It seems you are confusing "Minion" with "Adventurer". The enemies you fight are Adventurers, these generate the essential spirits when removed(defeated). Your cards are Minions, these do not generate spirits when you use a removal on them. Edit: Yeah you figured it out eventually.
Sorry, but I dont get ehats the "Yous lose" condition is.. I saw the Diamonds in the lower right at the end, they are somewhat your HP, i get it. But how long do you fight each wave ? Where´s the counter or similiar thing to determine when the adventurers "win" the round ?

All rougelikes today are ruined by this choose three casino mechanic. When you play them you realize you always fall short of pulling what you need for the build strategy you would like to impliment. Then you are just building nothing.
I mean yeah, part of the magic of this channel is hearing questionable takes by Tyler, but Im kinda sure that saying that Luck Be a Landlord isnt still the best game in the subgenre can cost you your gamer license.

Each adventurer has a countdown on them. If it hits zero, they steal a diamond. Lose all three diamonds and you lose
You should do a relook at Dead Estate, it just got its final update!
