This still works in 1.21 but make sure to use dirt instead of sand and use a Minecraft with a hopper under the sugar cane connected to the main chest so you don’t waste any
RECOMMENDATION: put a hopper in minecraft under the grass block(where the sugar can is) and and connect it to your chest and also remove the glass panes so it collects all of the sugarcane OPTINAL: you can put glass BLOCKS if you want
Excellent build! You should update the tools required to be 3 chests instead of 2 since you're using a double chest to collect, and a single chest to load bonemeal.
Confused me aswell. I can easily see that he meant 2 sets of chests… the first chest could very easily be a single chest if your not high on bone meal 👌🏻

Thank you for this comment. I was curious if that was the case because I'm designing one now but it's a layer taller than theirs. I have the cane on mud with a hopper under to collect the roughly 25% that lands there.i guess if you count the support block for their redstone dust the build is technically 6 blocks tall. Does any land where the repeater is? This was a concern also.
if i remember correctly mud blocks result in 100% pickup but havent really tried it yet, maybt the hopper could be placed below the sugarcane if youre using mud?
My pieces where getting stuck so I used a mud block and glass blocks instead of pains. I Put the hopper under the mud block connecting to the chest and none will get stuck. Great Build!

I just take all those bones, turn them into bonemeal, and shove them in this sugar cane farm, plus I made a second one right next to it for bamboo too. You just saved me so much time and resources. Cheap tip to collect any sugarcane that didnt fall into the hopper: Instead of closing the farm with glass panes or glass blocks, use fence gates. Then every 3 or 4 minutes (less than 5 mins), open the gates and collect any wasted sugarcane and put it into the sugarcane double chest. A minecart with hopper under the farm with rails is more efficient than this but requires quite a lot of iron.
This farm has worked floorlessly since it came out, however it recently stopped working in my world, don’t know why? But i’m glad i got a double chest full before it broke. i haven’t touched anhtning at all, it’s just the leaver doesn’t seem to activate the redstone clock. if anyone has any suggestions lmk.
Had you tried actual rebuilding the clock (redstone part), normally for bedrock it does stop randomly. I highly recommend to just rebuild it just to fix it.
I made this in combo with my bonemeal farm, so the bonemeal chest feeds directly into the chest for this one! It's working amazing, sadly bonemeal farms can be a bit slow so sometimes this one has to take a break because it eats all the bonemeal very fast lol

Who cares it’s Minecraft, no one has these builds patented so no one can get into any legal trouble, everyone uses these builds because they work and it’s not the same design, so shut up and sit down
@@az1202 like i said no legal patent no case , so it’s not stealing, it’s the same basic design all the sugar canes farm are built on, just smaller scale. I Can tell you’re like 12 years old from these comments alone.

And it's not just this, the majority of his videos lie about rates and use stolen designs.

oinkoink I love your videos, but make sure you put the right amount of items for the farm bc the description of this video says you need 2 chest even tho you have to put 3 chests
After I built it I found out that it doesn't push the sugarcane end of the glass Andy gets caught on the repeater so you lose some there adding a hopper minecart into the build redesigning the placement of the repeater fix the problem

Mine works just fine not a clue what you done wrong without seeing it. But I made a lot of mistakes when building this Only thing I can think is try adding the bone meal to the dispensor and not the chest. Test it and if it works then it means you didn't connect the hopper to the dispensor correctly. If it doesn't it means your redstone is wrong.
@@TrialBySquireive followed everything as instructed and even in the video his chest is auto dispensing the bonemeal, idk how i fixed it in another world but in the one with my kids i cant seem to stop it
@@xthescootermanx hmm hard to say without seeing your situation but I don't see it auto dispensing in the video. I do see it going from the chest into the hopper which makes it count down on the chest. The dispenser has 9 slots and the hopper has 5. So 14 stacks of bonemeal will empty from the chest before you see the bonemeal stay in the chest itself. If you meant it's running even with the lever off I would think maybe your lever is on the block above where it should be.
This design can be used with bamboo, yes? I want to build it behind my super smelter and connect it with hoopers to my fuel chest so I don’t have to worry about fuel for it anymore.
Guys, please make sure you're on the correct version for this farm to work, I see many comments saying the dispensers are dry shooting or that it just doesn't work, in the Java edition the sugar can't be given bone meal. :)
I tested it, and from what i remember it works however it’s not that efficient as the bamboo doesn’t grow quick enough for the top piston to harvest it. only the bottom piston harvests it.

@@MeVappy yeah you can do a mud with Hopper and glass block instead of pane. The machine becomes 1 taller, then, which may or may not matter to you.

you're using a dropper not a dispenser!
by the way you need to make it on bedrock especially it dosent work

No. The lever should be locking the redstone clock in the powered position. The dispenser wouldn't keep firing
