Beautiful! If your still in the area, or ever back there, check out “Land Between the Lakes”. It’s a huge park shared between Kentucky and Tennessee. Two monster lakes, great scenery, hundreds of miles of tree covered roads paved and gravel and tons of camping everywhere. I just visited there again this week from my home in Missouri.
That area you were traveling through on 194 was hit really hard by the flooding we had in KY. Not sure of your exact time passing through, but it’s possible that’s why you were seeing so much dirt and gravel on the road. It’s a beautiful area that is still trying to recover from the damage.
So inspiring - Love it when you 'do not know where you are heading'! Great road and beautiful scenery - will add it to the list. Keep up the good work Tim!
Was that a covered wagon at the first campground? Yes, it was. You should have stayed in one of them. How cool would that be? Kentucky looks beautiful. Love those roads, much better than driving on Long Island. Wish I was out on the road with you.
Tim; your style inspires me. Just pack up and go and see where the road takes you. I’m hoping to ride out to Nova Scotia this summer from Minneapolis. I plan to ride around Lake Superior on my way out there. Keep up with the great content! - Matt
Another very pretty area, you really have got this trip right Tim. Having the roads to yourself is always sweet. I did a 150 mile loop yesterday from home back to home and intended to ride along the Somerset / Devon coast, but with the summer visitors mostly gone there are now a lot of road works about. I was sent on the most amazing detour all over Exmoor National Park on roads I have meant to ride for a while but not yet got around to. I think I only did one or two overtakes all day and hardly saw any other traffic... now that is what I call a detour.
Watching from the Boeing 736 factory floor....well from a chair with my feet up watching youtube on the factory floor. Its what i do, i do it well. But still wish i was sitting in the saddle of my DRZ400 out on some remote spot on a BDR. Keep on keeping on. Come back to the PNW one of these days.
Love hangin' out with you [virtually] on your travels. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Also, keep that zombie spray close by when camping.... just in case
Tim my man! You crack me up. Won't camp in certain spots due to bears. What about the zombies! Another chill ride to "wherever" you end up next. I love it. Nice mellow music too. Until next time bruddah.
*_What an incredible ride. Thanks for taking us along. I've never really even put Kentucky on my list of places to ride. Well, now I'm on page 101! LOL_*
Love the way your content is laid back. In no rush. The campground for $10 is a great find. The KLR is an awesome machine that will take you on many adventures. I really like mine. Just got back last week from the MABDR. Safe travels!
Great roads and scenery, I miss that part of the States. Thanks for the heads up on the show. I've seen the thumbnail but hadn't checked out what it was about.
Hey Tim! I noticed your hands shaking a lot during the video. Do you have a diagnosis for that? If not, you may want to see a Dr... unless, of course, you just had too much caffeine. Be safe!
Hello Tim, great content I see you have a zip tie on your '22 KLR I've seen a lot of KLR'S with zip ties over the years. I use them on my '06 Gen.1 to this day.
If you are heading west here in Kentucky check out Hoosier National Forest. It's on hwy 37 in southern Indiana. Tipsaw Lake and then there is also Celina Lake right down the road from there. They are very nice places to camp.
I’m a new subscriber and I really enjoy your videos! Please keep them coming! By the way, you’re the reason I’m about to buy a new KLR650; I’m trading in my Honda CB1100…I need to get off road again! Take care!
Dig your vibe and channel. Just starting the video and stoked to see it as I head out in 2 days for a Fall cool weather 2K trip camping off 20 V-Strom 650 ADV in high mountains looking for a new home.
Hi Tim. It’s a while since I’ve watched your channel. You used to ride a Beemer but now I see you’re on a KLR. What happened? Was it a conscious decision about weight or something like that or you just felt like a change? I apologise if you’ve already explained all this elsewhere. Anyway I enjoy your channel. Being in Australia I like following you around the States. I’ll get there with my bike one day. Safe travels. 👍😎🏍
Hey Tim I apologize if you have been asked this before. Do you plan your trips differently with the KLR vs when you had the GS? My guess is you avoid interstates more now. Not that the KLR can’t do them it’s just not near as comfortable
hi Tim, just curious if your klr is consuming much oil? reviews say they may have a tendancy to use up some oil at highway speeds. enjoying your channel!
That's a pretty area, I was over there 3 or 4 years ago on a bike trip. Hopefully you checked out the Nada Tunnel and the sky bridge. The sky bridge is ok but the tunnel is pretty unique! Here's a quick video of the tunnel if you missed it! th-cam.com/video/_UnhGFhf4rw/w-d-xo.html
Enjoyed the video Tim . Yep Temps are still warm in the South should be getting by the end of September. Hope the KLR is working out for you. The coffee pack sounds good. Ride safe! PS. What's your air mattress? It's the only one I've seen that looks big enough I could stay on
How is your phone holding up on the bar at the windshield? Mine shakes so bad that I was scared to mount mine to it. I put mine on the handle bar because of the lower vibration
I really like it, been using it for over a year. I have a few reviews on the channel about the tent. I am thinking of swapping it out for something lighter soon though.
Since you didn't mention anything about where (actually naming the towns, and sites) you were traveling through I went from having an interest to having 0 interest..
Tim, not such a good idea to use a wide angle lens when you talk to the camera. we know what you look like and the wide angle lens distorts your features too much.

