Mettaton NEO... Mettaton NEO... METTATON NEO!!! It's extremely dissappointing that Mettaton NEO isn't an actual boss. Considering how good Undyne the Undying, sans, Spamton NEO, and Mettaton EX (Who isn't difficult enough to be on this list but still a very good boss.) are, Mettaton NEO had the potential to be the best boss in both games. If Mettaton NEO were a boss, Mettaton would easily be the most popular character in both Undertale and Deltarune. But instead, they made it so that when you attack him you deal way too much damage.
I feel that the point of Mettaton NEO was to subvert the expectation of the new Geno route version of a boss, and to show how unstoppable Frisk has become. It would make a great boss, but it is still really good story wise
That would probably be 9/10 😂 since its basically Sans's swirling attack (which was rated 8.5 here) with some hard stuff before it. Though you can at least memorise the pattern.
I think the reason the og undertale bosses are harder was because their attacks are set in stone, so and so will always use this attack at this time and there was little rng other than when you dodge those on you location.
if the bosses i find difficult are immediately classified as easy i don’t want to fight the battles people consider actually hard then again i am fighting sans and jevil after having beaten undyne the undying around a year ago
Jevil is probably the hardest cuz his attacks are randomized and like they said, there is no strategy to beat jevil his attacks are random you don't know when or where he will strike for example, the devils knife, you won't know if it will go left or right same with the ring-a-round... Spamton also has randomized attacks but you can easily beat him by putting something heavy on your enter button then spam Z and it will literally spam the big shots, and yes, ik that he becomes enraged but because you can spam big shots you can easily beat him. ALSO PRESSING F1 MAKES SPAMTON HEAL YOU, IT ONLY WORKS ONCE BUT IT FULLY HEALS YOU AND IS SUPER USEFUL
sans is the hardest cuz of the timing in his patterns he’s the easiest to no hit cuz the patterns never change and some attacks depend mostly on how much you pay attention and the rng you get as for spamton and jevil they have randomized attacks but they have patterns it’s harder to learn patterns when it doesn’t repeat the same way it did before that’s why sans is not further up in the list

I beat Spamton Neo in 3 tries and Jevil took SO long, i beat him in like 3 hours. Undyne the undying I'd say is the hardest on this list because the only reason Sans is hard is his final attack. Spamton Neo is by far the easyist with his snow-grave variant taking me about 30 minutes to beat. I don't know why everyone is so hype about Mr. Neo because the truth is Muffet is harder.

sans took me 9 hours in total to beat, but after you beat him in your first attempts. You can easily beat him within an hour. His fight is purely memorization. After that undyne the undying is the hardest one in undertale. Jevil is the hardest boss in both games.

I disagree, jevil is too easy compared to spamton. The attacks in spamton fight are way harder than jevil bc jevil is just fill up the screen with random bs
Jevil took me a little under 10 attempts while sans did take me upwards of 50 but once u have learnt ur way around the attacks It becomes easy. Although these clips don't really show that because they were recorded at 4am
Most bosses are pretty easy, undertale bosses (excluding genocide Bosses) and Deltarune Bosses (excluding hidden bosses) are either too fun, plain easy or slightly tricky, Undyne the Undying is just like Undyne but harder to put it lightly tho the DMG ain't a joke it took me a few tries of testing to figure out Undyne's attacks and required hits to defeat her plus I had a pretty bad PS4 so minus points on that. (Difficult 6.25) next is Spamton Neo took me at least around 10 or 9 tries and its the same testing but it made me have to get more on my toes when figuring out what to do. (Difficulty 7.3) Sans is just pure skill, I actually beat this in 7 tries on my PS4 only because it took me 20 tries of practicing in my high school using one of the computers to play bad time simulator (those were the times were the Undertale game functionality was entirely new to me) the final attack is easily the most intense final attack in any undertale/deltarune fight. (Difficulty 8.9) Jevil.....literally made me have to use everything hidden weapon/item in the game to defeat Jevil, I died......DIED specifically FIFTY-ish times only to realize I could have had way better armor/weapons if I payed attention (to be more clearer I was rushing like a mad man when I first played Deltarune and it didn't take me long to find the hidden circus clown without having good gear to take him head on) I had to erase my save file and replay the whole thing just to find better weapons and armors just to fight Jevil and I never strategized so hard when I went in the fight with choatic clown, I did first try him with the better armour and weapons but still it made me sweat. (Difficulty 9.6) Now I can just first try all of them with skill and sometimes strategic thinking, I mostly sweat when fighting Sans or Jevil.

