their own works than actually building a relationship with God and allowing Him to lead your life. If God is leading your life, you automatically sin less because you are focused on God and His word. Struggling to keeping the Law and failing is what is going to lead you to Jesus and open your heart to receiving true salvation through grace. But many people deceive people that they are keeping the law and asking for forgiveness. The reason why Jesus was baptized was to transfer to sins of the world on Him. That is why he had to pay the price for our sins through death. Jesus was perfect, the gruesome torture and death he went through was not for the sins of that time period but of the WORLD. including your past, present, and future sins. Asking for forgiveness is the same as saying that what Jesus went through wasn't enough to wash this sin and say he should go back on the cross once more. I will say it again ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS IS NOT TRUE REPENTANCE. There are so many scriptures and parables that shows the heart of man being evil, prideful, arrogant and the heart of God which is the opposite. Finally, we have someone that does not preach on the surface level also I want to add that Johnny was not the one that came up with these teachings, my Pastor preaches the same thing, Check out Martin Luther, DL Moody. The pastors that stand for scripture only. They have the same teaching. I'm sorry to say but this surface level preaching and preaching what you feel should be right is unfortunately sending people astray. So many Christians do not know if they are going to Heaven and in the bible clearly states that the righteous will go to Heaven. But because you want to look humble, You won't ever say you are righteous, you disregard the words of God. The word of God that never lies, that my friend is human righteousness, arrogance that you choose to believe what you feel or your thought over the word of God. There are so many scriptures about the LAW and the real reason why it was created. If people could go Heaven by the Law, God wouldn't need to send our Saviour Jesus. Everything in the bible is connected. The reason I can say these things is because I have been there before, I have failed trying to keep the Law and that was my biggest burden when I was following the generic teaching of the world . I would ask for forgiveness thinking that I am repenting, I wanted to make myself perfect before going to God in prayer. living spiritual life like that made being a Christian miserable and I gave up. I accidentally went to a dance performance event and then a pastor came and preached the true gospel for 30 mins and I received salvation. God allowed for me to go through that to break the arrogance and self-righteousness for me to hear and accept the Gospel. Since then, I have been guided by the church, my pastors, and pastors wives. This didnt happen over night, whenever my flesh arises, i tell my pastor, church sisters etc and they shift my focus back to the word of God.

You do realize that being a certian age in the spirit isn't so much determine by how long you've been saved, but if that your actually growing. lm praying for him for sure. He just needs real guidance and be true that he might've been wrong on his teaching. All of us have been there in some way.

@ how are you going to come to a conclusion on what you think about me and talking about me being being attached to him💀 if you haven’t even read my comment. Is that making any sense to you. The unknown arrogance and wanting to diagnose people who have different beliefs than you do is crazy. You cannot change the truth no matter what you think or feel. I am a born again Christian and knew of this before I knew who Johnny Chang was. You come on here and make up things based on what you feel. Not everything that goes on in your head, you should believe. Also I didn’t take offense because your thoughts and opinion aren’t facts. You believe that God in this day and age talks to you in dreams and based on scripture some people don’t in this current time. The latter being me, because you believe what I don’t I can also say you need discipleship as well and need guidance. Anyways you will know them by their fruits. If your way is the truth you don’t need to come on the internet and diagnose people from what you think or feel. If what you believe is the truth pray for people to come to know the truth and move on. Drop a scripture and go. I don’t want to hear your thoughts or opinions, if you’re not coming with scripture. Then forget it, as your comment will serve no purpose.

I thought people realized that way before now! I have always thought that especially the last few years. It's like people either use it as a grift to make money and or restore their image or reputation. Or they genuinely really have the right intentions and heart for it, but lack the understanding that they need to grow and mature in faith and knowledge of the scriptures well 1st. It's ok to share testimonies and experiences that can describe the lord working in someone's life and goodness. But trying to teach and preach Is NOT for everyone but those truly called by God to do so and to even begin you must have the holy spirit and anointing to.

I truly believe that you should seek the Lord in prayer and reach out to Johnny directly instead of first deciding to make videos about him. The Bible says that we should go to the person yourself, and then to bring a few witnesses and then involve the church. Blasting anyone on social media instead of going to them isn’t showcasing the love of God or his order. I’m not saying he’s right or wrong, I’m saying I don’t believe this is the way God wants his believers to behave.

