Really great story and life lesson . Sadly this is all normal and it’s meant to prepare you for something greater coming . Make sure not to put all the blame on her or the other fake friends and figure out why you keep attracting these type of bad apples . You will be just fine and we all have to learn this the hard way on our way up .

a lot of people choose friends based on looks or the idea of their friendship. I’ve found the most genuine friends through shared hobbies and interests regardless of if we had the same “aesthetics”

It is tough finding genuine girl friends. I can't with the competition, the jealousy, putting the other down, the gossiping, I don't play that. I only had two genuine girl best friends and both of them moved across the country and we eventually just fell off. We definitely like each other's posts on IG but it's not the same 😭😭😭
i recently lost a “best friend” who acted just like this and it genuinely hurt for a while, but once i sit back and realized how absent they were the whole time and how much negativity they carried with them i was glad to let the friendship go.

I currently have 0 friends. After high school my "friend group" literally started to drop. I was the last friend to join this group of 3 girls. I always felt like I was the last option, and everyone would only call on me if they needed something. One girl out of that friend group still tried to remain my friends, but after several red flags I just decided to cut all ties off with her. I would just prefer to have any contact with her just because shes still friends with the other two girls that stopped being friends with me. Call what you want, but Im not longer remaining friends with someone when they hang around someone that does not like me from this situation here.
Her energy is weird. I cut off a friend recently due to ignoring my progress, content etc. She did watch my stories too. A hater indeed because what genuine friend Ignores 90% of your work?
I had a "friend" in seventh grade and she was just very very judgmental. The kind of person that always has to be the only person who has an opinion about everything and hers is the only opinion that can possibly be right. I had to stand up for other people several times because she had been blatantly screaming at them and making them cry because no matter what, somebody was always wrong. She made me cry four different times because when I tried to stand up for other friends she did the same to me. One day she started avoiding everyone in our friend group and none of us knew why. She would talk to us sometimes individually but never all together, and never me, even though I was the ONLY one who ever checked on her to see what was going on and if she was okay. during this time where she left us all, I had a lot of my other friends tell me that she'd been talking about me the entire time I thought we were friends. She would call me the B word, just out right say she hates me, that I'm fake, that I'm never gonna find anyone who loves me. Not to mention this girl also claimed to be a christian, I'm a christian, so it's just like gurl... no. You can't do that and then be like "BUT I love God, that's enough, right?" But because all my other friends never told me about the things she was saying when she actually said them, I don't know if they're real ones either? She also told my crush I liked him, made fun of me for being flat in front of all of our friends when she's also a pancake, etc. People come, people go, but I'm glad she's gone.
My "best friend" left me when I was in the hospital and I was miserable. She used my depression as a scapegoat to leave me, but really, she was jealous of me and verbally abusive to the point where other people would point out how mean she is to me. She would say weird things to me too. I'm glad she's gone, it's been a few months and I was really traumatized by her.

my most recent “friend” i cut off was a whole narcissist who played victim after they got caught up and exposed for talking shit about me. after that situation, all i can do is reflect every red flag and weirdness i ignored. ppl show u who they are. it’s up to you to see is and firm those boundaries, leave ppl where they have u fucked up at.
Fr. She was talking shit w family who also went to our school and when confronted apologized, but later on told me that I was sensitive. I’m always complimenting her and yet she’s never done that genuinely. Even saw her physically choke up once before giving me a half assed one.
This happened with me too. I supported a friend HEAVY. She's definitely an entrepreneur type and I admired that fire in her. Subscribed to her videos, liked and comment. Encouraged her to keep pushing. She used to comment on my posts, watch my stories and vice versa But now its like she dont even see me at all. I started a TH-cam channel recently too. No love or acknowledgement from her. I saw her recently. I clearly see that it was one sided and I gave too much of myself. If I did something wrong, I would never know cuz like you said, I cant read minds. I can read tarot but I cant read minds lol Im good man. I don’t have any friends because i’m the supportive, loving, outgoing friend. I’m the friend you can call at 3am or any time of the day just because you can’t sleep or whatever. But It don’t ever be reciprocated, that’s why i stay to myself fr.

