- I have recreated the Stage 6 Final Boss, Keiki Haniyasushin's theme "Entrusting this World to Idols ~ Idolatrize World" from "Touhou 17 ~ Wily Beast and Weakest Creature". Hope you enjoy!
This is a day 1 MIDI release. I tried to make it as accurate as possible to the original. Forgive me if there are any inaccuracies to the original, as I was kinda rushing...

honestly, the touhou 17 rep for a new fighter would so definitely be Saki, seeing as she does intend to try to visit gensokyo at some point

That was indeed fast.
It's kind of cool we got an artist 2hou... well, evil artist, but still.
Is she evil? If you look up the lore summary by Clarste, she is a goddess that was called by the Human spirits in the beast world to help 'em - if anything, in this game the protagonist seems(?) to be the bad guy.
From whatever info I got so far, the heroine is basically sucked up in a turf war between the different animal spirits factions and the human spirits in the Animal Realm. Though Keiki's dialogue is kinda chilling, talking about destroying the animal spirit and recreating them into idols. Well, at least from what I got anyway
Okay to rephrase now that I know more about her.
She isn't necesarily evil per se, most of the cast in modern Touhou isn't. Keiki specifically sits in this gray area, she's a Prometheus to people, but to animals and their spirits? Not so much.. I kind of find her intriguing to be honest.
@@luckluster Animals and their spirits seem like the definitive bad guy over here. Their entire world is a fucking mess of dog-eats-dog, they quite literally basically enslave a type of spirit for being the weakest and essentially pretty much possess and manipulate reimu/youmu/marisa to do their bidding.
Human spirits, just to survive, called upon Keiki and she did what a goddess does, protect the weak ones.
I do think Keiki is similar to Byakuren in that they want peace between the warring sides, the former between the animal and human spirits, the latter between human and youkai. However, both Gensokyo and Hell/Animal Realm have been swirled in a silent power struggle between everyone that lives there that could turn into a bloody war with casualties if it's not for the existing rules and status/power division enacted. Like the Spellcard rules leveling power between human and youkai, and the status quo of the animal spirits over the human spirits that serves to placate all of the warring factions.
So a figure that tries to call for equality and peace between these factions, will potentially upset this balance and makes things worse. Like how Sukuna tried to elevate the status of weak youkai in DDC, to the extent of allowing Seija to manipulate her. And if the incident solvers haven't intervened in Hell, the animal spirits are not above waging war against Gensokyo and conquering it, and seeing how Yukari and the youkai army failed to conquer the Lunar Capital twice before, this is still a possibility.
So ultimately Reimu and co serves to maintain the status quo and solve any immediate incidents that happen, which ultimately preserves the peace of Gensokyo above all else.
It's fun to discuss these, sorry for the long wall of text. I'm just excited to think that we may be at a new arc in the lore of Gensokyo

I really like the song, it could easily be one of my favorite final boss songs. However, I somehow feel that the intro is somewhat cut at the start? I don't really know, the song over all sounds like one of the greatest touhou songs in my opinion.
