Hi Paul, glad that you and Janet had a lovely holiday in Sri Lanka . With the financial crisis, inflation at a peak 110% prices of food fuel and energy tripling overnight put a lot of pressure on the people. There were times people existing on one meal a day. The caretaker Government went to the IMF for the 17th time to save the country. The IMF controls the economy setting certain bench marks to get the 2 Billion promised. What keeps the economy afloat is the Sri Lankan's living and working abroad sending money back home about $7 Billion. A lot of people are still hurting. Cheers Mate Greetings from a hot and humid Florida. I was born and raised in SL
When you travelled on your bike, how did you organise visas? Did you organise pre trip or through the internet as you travelled? And lastly are any of these visa on entry at all?
My Indian visa I organised online for 12 months, multiple entry, but these visas aren't valid for land crossings. I took a US$30 flight from Dhaka to Kolkata and the Online Visa was stamped in my passport and now could be used for land crossings. For Pakistan, I used an Agent. It cost me US$90, I think, for 12 months multiple entry but you have to leave the country every 3 months, I think. Contact me again if you want the agent's details. He did everything. Everywhere else was "Visa on Arrival"

It seems the description in most items being displayed hava a South indian bias. So take what they say in this museum with a pinch of salt.
OK, thank you