I might find myself in that area in a few weeks. The "Land Between the Lakes" wasn't even on my radar! Thanks for that.
Kentucky is beautiful! Thank you for the video
Wet grass. Loose gravel. And crazy woman. Have fun Tim.
Thanks Tim great vidio love all those back roads and camp grounds.😊😊
dude! Black Summer is some depressing dark shit to be watching out in the woods solo! LOL
Haha yeah you’re probably right
I like winging it...
Wow 10 bucks that's incredible.
We are having a Rally in March / Palmetto ADV Rally March 16-19th 2023 in Charleston SC love to have you attend and also just ordered your cookbook!

They need espresso beans in that tea bag set up.
Beautiful area. Thanks for posting. Be safe. Chin up and wheels down.
Beautiful... Thank you Tim

Hey as always I enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing them
Beautiful state, awesome bike! Thank you for sharing this video!

Had to rewind, thought you said KY Rt 192, which is called "The Rattlesnake." Another beautifully canopied twisty road.
Safe travels my friend.
Thank you! I’ll have to check that out next time

Sounds like an awesome day!
Thanks for sharing this great ride and awesome video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Will definitely be returning to the pnw soon
Thank you Tim for showing us yet another beautiful place to stay. Enjoy your trip and safe rides.
You bet
....not really sure where I'm heading.
NICE!
Awesome, you've inspired me to head out for a ride tomorrow. Thanks for sharing Tim.
Great video ride safe
Love hangin' out with you [virtually] on your travels. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Also, keep that zombie spray close by when camping.... just in case
I’ve added Hwy 194 in Kentucky to my “if I’m in that area” list. Thanks for bringing us along.
Sounds great!
This is my kind of trip, not using major roads and quiet camping brilliant.
Tim my man! You crack me up. Won't camp in certain spots due to bears. What about the zombies! Another chill ride to "wherever" you end up next. I love it. Nice mellow music too. Until next time bruddah.
Thanks! Ride safe
I love exploring new places. Even if it is on youtube. Thanks for your content. Your videos are fun and interesting.Greetings from Connecticut. Peace.
Thanks Eric
Gotta love the house cleaning at the 30 second mark🇦🇺😂🤠
Good weather, great road, cheap campsite, I love days like that! Now if we just had free global wifi...
Looking at the map of that area, I don't think KY has a straight road. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
*_What an incredible ride. Thanks for taking us along. I've never really even put Kentucky on my list of places to ride. Well, now I'm on page 101! LOL_*

Add KY Rt 192, "The Rattlesnake."

I live in S.C. one of my favorite places to ride, at least 3x a year.
Great roads and scenery, I miss that part of the States.
Thanks for the heads up on the show. I've seen the thumbnail but hadn't checked out what it was about.
I’m digging your KLR dude. I have fun with mine.
Beautiful locations and roads mate, lovely camp sites.
To find those places!!! Awesome! I've been following you for a min. Hope you good! LRB
Now you are in my neck of the woods. I live in Cincinnati!
Dude Black Summer is sick…1st season is amazing, 2nd season is cool, hoping 3rd season makes up for 2nd season 😅…love the characters
Another good video! Perhaps you would consider updating your "WHO IS TIM COLLINS" paragraph to include your new KLR? Keep up the good work!
Hey Tim! I noticed your hands shaking a lot during the video. Do you have a diagnosis for that? If not, you may want to see a Dr... unless, of course, you just had too much caffeine. Be safe!
Not health related, it's just nerves. Thanks for the concern, I appreciate it.
I just bought the same bike. Can you go over what luggage racks and how you attach the bags?
1883 is a good mini series too, if u can get it
How are you liking the new bike pro and con.
BTW I appreciate the reports on the items such as the coffee
Hello Tim, great content I see you have a zip tie on your '22 KLR I've seen a lot of KLR'S with zip ties over the years. I use them on my '06 Gen.1 to this day.