This is the wrong way to go about this man. Your heart is not in the right place and God can see that. Regardless of who is right or wrong acknowledging it in this way is wrong. As fellow Christians before there is an assumption made there should be as collaborations. When 2 or 3 of us are together our prayers are heard. As a true Christian your mission is to bring people closer to God not confuse them. Imagine people new in there faith trying to find a strong leader to guide them and they see your video putting a minister down? That will turn people away not drive them towards Jesus. Seeing the lack of empathy, compassion and respect between Christians is not what Jesus wants. If this guy is your enemy which clearly it sounds like he is God calls you to love him deeply so why don’t you call him? Collaborate and support eachother and find out where you guys can come together to bring more people to Christ. This is a shame that people who claim to be followers of Christ ultimately confuse and turn the minds of new believers. You’re making a mistake. At least Johnny hasn’t made any dis videos.

Throwing my two cents in here. I found that Johnny has actually led me to a lot of confusion. I do want to preface this by saying I believe he is a follower of Christ, and he loves the Lord. I found what he has said to be against David asking for forgiveness in the Psalms (I can't remember the exact verse, so please forgive me), and Jesus saying "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." Alongside a couple other places. Not only that, but when I decided to follow what Johnny said I felt very convicted within my prayer, and was confused. That's my personal story though

I honestly think this video is prime example of what’s wrong with the Christian community(and I like your channel btw).
I don’t think Johnny is saying to continually walk in the dark I think he’s saying is: when you focus on your relationship with God and you repent by coming into agreement with what God sees as good/bad (not by your own works aka turning from sin), you will naturally, automatically, start sinning less because you are growing closer to God. I honestly think you guys actually sat down and talked to each other you wouldn’t disagree with each other. I think you’re disagreeing with something he doesn’t even believe. I could be wrong but we need to stop being so quick to be hyper critical of fellow believers and start building up the body of Christ to sharpen each other. You haven’t even talked to this dude, why do you feel qualified to critique his position when it sounds like you’re not even interpreting his point correctly? (in my opinion)

Thank you for pointing this out. Johnny is not wrong with that word meaning “homologeo.” I agree with you. It seems like Johnny is emphasizing the believers position in Christ, and having that position determine your behavior, not your behavior determining your position. I agree with you. We should be discussing things in charity, in the love of Christ. Unfortunately, I think this is a meat teaching, and many who still want the milk of the law are going to have a tough time with it. It reminds me of Ishmael (born of the bond woman), persecuting Isaac (born of the promise through Sarah).

Marcus you also took this video completely out of context because at the very end of the video he says”and this is how we’re forgiven” the point of his video was to show people is that we’re not forgiven for our past present future sins by just simply confessing or saying I’m sorry what he saying is that when we truly confess that we are sinners by nature that we are messed up and that we need Christ as our personal sin bearer the moment we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are forgiven of all sin past present and future. This does not mean that we should not repent when we fall short, but this means is that we no longer have to continuously repent over and over and over to be righteous or justified in God’s eyes because we were justified and made righteous when we came by faith.

I try so many times to see when Marcus and so many others are actually gonna grow spiritually and begin to understand God's Word on a much deeper level but it just doesn't seem to be happening. All this surface level theology debate and understanding is what is robbing so many Christians of a true in depth relationship with Jesus. I don't even have to watch the whole clip of what Johnny is talking about and I understood it completely as is if the Holy Spirit was teaching Himself. If you truly think what Johnny was saying led you to the conclusion that he is saying its ok to continue to sin and live in darkness then I already know your level of spiritual understanding. Let me help by the grace of the Holy Spirit. Johnny is speaking on the same conclusion our brother in Christ the Apostle Paul came to when he said for it is no longer I who do it but the sin that dwells within me. (Romans 7:17) Please body of Christ reread Romans 7 and ask the Holy Spirit to truly open your eyes to what the Apostle Paul is truly saying here. What Johnny is saying is acknowledging your sinful nature within your heart is what gets you in right standing with God and at that moment you have given your heart to Jesus. At that point now you have a pliable heart God can work with and as long as you remain in Him you begin to sin less and less. God knowing that your flesh is weak that when you do stumble, Grace abounds more and all He sees is the finished work Jesus did on the cross for all our sins past, present, and future. The second part is what he is saying is dangerous is that if you just believe in the works of confession but don't have true repentance (acknowledgement), then you get caught up in a cycle of sin confession sin confession leading you to believe you can handle sin on your own just cause you confess it. Therefore you keep pushing the boundaries because you think confession is covering you. All the while digging yourself deeper and deeper into sin not realizing that Jesus is the only way to get out. PLEASE Body of Christ, STOP this surface level banter and dig deeper into your spiritual growth with God. We are going to need it as we get closer to Jesus coming back to renew. It's closer than you think... Lord Jesus I pray that you open your peoples eyes and hearts to true revelation and spiritual understanding of You as we draw closer to You... Amen