Hey I'm currently at the undyne the undying fight and I just noticed, that I forgot the ballet shoes. I always get her at like hlf of her hp and then die because of these stupid reverse arrows. Any tips?
Get torn notebook and what armor are you using? Also with the yellow arrows look at them and pretend they are coming from the other direction other than that just practice it
If you didn’t get it, a good tip is this: When you first see the yellow arrows, they come in a pattern: Up, Left, Up, Left, Up, Left. What you need to do is do down, right, down, right, down, right. It’s just a pattern. The next time you see those pesky arrows, just know that you will never repeat a direction twice with them, they should each cover one direction.
Bruh I once beat Spamton NEO on my first try on Snowgrave. Then again it took like 20 tries my first time beating him so he is kinda hard. Jevil is easier but only a bit, he is honestly harder in terms of endurance. Now Sans is actually hard, takes alot more memory skills.
Undyne the undying is PEAK balance when it comes to difficult fights, first off you get owned, then you adapt and finally beat her, much easier than sans bruh
Sans is both a hard and easy boss at the same time His attacks all have a lot going on, but he is a 100% scripted fight (assuming you attack every turn, even if you dont he just repeats his last attack or does one from the start of the fight) He takes a lot of deaths for a first time player But if you know how to dodge his attacks, you can beat him easily
you have to come from a stand point on Sans where it’s your first try, then his first attack is a full on random surprise mesh of chaos and danger, about a 9/10, other attacks are more repetitive yet not simple nor imprecise, much precision is needed for sans, and his music gotta get him something lol (that’s a joke if you want to attack me).
Ya agree sans defiantly requires quick thinking when your fighting. While other bosses gives you a breather i would say sans more annoying then any other boss. And the music does give him extra point .
I like to say spamton neo(genocide) was most difficult for me. Bc I didn’t really get good equipment. Sans took me 30-1. Spamton took me and hour or 2 only reason I’m saying he more difficult because his last few attacks are such crazy spam not only that changes a bit each attack and takes hot minute to understand it’s pattern while sans just more annoying keep repeating until the end.
for me its like this : 5. undyne (around 3 hours) 4. spamton neo (30 min but I got way better at the game) 3. snowgrave spamton (around one hour with the enraged version) 2. jevil (around 6 hours) and the most difficult one is sans obviously, it seems that some people somehow had more trouble with jevil than sans, while it took me one half a day to beat jevil, with sans its FOUR GODDAMN DAYS, and that's with me knowing the entire fight and seeing no-hit videos and strategies to beat him (it actually took me a week but there were three days I didn't play in because I was so pissed off lol) i wasn't good at the game when I tried sans and undyen but after playing for so long I can easily tell that sans is the most difficult fight in the franchise. but that's only from my experience so don't count on it
Sans is still the hardest, I beat Undyne in 5 try's, Jevil in about 16, haven't fought Spamton Neo, And it took me around 20 25ish tries with sans. the reason why people say sans is easy is because they have the moves memorized but the first time you actually go into the fight you have no clue what's ahead. So yes now sans is easy to me but when I first fought him it was definitely harder then Jevil or Undyne and I'm about to fight Spamton and I'm 90 percent sure it will still be easier then sans.
Idk why everyone thinks jevil is much harder idgi. I tried to beat jevil 4 times but had trash healing items so after I grinded a bit i beat him first try. Spammton NEO (snowgrave) took me also 5 atts but I already had the best healing items
this is because no one actually fights regular enemies because pacifism gains the better ending. you’re a coward for grinding. unless you mean for money, in which i have to ask why you had a low amount in the first place
True a lot of people say they beat sans in 7 tries,not buying just look up any playthrough I would say around 60_70 then you can beat him I suck ass tho so I beat in 100+

My personal ranking is this: Undyne the undying is easiest because it takes a little bit but you quite quickly pick up muscle memory. Snowgrave spamton next as I didn’t have a problem what with kris high damage. But face attack was really annoying. Jevil is second as he is tough however he doesn’t last that long and after doing him no hit I realised that his patterns are just like undyne’s in a way as they are muscle memory and NOT luck. Sans as he is consistently hard throughout the fight and is way longer the say jevil or spamton so he is probably the hardest. Also the gravity attack cheese doesn’t work for me so ):
For me Jevil is nightmare My list Spamton NEO - 5 hours with challenge without items and it was first win Spamton NEO (Snowgrave) - 4 hours with challenge without items and it was first win. Jevil - 12 hours and all inventory. And I try defeat him without damage but after 5 hours I didn't complete 2 phase. 5,5 for "Clubs Bomb" - Very, VERY BIG MISTAKE If I have many mistakes - I'm don't from English langauge country. Sorry

I think jevil is still harder than snow grave spamton in my opinion because I defeated snow grave spamton in 1 hour on Nintendo switch and it took me four days to defeat jevil I just always died at the mixed bomb attacks

I died to spamton neo once, put the game down for a week, then beat him first try. Jevil though, took me at LEAST 11 or 12 tries
It took me 2 tries to beat Spamton Neo and 2 tries on Jevil (While replaying Chapter 1 then Chapter 2 except I fought in each battle)

The circus attack by jevil has a certain patton to it so you can dodge it pretty easily. I’ll give it a 2/10

I find Sans’ final attack really easy somehow. I barely get hit, and when I do, it’s because my fingers slipped or something.

