I joined the hype train when ep 40 came out and man am I glad I stuck with Black Clover for 2 years. It was one helluva ride for sure. I like how this episode is called “the faraway future” or “haruka mirai”, I know Black Clover will come back one day, somewhere in the faraway future
I think they are waiting for more source material, they went ham on the last arc or two, with so little amount of filler that they caught up, something they haven't been able to do for 2 years

Even in his devil forms there’s no big laser blasts that take out land masses or big bombs or summoning or nothing. Just make sword bigger, slash, steal magic and slash. Nice and simple.

No not really Anti-Magic was the sole reason why he can fight magic knights maybe some magic knights would be beaten but it only goes so far he is just as strong when Zoro before he learned cutting steel. He can't cut steel without anti magic
What i find incredibly interesting is the idea that Asta is facing his fears in the form of a devil and everything that he thinks he cant be without it but he doesnt shy away he persists knowing that hes gone through even worse and these fears have been the whetstone of it all. Thats why i find it even more inspiring to see him befriend that personified fear and use it as his power to go forward with and become even better. It reminds me how mushashi miyamoto managed to turn his anxiety and fear into his greatest strengths and allies.

What if Asta's magic is just used to enhance his physical abilities constantly? The anti magic is making him do it the hard way now, but the magic he does build is absorbed into his body, making it not be negated by his anti magic(because it's already assimilated and not magic anymore). Like his mother's ability with non-magical objects, his is with his non magical body

Ricita is maybe one of the saddest character in anime IMHO : the woman abandoned her beloved child because she was afraid her mana-draining ability would kill him if he stayed with her... without realizing that Asta was born Mana-less, therefore safe from those same abilities.
