    I love using Google Slides!! One good thing that came out of COVID. I stepped out of my comfort zone and learned how to use them. It keeps me on track with my day.

    I want to just say thank you for this video! I am wanting to incorporate slides next year for my Kinder classroom and this video explains how to make slides using Google and PowerPoint perfectly. Not only will it help me throughout the day, but it will also help my students know exactly what comes next which is greatly needed for most students. Again, thank you Miss May!

    Miss May- Can you please do a video on how you handle major "mean girl mentality" in your first grade classroom? I have a trio who are just SO mean to other classmates. There are tears from students everyday because of this trio. I separate them but they find a way to say and do hurtful things to others separatley. I have been sending notes home, had a meeting with parents, and just started using your stop and think sheets. Nothing is stopping the mean behavior. When I discuss the impact rhis has with the children, they totally break down.. but do it again within minutes. And they are all still so young that i feel bad too! But I want the behavior to stop.

      Have you tried having students in your class recognize each other for positive behavior? Maybe put in a class mailbox, and students can put notes of someone they saw being nice to someone, and you read it out at the end of the day or week? Once the girls see that peers recognize each other, it may create some sort of positive peer pressure in your classroom, and they may want to do the same (be nice) in order to get recognized.

      @@teacherof20 This is brilliant! I usually recognize and give little rewards or an award for what I see, but I really like allowing them to recognize!

    This has been so helpful! Do you have the Google Docs lesson plan template on your website? I looked for it, but couldn't find it. I'm hoping I just overlooked it.

    Don’t know it it is similar but in power point instead of shift copy/ paste you can get the slide you want and press ctr D to duplicate it as many times as you want.

    If you want your slides in order…just rename them and put a number before the name you have with the date. Then, they’ll be in order (1,2,3,4, etc…)

    These are great! You know I love your slides! Thank you!❤ My team uses a different lesson plan format that I’m not crazy about. Would you be willing to share your lesson plan format with me?

    I noticed that you said you don’t teach directly from your slides. My district uses a scripted phonics and literacy curriculum that we must adhere to. How would you incorporate that into your slides? Would you just have a slide to represent it is time for that lesson, but then read directly from the script in your manual?

    • @OneFABTeacher
      @OneFABTeacher  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would just have a slide with the title and some type of clipart. (( Hugs))

      could you share what scripted phonics and literacy curriculum you use? my school doesn't have a specific one and I'd like to use a script as a guiding point for my lessons. Thanks!

    Hi Ms May!!! Can you edit the titles? I teach dual language and I need to somtimes teach in Spanish

    • @OneFABTeacher
      @OneFABTeacher  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, but I have the slides that have the clipart and everything without a title so that you can insert a different title. ((Hugs))
