I'd be dissapointed as hell. I've built NHRA legal Stockers that made more power than that with stock open chamber smog heads, cast iron intake & a Q-jet. Stock lift cam, but everything else was magic. That was 30yrs ago.
Built a legal K/SA 305 that ran high 11s in a Malibu wagon back in the day. Had stock 416 heads on it. 1.88/1.50 valves. Some people build engines, some people just bolt alot of parts together.
Wow, those are way to nice for just 500 HP! Those would work nice on a sbc 383, with the right cam and compression would be good for 600 + HP. A cheap set of eBay sbc aluminum heads would be good enough for 500 HP with the proper cam. 😎
This engine will probably make 550hp. But I'll just call it 500+hp for all the sceptics. I seen a 355 with these heads with a slightly milder cam than mine, it was making over 560hp. This engine will put my 79 Cutlass well into the 10s in the 1/4 NA. Gonna swap a 4-56 gear in it and 5000 stall BTE convertor for the SBC. Has a 4-11 gear in it now and a Coan 4800 stall behind a high torque big engine. Probably wouldn't stall 3800 behind my 357ci SBC.
I have a set of the IK200’s as well. Putting them on a 4.155 x 3.48 377 with a 256@.050 SFT. Hoping to run well into the 11’s. 3500 lbs. will be looking forward to seeing how you do with this.
You can get them with the Comp 1.470 diameter hydraulic roller spring upgrade for about $1500 to your door. Flat tappet spring setup alittle cheaper. Real good quality parts.

Yep, they are a bolt on deal, and they fit better than most heads available. Don't need adjustable guideplates and shit. Exhaust in stock location too. Need a intake with a 1206 exit to get a good transition into the heads. I highly recommend them.

Cutlass will weigh around 2600lbs with the SBC. Might even build a stout 350T to swap in place of the 400T. The car is set up to boogie.
It's really gonna be rowdy when the twin turbo bigblock eventually finds its way in there.

They even come CNC bowl blended and port matched to a 1206 Felpro. All Comp Cams hardware and Brodix valves. Everything looks as it should.