Undyne the undying is PEAK balance when it comes to difficult fights, first off you get owned, then you adapt and finally beat her, much easier than sans bruh
im i the only one who beat jevil first try (tottaly not beacuz i was sweating my ass off) sans is the hardest for me just cuz he drains me mentaly
also spamton neo was decent (as u can tell im a undertale fanboy who tryharded deltarune to prove sans is still the strongest boss

I think the reason everyone sees spamton neo as easy is because you are a gun
Sans is both a hard and easy boss at the same time
His attacks all have a lot going on, but he is a 100% scripted fight (assuming you attack every turn, even if you dont he just repeats his last attack or does one from the start of the fight)
He takes a lot of deaths for a first time player
But if you know how to dodge his attacks, you can beat him easily
I beat sans 4th try.
Jevil 1st try.
Spamton NEO 2nd try.
I overestimated Jevil, tbh.

you have to come from a stand point on Sans where it’s your first try, then his first attack is a full on random surprise mesh of chaos and danger, about a 9/10, other attacks are more repetitive yet not simple nor imprecise, much precision is needed for sans, and his music gotta get him something lol (that’s a joke if you want to attack me).
Ya agree sans defiantly requires quick thinking when your fighting. While other bosses gives you a breather i would say sans more annoying then any other boss. And the music does give him extra point .
I like to say spamton neo(genocide) was most difficult for me. Bc I didn’t really get good equipment. Sans took me 30-1. Spamton took me and hour or 2 only reason I’m saying he more difficult because his last few attacks are such crazy spam not only that changes a bit each attack and takes hot minute to understand it’s pattern while sans just more annoying keep repeating until the end.

it’s mostly the same, just that the phone hand attack comes earlier and attacks do more damage
for me its like this :
5. undyne (around 3 hours)
4. spamton neo (30 min but I got way better at the game)
3. snowgrave spamton (around one hour with the enraged version)
2. jevil (around 6 hours)
and the most difficult one is sans obviously, it seems that some people somehow had more trouble with jevil than sans, while it took me one half a day to beat jevil, with sans its FOUR GODDAMN DAYS, and that's with me knowing the entire fight and seeing no-hit videos and strategies to beat him (it actually took me a week but there were three days I didn't play in because I was so pissed off lol)
i wasn't good at the game when I tried sans and undyen but after playing for so long I can easily tell that sans is the most difficult fight in the franchise. but that's only from my experience so don't count on it
Sans is still the hardest, I beat Undyne in 5 try's, Jevil in about 16, haven't fought Spamton Neo, And it took me around 20 25ish tries with sans. the reason why people say sans is easy is because they have the moves memorized but the first time you actually go into the fight you have no clue what's ahead. So yes now sans is easy to me but when I first fought him it was definitely harder then Jevil or Undyne and I'm about to fight Spamton and I'm 90 percent sure it will still be easier then sans.
i dont really agree with this. sans was overrated difficulty wise. i'd give him a solid 5/10.

Idk why everyone thinks jevil is much harder idgi. I tried to beat jevil 4 times but had trash healing items so after I grinded a bit i beat him first try. Spammton NEO (snowgrave) took me also 5 atts but I already had the best healing items
this is because no one actually fights regular enemies because pacifism gains the better ending.

True a lot of people say they beat sans in 7 tries,not buying just look up any playthrough I would say around 60_70 then you can beat him I suck ass tho so I beat in 100+

My personal ranking is this:
Undyne the undying is easiest because it takes a little bit but you quite quickly pick up muscle memory.
Snowgrave spamton next as I didn’t have a problem what with kris high damage. But face attack was really annoying.
Jevil is second as he is tough however he doesn’t last that long and after doing him no hit I realised that his patterns are just like undyne’s in a way as they are muscle memory and NOT luck.
Sans as he is consistently hard throughout the fight and is way longer the say jevil or spamton so he is probably the hardest. Also the gravity attack cheese doesn’t work for me so ):
sans took me 20-22tries and undyne the undying 3h

Spamton NEO (Snowgrave) - 4 hours with challenge without items and it was first win.
Jevil - 12 hours and all inventory. And I try defeat him without damage but after 5 hours I didn't complete 2 phase. 5,5 for "Clubs Bomb" - Very, VERY BIG MISTAKE

I beat jevil after 5 tries, spamton like 6, sans took HELL LONG. I necer beat undyne of undying its too hard for me my friend did it for my computer
I think jevil is still harder than snow grave spamton in my opinion because I defeated snow grave spamton in 1 hour on Nintendo switch and it took me four days to defeat jevil I just always died at the mixed bomb attacks

I still think Undyne is harder than Sans... I'm still not used to the shield ability... I will say that Sans is by far the easiest out of all the "hard" bosses...
