Giovanni is one , if not the most talented musician I have ever met... I respect him more than I could express... He showed me why and how and because... respect is so important in this world... in this Universe ! This Podcast is a blessing, not only for musicians but for all of us, humans from all walks of life ! I'm sure of his place in history ! Ours... Boricuas' But... also in the history of the planet's musical creation... Giovanni has a place which is only his... unique... Thanks for what you do !

It is an immense pleasureto see both of you there sharing your thoughts! first of all Reinhard I have read on of your "TAKETINA" book in the late 80's when I lived in Germany, your Koeran experience healing and mistik touched me, the Taketina approach helped me a lot to understand my body to heal myself, to understand Rhythm, to understand the whole world in fact!!! Thank you for that, thank you so much. then I remember reading it sitting in my caoch and listening to Giovanni's fantastic druming at the same time, back in time!!! Today I discovered your Channel and I found you both in my LIVING ROOM!!!! it is really amazing! Thank you sooo much for making this happen, thanks I had a great time, and I recomanded yourchannel to some friends of mine!

This man is beyond, still... I'll never forget the intimate dinner in my dear friend Martin Cohen's house in 1994 where Giovanni played one conga only while singing for like half an hour or so. A few of NY's best (percussionists) just stood there silent, and me too. It was as if we were in church...

I would love to produce the Giovanni Hidalgo Music festival... once a year in Old San Juan... have thousands of people come in and help the economy.. and then do it in New York... during the fall season... Let's do it. !!!
