    Thanks...just watched this and you made it so easy. Service department wanted $85 to do what you showed me in 10 min.

    Years after you posted this and guys like me are still able to benefit! Just to echo some of the others, video was concise yet thorough. Definitely save me a ton of time! Thanks!

    OMG I have a 2016 F 150 King Cab since new and never knew this cabin filter existed. Watched the video and to my horror the factory installed filter was black and full of dog hair.
    I have a big old Chocolate Labrador dog that is my constant companion and I only bought the King Cab for him to ride in back with the seats folded up.
    Such an easy fix. I will change it every time I do the 5000 mile oil change.
    Thank you for posting.

    This video was way easier to follow than others. Went out on my driveway and had it done in 10 minutes. I just moved the piece with the electrical connector to the left and kept the glovebox door still. Easy peasy....

    Thanks Aaron. Now, I will do it myself. No way of knowing if the shop did it unless I pull it out and check. Might as well do it and have the peace of mind knowing it was done.

I need to change mine; I've had a new filter for over a year, got as far as taking the rubber thingamajig off my 2015 Platinum (the model that comes when you call it), and stopped because I was afeared! Now, I do it... I need prayer boys...

    What if you have a wood trim piece above that little rubber strip you removed? I dont want to break it but I cant see a release anywhere. 2015 platinum f-150

    The two bottom clips on the filter door were not engaged when you removed the door, and again when you reinstalled it. They need to be engaged so the door seals, and the filter to perform properly.

    U can replace it by just dropping the glove box. Just did it. Don’t have to take off all the other bs if ur good working in tight areas 😂

    Leave it to Ford to make something so simple, so involved. I have other vehicles where NO tools are involved in replacing the cabin filter.

  • @07slowbalt
    @07slowbalt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those stupid retainer clips are very snug just an fyi. You can easily over pull on the left side and ruin the glove box sensor. Just take caution when doing so. Ford over engineered this one. A simple drop of the glovebox with zero tools needed is what most cars have and instead you have to get pry tools out for certain higher end models, and a socket for something that should be insanely simple. Its not a hard job, it just wasnt needed whatsoever.