@@FTAAdventures Yeah I need to check my dates a little more closer.

Welcome to the channel! Good luck with the new bike
Great video Tim! Thanks for taking us along with you. Are you still liking your Lone Rider ATV tent and how is it in the rain?
Go to Land between the Lakes KY, that area is amazing.
Dig your vibe and channel. Just starting the video and stoked to see it as I head out in 2 days for a Fall cool weather 2K trip camping off 20 V-Strom 650 ADV in high mountains looking for a new home.

I just wanted to try something different. I had some mechanical issues with the beemer
Hey Tim I apologize if you have been asked this before. Do you plan your trips differently with the KLR vs when you had the GS? My guess is you avoid interstates more now. Not that the KLR can’t do them it’s just not near as comfortable
That’s the only thing that has changed is avoiding the highways
Thank you ! . you must miss the gs . hey . ?
I miss the power of the BMW but I'm enjoying the KLR too.
nice riding! do you miss the bmw ?
I miss the power of the bmw
I hope you go through Rabbit Hash Kentucky 😊
Missed that one I’ll have to check it out on the next one
Your title page is missing the "T" in Kentucky. Just fyi
You gotta do the Dragon N.C./TN if you haven't done so.
I love that area, been there a few times
I enjoy your videos Tim, how are you enjoying the KLR?
Nice Tim. How is the KLR doing?
hi Tim, just curious if your klr is consuming much oil? reviews say they may have a tendancy to use up some oil at highway speeds. enjoying your channel!
My 2012 did from new. Got rid of it asap.
Sad....I really wanted to like the bike.
I haven’t had any issues with that so far, maybe they fixed it with the new generation
Great Video! WIth the KLR, have you thought about switching out your tent for an ultra-light version? I know you liked the big agnes copper spur.
I am planning on changing the tent out soon. Probably to the copper spur.
@@FTAAdventures I want that one too. It's just the $$$ that's holding me back :)
Just curious…why don’t you mention the names of the towns you are in?
have always liked your videos, but i would love to know what camera system are you using? go pros are just way to dear so looking for another option
Very nice area to ride! BTW do you still ride the BMW GS ?

Tim, what app are you using to find camping 🏕 now?
I usually just use Google maps to find campsites.
Those Forma Adv Low boots working well for you? Just purchased a pair.
Yep, love mine and they hold up well
Have you broken any of those tent stakes? Maybe I got a bad batch
I haven't broken any yet. Maybe you're hammering them in a little too hard?
Thanks Tim, I have missed a few of your vids, what happened to the GS? I ride KTM 790 & a V85TT so no affiliation just curious!
Had some major mechanical issues and after I got it all fixed I decided to trade it in for something newer.
How is the kl 650 . ? At 120 km
How is your phone holding up on the bar at the windshield? Mine shakes so bad that I was scared to mount mine to it. I put mine on the handle bar because of the lower vibration
It’s holding up ok but you’re probably right to put it on the handlebars
Tim, what app are you using for your routing? I’m trying to avoid buying a GPS.
I use google maps for navigating
Whats your honest view of the Lone rider tent ?
Im looking for a new tent. And this one is a contender. But is it really any good?
Cheers
I really like it, been using it for over a year. I have a few reviews on the channel about the tent. I am thinking of swapping it out for something lighter soon though.
@@FTAAdventures Thanks. size and weight is important. It does look big.
What happened to the Beemer GS?
Beamer shit the driveshaft and everything connected to it.
Tim wore it out 😂
Like BMW cars BMW motorcycles are over-priced, over-rated and weak on dependability...but nice while they work.
Did you see Itchy Boots ?
Didn’t see her
Since you didn't mention anything about where (actually naming the towns, and sites) you were traveling through I went from having an interest to having 0 interest..
