Kathmandu airport is known to be one of the difficult places to land as it is situated in a valley surrounded by high mountains ..the mighty Himalayas.
The airport itself is around 4400 feet above sea level and the mountains go as high as 11600 feet within 25 miles of the airport....infact the mountains start becoming an obstacle for flights just 4 miles from the airport.
Nepal is a land of natural wonders and ancient beauty. It gets cold in the winters but the people have a warm heart. Tourism is the life line for many of the hardworking people...if you get a chance do visit this wonderful place. #kathmandu
This is the extended cut including some sightseeing during a typical 24 hour layover in KTM ...which is woefully inadequate to visit a place as beautiful as this... but we try to make the best out of it .

@@Purplehaze2222 thanks for info, i can feel what you probably thought when you read that lol:) .i have been through the same irritation when i see an argument regarding whether buddha was born in india or nepal but my intend was not to claim where he belonged to. i have been wondering about this since long time that his principles has been being followed in the area far away from where he actually lived and shared his knowledges to others.

Though there was no boundaries in that time but now there is boundaires. According to now Birth place of Gautam buddha is located in Kapilvastu district in nepal. We nepal also don't want to talk about birthplace of budhha but In many text book of different countries there is fake location that is India. And every buddha followers should know the real birth location of Lord Buddha. Birthplace of lord buddha and Mt. Everest are pride of nepal so it matters to us. China is clamming Everest lies in their country and India is clamming Birthplace of Buddha lies in their country. Nepal Being Small country It matters alot to us.

Thanks for watching ..I have landed multiple times in Kathmandu and Nairobi ...though cannot compare both places....it's like chalk and cheese. Am glad the Nepalis are proud of their city in the valley...life is difficult but they manage it very well with limited resources. Am sure you are proud of your city as well as you should be. 😊

@@aa6eheia156 not sure about that but durbar marg 2 pics are old..others were all just before pandemic...I didn't have the recent durbar marg pics . I don't want to put actual dates due to company policies...also to protect my crew. Thanks for your understanding. Some other places we usually visit is Chandragiri and Nagarkot...that will be another video
