Nice to see someone finally give this game a review on YT. Yeah, I was looking forward to this game but I think its a wait 6-12 months and see where it's at thing for me. Shame they rushed it out instead of finishing it properly.....
You probably dont care but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Cayson Fletcher thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The point of no aircraft launching during battle was IRL the carrier deck crew would be abandoning ship because Carriers were not ment to fight in close.
IRL IJN didn't attempt launching aircraft during the air raid or if they are caught in surface engagements BUT they did recover and rearm CAP zeroes when they could the reason for this is that the carrier was meant to do evasive actions and it would be difficult to do evasive actions and sail into the wind for best launching success
Darn, hopefully they improve some aspects in time, will definitely be keeping an eye on this, I loved Battlestations Midway/Pacific, but Pacific removed a lot of limitations, making it one long grind after a time, at least the ai was decent.
I'm having lots of fun with War on the Sea, and with manual firing Torpedoes, THERE IS an option for that. And the full capital words are just there for emphasizing purposes, for clarification purposes. So yeah, I definitely recommend it.
Sounds like I should just wait for Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts. UA Age of Sail has been fun so far. It has a great wind system, ship leveling, tech research, decent land and landing / port battles and officer assignment with their own stat system that affects different ship characteristics.
Didn't even know this existed until recently but its a squeal to pacific storm on of my all time favorite strategy games. Good to see the devs sticking to their roots! Haven't had the time to fully dig into this game but so far really liking what they did especially the better music the old games biggest weakness..
Totally agree with what he says but I would also like to add that you don't have the option to auto resolve some battles which is annoying. Air battles consist of planes circling each other at the same altitude with no diving or climbing, real boring. It also play like Wargame Red Dragon Tactical mode where you have a small amount of requisition points, 200pts, which if you lose means you have nothing to do except watch the game slowly roll by with the only units at hand being aircraft or the one ship you can afford. The resources need to flow more so losing a battle isn't crippling to the fun. Maybe have more base building so that you are entertained whilst waiting for more ships. Also my understanding the only way to get requisition points for ships is to win battles? Early days though this is only after 1 day of playing.
@@mouth7137 very fun game still in early access but for me it was worth every penny the fights are a bit longer but the fact you get to design your own ships is amazing
Having played Pacific Storm and its Allies expansion pack for over 200 hours on Steam, I've been considering getting War On The Sea. But I'm waiting until the price goes down.
I dont know why no company, and or programers havent taken this idea and mixed it with WOWS style ship combat, and WT dogfighting. Battlestations Pacific is upgrading theres for new scenereo's and got ahold of the WT/WOWS modelers to put those game models in the game, I wish these guys could get that. Hell they could pay me peanuts. Like 2 k a month and I would model for them. My 3d Models rival WT/WOWS. I might have to buy this and ride out the bugs with them.
I wouldn't say so no. As once you complete the game I'm not sure where the reply would come in. As you might try and win quicker maybe, or take less losses or whatever but nothing that would make me want to do it again.
Do you feel (1) strategy don't make big difference in WotS? (2) interface hard to use? hard to give commands to other ships and airplanes (3) Do you feel AI of cold waters is harder to beat compare to AI of War on the Sea? (4) after u deploy ships on the map then u just watch WotS to play by itself? (5) Can u recommend me a more realistic modern naval strategy games? Ships shooting each other a lot in WotS like tanks but starts in the mid period of WW2, the aircraft is the center of modern naval war and I don't feel that in WotS. I feel spending most of time shooting ships like shooting tanks then I can go play world of tanks or world of warships which have better visuals.
All your questions are yes. However realistic and modern seems to be lacking. Ultimate admiral draughtnaughts is one coming out next year which looks like it could be better than this but there are very few games in this area which is why I get disappointed in games like this
I would call $60 US dollars as normal price for any game. Anything less than that is a bargain....you went on for the 1st 5 minutes about the "high" price. Lol
@@the15minutegamer hey, why there is no IOWA battleship in custom battle... but when I saw the files, there is iowa battleship file...why i cant use it on custom battle??
I call BS. Most early releases are cash grabs. They never finish. Just from your response about this game, it’s obvious your a paid TH-cam promoter and your comments are completely invalid.
Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching. Oh also I paid for this game myself and nobody has ever paid me to do a video. I wish they would then I wouldn't have to be up at 7am to go to work on a wet and miserable Monday.
Well these are the same devs who did Atlantic Fleet and compare it with War on the Sea its a massive step forward in WWII naval simulation games.

I hope they make a sequel to Cold Waters that is more like U-Boat, but for modern subs

Question about the game. Are there any light carriers such as the Independence class for the US or the Zuiho for Japan?

Yeah I wish I had just waited for dreadnoughts it looks pretty good! Just waiting to see what the campaign is like
Well, Atlantic Fleet is turn-based, and the ships there looked better. I doubt if all ships in the Pacific lacked camo paint.

Interesting. A lot of the things you see as negatives are actually great in my opinion. The micro, the ui, ships not having ex mechanics.
Looks like a pain in the ass with all the micro-management and not worth the price to me. I appreciate the review! Thumbs up from me.
If you don't like managment, I advise you World of warship, with better graphics and less managment ;-)

There’s a lot of placeholders for future Theaters like Atlantic, Med, Indian etc, I’m sure there’s more coming
Just a pity that the game isn't more comprehensive, like with ground troops etc