      Romans 6:1 ESV
[1] What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it.
Grace is abounding to those who have a harth of repentance. He/she who sins and falls into the sin, needs to confess/repent from their sin everytime when they sin, simple as that. When you sin then is god automatically going to remove that sin without you confessing/repenting on it? No....1 john 1:9 tells us that "if" we confess he is faithfull to forgive our sin's and he says over there "if" so the choise is ours....let's look into the context of that 1 john 1....the first chapter is about not living in a sin at all and the whole letter has been sent to chiristins and not to the unbealivers. 1 john 2:1 tells us bealivers that if we sin then we will have our advocate wich is chirist with his faithfullness on forgivness, but after the forgivness of his then we will have his blood covering us from a wrath and judgment of god (1 john 1:9). Like for example when peter committed a sin by denying the lord ("if you deny me before men i will deny you before father" so this means that when we sin that protection wich is his blood will be removed and also it means that he will not defend us)peter repented from it immediately....if peter would have used johny chang understament then he would have said that "well i conffessed/repented once already so i don't have to confess/repent anymore, cuz i'm already saved and grace abounds even more when i sin (your undesranding)

That is exactly what the GOSPEL OF GRACE is. The Apostle Paul is preaching in the new testament.
He is preaching the Gospel of Grace and a few people or Christians know about this, because they are still bound to the "law" - which can not make us holy because nobody can keep the law, if you break one law, then you are guilty of all, the very reason why grace came in the person of JESUS CHRIST.

We can sin and don't even know it..The Bible says if you do something not in faith it is sin... I used to see myself as so dirty in the eyes of God. Knowing that I was forgiven once and for all past, present, and future sin destroyed the grip sin had on me. I am free from sin not free to sin!

If a believer suddenly dies right as they are in the middle of stealing a paper clip from the pastors office… is that person going to heaven or are they going to hell?
    1. If you say heaven then you believe in “once for all forgiveness” for those who are in Christ.
    2. If you say hell then you don’t believe in God’s grace and love to cover a multitude of sins and you are 100% “dependent on your ability” to confess for every sin you ever commit. Under this system I hope you don’t forget one sin and just saying “forgive me for anything I may have done against you” doesn’t work as that isn’t true repentance of your sin.
    3. If you don’t know if you are going to heaven or hell then it’s sad that you are so confused about God’s love and mercy for His children…

[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, And in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Yes repenting has to be constant. Not a 1 time thing. It would be like saying once we repent, we will never sin again. And of course we know that is not true. We will sin until the day we die, hence repentance needs to be happening until the day we die, die down here that is. God bless you

Gods audible voice is the most calming and beautiful thing I have ever heard and he doesn’t even believe in it so much so that he mocks it. That’s right you don’t know so I will tell you”. He was very condescending towards others and has a “I am never wrong” attitude. The people who challenged him and called him out for being rude even got the response of “some of yall better be glad I’m saved now”. That’s not a humble heart after God. That’s arrogance and pride. The writer was saying, after you have received the truth about CHRIST, to return back to the ways of the Pharisees, there can be no remission for your sin. Did the crucifixion of CHRIST not cover sins past present and future? And you say that you can walk out of CHRIST hand, but no one can pluck you out... Aren't you included in "no one", are you not somebody? Exactly! If you are saved, you produce fruit, but you can be saved and walk in darkness, but what happened to all those people in the Bible who did so? they died, but their soul went to Heaven! We need God‘s power. We cannot change ourselves. We would fight a losing battle so leaning looking to God along with our will we will be successful with not seeing that sin or practicing that sin anymore. Mind you, me doing whatever I want doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences here on earth and there will be treasures in heaven I won’t inherit but I will never go to hell because of the grace of God and He doesn’t take back what He gives you. On a side note, If y’all really do come into an agreement with Johnny’s teaching on this matter, why aren’t y’all going to your own pastor or your own leadership in the church and asking questions on whether that specific teaching is right instead of just believing what sounds good to your ear. Perhaps it effects what happens in heaven somehow... idk, but I am among those who say we can't lose our salvation because God knew our hearts when we accepted Jesus as Lord. Saying you can loose your salvation is like saying you gained it by your own strength that why it’s called GRACE( undeserved kindness). If we could loose our salvation there would be no point in Jesus dying on the cross. 1st John 4:4- “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won the victory over those people, because the spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world”….
