I grew up in the seventies and eighties hearing the Kingston Trio version of this song, loved it then and love it now. Finding this version was pure delight! Great stuff!
That was the original singer. He went on to form a band called Street Dogs. The guy that took his place was from a band called The Bruisers. They were more hardcore inspired. Obviously, it worked out for DKM but there are a few songs they rereleased with the singer from the Bruisers. I think the original fella was only on their first 2 albums, I'm just not 100% sure. In "Barroom Hero" if I remember correctly, the original had a shout out to the Bruisers and the rerecorded version didn't.
@@rosetiger7268 This is their first album and it was the only one with Mike who was the original main vocalist. I think he left in like ‘97 or ‘98 and every album after that is Al Barr.
lmfao the most awkward thing ever happened with this song today. i was first day working with my new co-driver whos a african immigrant and i just happen to be a skinheaded guy whos not 1% racist. they played this on radio and all i heard was "hoi hoi hoi" because it wasnt that loud and all else could be heard was the punk music and not the lyrics. well ofc i let the song play because i had never heard it before and its fucking good and then it ended and the host introduced the song but the co-driver ofc didnt speak finnish so well so at the first "skinhead" i realized that oh shit he must be thinking im playing some hidden message to him when i also first learned the song name xD choose to switch channel on the second "skinhead" and maybe he got me right maybe he didnt even listen lol. not that id give a shit about the overly sensitive one-way racial sensitivity but i still would have liked to maybe just skip this square if possible xD well its hella funny memory now and hey i found a new song
Matthew Bradbury oh ya they do I seen them In bend Oregon. they picked a girl from the audience played the state of Massachusetts while she learn the lyrics to Dirty Glass before they brought it on
4 years ago, they were doing this song and an actual skinhead got up on the stage among the crowd. Ken Casey noticed while they were performing TNT, so he went over and beat him over the head with a bass guitar
When you're drunk singing this and forget your head is shaved and you're pasty white with blue eyes and have to school people on skin/hardcore. Fuck the Fash.

Another Murphy's song to my life
I like this vocalist better than the other guy, it makes the songs sound more authentic
AttentionJunkie original vocalist Mike started a band called The Streetdogs. They play every year at Wreck the Balls. Check them out.
I dont think attentionjunkie would care as he likes this singer better..
@@rosetiger7268 This singer is Mike. That’s why he said that.
