Punk plays all his characters the same. Simple but effective. I just wish he’d use Ed’s abilities and try creative mix ups with them. This is just a showcase of fundamentals & great execution.
@longschlongjohnson6470 why would a player not play to their strengths? Everyone knows Punk has his own playstyle. He's the known player that plays on footsies and whiff punishes. I find it cool that he makes the characters fit his playstyle.
You mentioned create mixups but is a shimmy not a mixup? Punk plays a strike/throw game so idk what you mean. Also Ed doesn't have an overhead. Only so much "mix" you can do lol
Punk makes characters adapt to his play style rather than the other way around. Bro plays honest footsies with Sol Badguy and gets Kimberly to Legend without using spray cans.
I know, he is one of my favorites due to his pure talent but I think he is lacking a lot of mental fortitude. He’s super temperamental and when he’s triggered, it’s hard for him to shake it off. Dude needs a sports psychology coach and he will be golden.
I won't say that punk is the best Ed player but he has the best fundamentals period. That's what makes him the best modern player in sf.
