Potter needs more time, these arnt his players. No use appointing a project manager only to sack him before he's had a chance to clear out the people he doesn't want. I think the player who sums Chelsea up right now is Kai Havertz. I have no idea what his best position is, and he's super inconsistent. There's talent there for sure but he needs direction. That's the same with Chelsea as a team. Lots of quality on paper, but it just doesn't seem to fit together on the pitch.
I said at the end of last year, Chelsea's biggest task would be replacing Antonio Rudiger. It's not worked out with Koulibaly and they are suffering for it majorly. I won't even get into all of the other issues all over the pitch.

I feel for you bro. Chelsea’s current problems stem from poor transfer business going back at least 5 years. Bohely has simply continued in this vain. It’s going to take many years to rectify this situation. It starts with a good manager, coaching staff and world class scouts. But it’s not as simple as that. We need to release those players that don’t meet our standards. New recruits need to be either top class or have that potential. But, the mentality of these new players and whether they can adapt to our playing style or different styles/ systems is equally as important. At best we have 2 to 3 world class players. Reece James and Silva fit into that category. But that’s not enough. We have too many overpaid average players. Hence we find ourselves in this position. That is an unmotivated, unimaginative, uninspiring and overpaid bang average squad.

Agree as a Liverpool fan we're not in crisis, we still have 4 wins in the last 5 despite poor form lately, but many fans know we're not at the level we were last season. To be fair, a year ago us United fans were saying the same thing about feeling the most disconnected from our team ever, and 12 months later we're looking so much better. Granted we had a few players that while they were playing bad we knew that we could trust them to be key members of the team such as Bruno, Rashford, Varane, and De Gea/Shaw to an extent. With a good manager and signings we've managed to turn around the squad and now the only big problem area in the first team is the striker position. Not sure if Chelsea currently have as many players that you can trust to be key members of the squad in the future, but I feel like Chelsea are still only a few good signing away from challenging for top 4 again. Also not sure if Potter is the right manager for Chelsea especially currently but I think if Chelsea gives him time he could definitely turn things around but he would need time. If Chelsea want short term success then probably sacking him and getting another manager in might be the right decision but its not going to solve everything as you said.
Mate I am no Chelsea fan but some of the reactions to their recent slump are well ott. They have an atrocious injury list and a change of ownership and manager yet none of these factors seem to be taken into account. Potter needs more time, these arnt his players. No use appointing a project manager only to sack him before he's had a chance to clear out the people he doesn't want. I think the player who sums Chelsea up right now is Kai Havertz. I have no idea what his best position is, and he's super inconsistent. There's talent there for sure but he needs direction. That's the same with Chelsea as a team. Lots of quality on paper, but it just doesn't seem to fit together on the pitch.
I said at the end of last year, Chelsea's biggest task would be replacing Antonio Rudiger. It's not worked out with Koulibaly and they are suffering for it majorly. I won't even get into all of the other issues all over the pitch.

I feel for you bro. Chelsea’s current problems stem from poor transfer business going back at least 5 years. Bohely has simply continued in this vain. It’s going to take many years to rectify this situation. It starts with a good manager, coaching staff and world class scouts. But it’s not as simple as that. We need to release those players that don’t meet our standards. New recruits need to be either top class or have that potential. But, the mentality of these new players and whether they can adapt to our playing style or different styles/ systems is equally as important. At best we have 2 to 3 world class players. Reece James and Silva fit into that category. But that’s not enough. We have too many overpaid average players. Hence we find ourselves in this position. That is an unmotivated, unimaginative, uninspiring and overpaid bang average squad.

Agree as a Liverpool fan we're not in crisis, we still have 4 wins in the last 5 despite poor form lately, but many fans know we're not at the level we were last season. To be fair, a year ago us United fans were saying the same thing about feeling the most disconnected from our team ever, and 12 months later we're looking so much better. Granted we had a few players that while they were playing bad we knew that we could trust them to be key members of the team such as Bruno, Rashford, Varane, and De Gea/Shaw to an extent. With a good manager and signings we've managed to turn around the squad and now the only big problem area in the first team is the striker position.
Not sure if Chelsea currently have as many players that you can trust to be key members of the squad in the future, but I feel like Chelsea are still only a few good signing away from challenging for top 4 again. Also not sure if Potter is the right manager for Chelsea especially currently but I think if Chelsea gives him time he could definitely turn things around but he would need time. If Chelsea want short term success then probably sacking him and getting another manager in might be the right decision but its not going to solve everything as you said.

They have an atrocious injury list and a change of ownership and manager yet none of these factors seem to be taken into account. Personally I would love to see Chelsea’s slump last but I would bet my house on it that they will come back with a bang in the not too distant future.