Everything that you said about her is giving traits of a narcissist. Everything is all fun and games when you’re getting to know them because they’re lovebombing you (this term is usually used for romantic relationships but they do the same thing with friends). Once they have you in their hands they stop putting in the effort and then they switch up on you. I had a very similar situation happen with one of my ex best friend’s from high school. I thought she was a sweet person until we got closer and I started to notice very weird strange things happening. She started to copy my style, started to talk like me, act like me, pose the same way I did in photos, etc. She also encouraged me to date one of her guy friends (I didn’t but I did talk to him for a while) and then I found out later on she actually tried to date him after me and him had been talking. She also started to make backhanded comments about me and noticed a lot of passive aggressiveness from her. Eventually things came to an end after we had a bad falling out (she ended up actually physically attacking me after I made a joke about her). Then like 2 years later she randomly messaged me and friend requested me on Facebook. I had mostly forgotten about her at this point so I forgot a lot of the weird shit she had done (I was also really naive back then) and I was kinda lonely at the time so I mistakenly started to talk to her again and things of course got weird again. Her competitiveness and passive aggressive attitude started again, but by this point I didn’t have the tolerance I once had so I just ended up blocking her. she somehow ended up contacting me again 2 years later. I suspect she tried to contact me other times through fake accounts after this because I’ve gotten some weird dms throughout the years. I didn’t find out until recently that this is very common for narcissists to do. They like to hoover people to fall back in their weird ass abusive cycle. So yeah stay wary of weirdos like this.
Lord this is EXACTLY what I experienced with my friend. She was so supportive and eager to be my best friend in the beginning, we used to constantly say we’d never met a friend like this, and she even would be kind of flirty at some moments (red flag of the love bombing imo). Over the years she started imitating so many of my goals, traits and even my style and speech/phrases. The denial was always there, even after she changed her major three times to match mine. She went to therapy but honestly that seemed to only make it worse because she became very arrogant and assured that she was always right. I think she felt powerful when she could be a mentor or make sure people knew her expertise and how ‘evolved’ she was. She was much more covert in the manipulation but looking back, she actually never took accountability for anything, and I watched her do some really shitty things to other people. She had a lot to say about other people but was completely oblivious to her faults when it truly mattered. I think she liked to pretend she was self aware, but I think she just had cognitive dissonance. As soon as that connection ended, my life got less stressful 🤷♀️
I think your ex friend was jealous because she knew you'll blow up on TH-cam. Fake friends get negative when they see you succeed

I dealt with someone like this recently, they've often made excuses to not show up to things but they get caught in a lie very often. Then when you confront them they turn all their problems around on you when you were nothing but good to them in several occasions. When i had enough and just flat out told them i didn't trust them from how shifty they moved around, how terrible they were with time management and communication is when they had a problem because it wasn't them that ended the friendship. Finding genuine friends is extremely difficult because you have legendary ones, but you also have those that just ain't shit. For a long time now, anytime i meet with someone i look for red flags

I know this was 10 months ago but, your friend was tired of running on a treadmill trying to keep up with you. She saw your grind and was scared to be left behind because she thought you were doing better than her. She was jealous, and scared to be shown up, and left behind. When she saw she couldn't keep up, she was seething and getting bitter and bitter. So, that's why she started to change up on you. She wasn't lying, she never wanted to start a TH-cam channel, she felt she needed to not look less while standing next to you. I can tell you still feel confused emotionally as you know what happened step but not really. Most adults don't have friends, they keep acquaintances that they call friends. With acquaintances, it's all Gucci until it's not and just move on. Hope you feel better about this ex-friend of yours.

I cut off a longtime fake friend since high school in September. I realized in the last 13 years this she acts similar to your fake friend in the last few recent years. She takes her ass to my IG stories.. wouldn’t respond to me for days, weeks and months to my texts, messages since I was always the one reaching out to her first. I realized the base of our friendship was off of alcohol, and looking for men. My dislikes were her dislikes, she’d want to do the same things I wanna do. I realized she only had a pattern of contacting me when she had issues with guys… being her excuse for not messaging me and leaving me on read. I was highly codependent on her. I looked back in my high school years and early college years with her.. she had new friends from her college, being in town and didn’t hit me up. She claimed I was her best friend. She only wanted to have a good time with me.. but didn’t care if I was alive or not. Her communication is whack too.

GIRL I had a situation with a friend, got mad at me when I didn't do anything and I should've been saying stuff to her cause she'd wronged me so bad. Was texting me all this stuff about what a bad person and friend I am. I did not understand cause all I'd done is be there for her, met her when she needed me which resulted in me being up all night finishing my work multiple times. Literally went so out of my way to be good to her and she turned on me so bad. So, she'd been texting paragraphs for about an hour, I call her, no answer. She texts and says 'I can't talk I'm busy with work' as if she hadn't been texting me constantly. Said she'd call me back - I haven't heard from her in over a year lol. After 10 years of friendship.

He was very ungrateful, disloyal very mean, unappreciative, judgemental, close-minded, and a liar. He was also a guy friend,we've been friends for like back in school and then things change when this incident happened, which I don't want to talk about it on here in the comment section. since after I graduated and left the school a lot of people told me that he was spreading false rumors that him and I had sex at the park and I got really pissed off. so I confronted him that I had nothing to do with him and I don't want to talk to him ever again and then I cut him off. My friend is coming out with his clothing brand and he wanted me to model his clothes and become a brand embassador. He told me he would also give me the clothes for free.... I told him I won't allow that, but I will pay for the clothes and model and become a brand embassador. He was sooo shocked because all of his other friends told him to just give them the clothes for free... but this is my bestfriend and when I say I support you I'm dead serious about it.
