As a JROTC member, I would like to clear any misconceptions about what is occurring in this video. This is a JROTC competition meet. ***** fortunately for today's military, it's already been proven that officer's in both the UK and America wouldn't have made it to even the rank of Captain when they were General's in the military of WW1 and WW2. The standards have changed, whether a solder agrees with that or not is another story. For example, Paton had no problem sending men out to die at the cost of completing the mission. Most of us find that honorable, not crazy, but he would have never even made it past Officer Candidate School in today's military. So the question is, are we screwing a lot of good leadership out of the ability to lead because of changing the rulebook, or are today's officers better than yesterday's officers?

nope well, given that they are high schoolers in a JROTC class, they are probably going pretty easy. However, I did have on tear into me and this other guy for not swinging my arm enough.
Graduation is only a few days away, and the recruits of Platoon 3092 are salty. They are ready to eat their own guts and ask for seconds. The drill instructors are proud to see that we are growing beyond their control. The Marine Corps does not want robots. The Marine Corps wants killers. The Marine Corps wants to build indestructible men, men without fear.
I did color guard at my bro-law's Marine Corps Ball. I never done it before and got a crash course on it prior too. One thing's for sure - it's tough when the high brass is eye-balling you. But I did good and was proud to be a part of it. These Junior Marines did fairly well, and they should be just as proud to guard our colors. We take it very serious.
Their bearing and maintenance of their discipline and collectiveness during this whole inspection was so professional. I was a shy and awkward kid in high school. If I was in JROTC and was getting inspected by DI's, I would have stammered so badly and trembled. (Oh, and I understand what you're trying to address the JROTC cadets as, but it's an incorrect address to call them "junior Marines". That sounds like "junior enlisted" the terms for enlisted Marines ranking from E-1 to E-3 (Private, Private First Class, and Lance Corporal) These cadets aren't Marines. They're just high school students in the JROTC program to be better more disciplined citizens by training with military regulations and customs. They didn't go through basic training. So although a mistake, it's still incorrect to call them "junior Marines)
I remember when I was in mcjrotc you was the best thing I ever done in my life if I could go back two years ago I'd be still in it it was a wonderful experience for me we had a wonderful major and a wonderful drone structure they might have been hard asses but you know what they've taught me a lot of things in my life

lolkight123 yeah. my bad. autocorrect lol.
yea, im a jrotc marksman team commander, so basically me and my cadtes will be on the sideline saying "yea you show them drill Sargeants"
lolkight123 Nice. I'm a former platoon sgt./ platoon commander for my school's JROTC. My platoon commander got switched to a different platoon the day we were assigned our billets. No one else was fit enough at the time so I was doing both.
That moment when you leave the caps lock on your keyboard and then commented something
YES SIR!!!
That command voice irritated me so much 😂🤦🏻♀️
“Leffftttt”
"Counter March, ARCH" smfh 4:48

TKOVERKILL 0412 thank you sir
I was crying laughing when DI was yelling SAY IT SAY IT SAY IT!
This is awesome where do I sign up
Mike Abbs see if your high school officer a jrotc program. If not look into programs like young marines, or devil pups.
Really?!? After 10 seconds you would want to grab his rifle and shoot your forehead!
Mike Abbs nice joke.
+Ehly Matibag pray for me
“Good morning sir-“
“STOP!!!!!”
That girl cannot sound off at all, surprised the DIs didn't tear into her.
they didn't because of her gender, women get special treatment.
^^^^^
+John Doe When it comes to calling in JROTC, it depends on the instructor, school regs, etc. Some don't want people to shout when calling for some reason.

nope well, given that they are high schoolers in a JROTC class, they are probably going pretty easy. However, I did have on tear into me and this other guy for not swinging my arm enough.
2:26 this remembers me how I looks like when I literally scolding my junior cadets during drill parade or inspection for there hair cuts 😅😅

Much respect for these young adults.
"Because this cadet is carrying the colors, sir!"
"AMAZING!"
All i have to say is DAMN. I am very much impressed by this
I can't think, talk, or respond when they yell at me. "requesting permission to mount the pull-up bar Sir."
Nice reference
It's my last night on the island...and I draw fire watch
25 years later.....I have so much respect for my old drill Sargents (US Army 1993-2004)
I remember when I was in mcjrotc you was the best thing I ever done in my life if I could go back two years ago I'd be still in it it was a wonderful experience for me we had a wonderful major and a wonderful drone structure they might have been hard asses but you know what they've taught me a lot of things in my life
Dawn Guidry I feel the same about mine but I am still currently in it, I know I’m gonna miss them when I graduate.
Capitain: *scream a lot*
Cadet: Y E S S I R

0:34 the cadet that hit the Inspecting Officer’s hat definitely got a block full of Knife Hands.
I was an airborne ranger, NCO, and deployed multiple times to combat. I’ve seen a lot of intimidating NCOs in the military and that black Gunney sergeant looked like he was about a second away from crushing that kids life. Real jarhead shit right there, props
its so funny watching these big bad instructors voice crack lol
This is some kind of madhouse. If all the energy spent on these screams were directed to peaceful purposes, it would be possible to build a city.
I could hear “RIPS ARE OFF SCREAM AYE SIR” in my head at 4:00
I just realized this is my school
Yea I'm shook too
@@ehlymorty380 same
Lol! The color just keeps getting in the color guards face😂
Wait, so you can call cadence while marching at a competition during the performance? Because I'm on Drill Team and I was told we couldn't do that and I'm pretty sure our Color Guard team doesn't either.
If they weren't deaf, now they are!
Вот такие собаки несут добро нам и нашим детям)
Did we “IP” our uniform
“Dumb Cadet”
AYE AYE SIR !!!”
WTF?! how come they got the blood stripe on their trousers? ?? they told our MCJROTC in Sacramento we weren't allowed to wear the blood stripe
different units just do things differently
Kennedy high school has it
Idk. I go to the school this was hosted at and we don't have blood stripes.
ours has ig it depends
they discontinued the use of the blood stripes by cadets in 2012-2013 completely but marine cadets are still allowed to wear dress whites as of 2016 regs
