Ah, thank you Lorelei!! That makes sense! I like Adventurine more than I anticipated I would! I hadn't found a pen I really enjoyed it in, but it seems to fit the Estie well!
I don't know anything about fountain pens but we're body doubling while I get some work done... well that was my plan but you made this so interesting that I'm fighting going down a rabbit hole about this. Theses are so beautiful! and IDK what we were thinking watching unsolved mysteries or Forensic Files lol
Thank you, that means a lot! It's definitely a rabbit hole, but well worth it, in my opinion. Not just for the sustainability, but it's fun to find the perfect pen for you! I love learning more about the hobby! Please message me on IG if you ever decide to delve and I'm more than happy to help you on your journey!
Yes, the Platinum Kanazawa Maki-e pens have a softer springy 18k gold nib. The Century 3776s are 14k gold nibs, so they write much stiffer. I believe the fins of the feed for the Kanazawa pens are just covered up by a flat plastic part. I really like my Kanazawa in Momiji (Autumn Leaves)! Now we both have one! ^_^ Love your dusty pinks for April! ♥
Thank you!! I didn't know that (or maybe I forgot)! There's definitely a difference in the firmness between them! And that's so interesting about the feed fins! I was confused when I saw it because it almost looked like a calligraphy feed! And I LOVE your Momiji Kanazawa!! We love our dusty pinks here!!
@@adhdoneplans Hell yeah!! :D The 750 is 75% gold. 14k gold nibs come with the 585 number (for 58.5% gold content), 18k is 750, and 21k gold is 875 (87.5%). Now you're fully equipped with gold content numbers on the nibs! Also, warning - the kanazawa pens grip section has that black band at the very tip. That black band can wear off from dipping into inks over time depending on the strength of the chemicals in the ink. I suggest inking up your Kanazawa pen through syringe if you want to preserve that black band - mine peeled off! XD
@@KenchanKrafts This is so helpful!! Thank you!! Fascinating that the numbers correspond to the percentage of gold in the nib! And I'll be super careful filling it, I promise!!
They're stamps from Everyday Explorers! I used an archive-type pigment ink. These are the stamps: everydayexplorers.co/products/pre-order-currently-inked-3x4-clear-stamp-set
750 means it's 18kt gold. Nice lineup!! Aventurine is so gorgeous!!

Dipping my feet into fountain pens. Want to get a few some inks and pens. Want to start doing some videos on here about my journey
New subscriber here and so glad I found your channel! Love your pen and ink pairings for this month. Take care and have a wonderful weekend 😊
Thank you! You too!
I also used Adventurine this month! I added a small amount of white lightening and goodness did it make a difference!
Yay! And I did too; just the SMALLEST amount goes a long way! it makes all the difference, I agree!
YAY!!! A new video from Kim!!
Yayyyyyy!! I made one! :D
750 relates to the gold contend. 750 is 75% for he for 19k.
did you use stamps for the ink bottle and nib? or is it a custom journal?
They're stamps from Everyday Explorers! I used an archive-type pigment ink. These are the stamps:
