HSCC...thanks for this special song. My first wife would have been 58 yrs. old today. She died of cancer in 2000 at the age of 37. Love, Light and Peace, Loni.
I loved Bobby Caldwell! He was so unique with his songwriting his voice his music. This was one of his biggest hits, but he wrote many hits for other famous artists that a lot of people don't even know about. He was able to blend soul, jazz and funk, r&b, contemporary altogether for his unique sound. I asked Constantine Delo If he could make an arrangement of this song that Bobby wrote. And this is the video he sent me. What a special gift. As most of you know Bobby passed away on March 14th 2023. I for one will miss his unique talent and all the entertainment he had yet to give us. But I'm so glad that his records and his videos will live on past him. So that we all can enjoy his creativeness and his performances. Thank you Constantine for all that you do and bringing us these classic songs. And for keeping them alive for the new generations. You are appreciated so much, and all the musicians, the singers, the engineers that blend together to make such wonderful videos. You have my great appreciation to all.🎉❤❤❤

Because his voice was so different from the mainstream singers. Just like Bobby's was. I remember watching Bobby on the Soul Train Awards. Some of the Black People had such surprising expressions on their face, because they didn't know that Bobby was white. And that's what I mean about his voice. It was so different and he was so gifted for that soul sound and that r&b vibe. His voice just Carry that vibe in whatever song he sang or created. Thank you again HSCC for all that you do!

It's one thing to cover a song but doing what HSCC does... capturing the feeling and vibe is a completely different thing. This isn't just a cover version but cleverly thought out and presented. Actually calling HSCC a cover band does them a massive disservice... they each are wonderfully talented artists and when brought together pure magic happens! One thing, I believe, that we can all agree with that love what HSCC is doing, is the fact that they know what songs are worth covering. Their song selections are, by far, some of the best music to ever be played. Not only do they do them justice, but i think, like a lot of you, they they do them better than the original!! Once again HSCC captures the essence of the song while putting its own signature to it. One of the things I like about HSCC is they don't over-complicate music. A lot of times simple is best. Not that they're not capable of more, but doing just the right amount. No unnecessary notes, just the right ones in the right places. Hats off HSCC to another tasteful piece of music!
This band is not contented to find the best band members from outside of their group to produce an outstanding cover that is as good as the original. Kudos once again for all the group members.

I am excited to know we have such fine young musicians that have a feel and a appreciation for the classic years of music's development and growth, before technology made anyone a musician. I do not want to use the label of cover band, over the years there have been some awful cover bands in the past that have gave muso's a bad name, if you put yourselves in that category. Your not in that category, you are true muso's that know it is hard to improve on the music you represent because, it's the best of music's growth and only the best muso's can reproduce and in some cases improve slightly as you have done some of you material. I am really impressed with your pool of talent. The lead vocal sounds very much like Bobby Caldwell and the harmony Pina sang is easy to detune. But both nailed it. Also the horns are superb and is the keyboardist and everyone else. I used to sing this song in English then break out in Spanish. Its a cool song to cover if done correctly. This is a very good description of what they are. I always felt calling them a cover band undersold their talents and abilities. Very well said.
In fact, there are some tracks improved by HSCC over the originals.
I like most of the songs they’ve covered however this is one where Bobby Caldwell’s song exceeds this cover.

I love this wonderful cover and play it over and over. So much to listen to, I never get tired of it. Great song, wonderful arrangement, great Mike and Pena vocals (really a duet), great brass and saxophone section, wonderful James Muller guitar. What's not to like!
This is sublime. The musical expertise of these guys never ceases to amaze me. Put on a pair of high quality headphones and you can appreciate how each instrument is being played - faultless and so laid back. This track sounds better than the original Artist.............

I am really impressed with your pool of talent. The lead vocal sounds very much like Bobby Caldwell and the harmony Pina sang is easy to detune. But both nailed it. Also the horns are superb and is the keyboardist and everyone else. I used to sing this song in English then break out in Spanish. Its a cool song to cover if done correctly. Great solo and modulation. thanks again for sharing! You guys are on top of the cover charts.
