I know this video is two years old, but I wanted to say thank you! Very informative and well done! Some wonderful options! Hope you continue to make more videos.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for this. I recently got into roll and writes and to find that there are SO MANY free ones, with gameplay equivalent to others that need to be purchased, has been both overwhelming and exhilarating. Please keep doing these!
Great video, thank you! I am planning to start a board game club in school were I work, and I've been looking for free or dirt cheap games - and this list is pure gold :) P.S. That collection of PnP games deserves its own BGG Geeklist =)
Great list! I've been watching your other videos for a while now, since I began to design my own roll & write pnp games. Hopefully soon you'll be able to play some of them! Thanks!
@@VeselkoKelava I do. I'm YuriMor there. At the moment I'm working on a submission for the 11th Roll & Write Game Design Contest. Soon I'll have it component ready!
Really great list. Played many of these, others I will definitely check out. I've had Utopia Engine in my folder forever. It just seems more intimidating than it is. And I really need to get BBB back out. That is such an enjoyable game.
Yeah, Utopia Engine is a bit hard to get into, and a lot of people get discouraged by their first few games, because you kinda have to know the game well to pull out a win. But once you manage to start the Utopia Engine for the first time, best feeling ever.
Yup.. thx for sharing your list.. somehow, I missed the Everest game and just went to print it out and play. Some other games that are really nice to play: Dark Force Incursion, Decathlon, Handful of Hazards.
@@VeselkoKelava Enjoy! Dark Force Incursion is pretty decent... its very lightweight but there is some strategy... and newer maps add more blocks, etc.
Hi!!! Your list and all the games you try are great!!! Can you make a 30Rails gameplay with some expansions, to see they work?? Thanks and cheers from Argentina!!
thanks for this vid, i was feeling confused on which roll and write games to try. what do you use to protect the individual games? is it like a sleeve?
Great list.. was just wondering where Kolm Keltek, The Last Jatl and Fox and the Rabbit are lol?? Playthrough of your new game coming soon?? BTW I must get around to Egyptia and DOTLD one day. Not familiar with some of these. Personally I would add Lobster Roll and give Everest the boot from your list... but it is YOUR list. Have you played Polyhedral potions. Not sure it's free anymore to tell you the truth. Thanks again for the reviews Veselko even if I'm enjoying your game designing just as much these days 😀
Well those are obviously top 3 games, but I don't want people to think I'm biased 😉 I think I might have Polyhedral Potions downloaded, but haven't tried it yet. I'm just so busy, I haven't played any games for couple of weeks now. 😥 Maybe I'll take a break after that r&w contest and just catch up on my gaming.
Hi, Alessandro. A lot of them can be played by 2 or more people, but I only play solo, so I don't pay attention to that. If you follow the links I left, click on overview page, or read the first page of the rulebook and it will say how many players it allows.
Did you play Rollway Station? It's kind of puzzly but breezy at the same time. I really like it. Also lately Rolling Village has kept my attention for quite a while.
Haven't played Rollway Station yet. I'll print it tomorrow and see what it's all about. Also, I love Rolling Village. I used to play it at work, 40 hours a week 😁
What about d100 Dungeon?! Your list is great, and I agree with a lot of your choices, but please consider d100 Dungeon in your top 10. That game is EPIC!!! But with that being said, this is another great video!! Looking forward to trying some of the games I have not played.

thanks for this vid, i was feeling confused on which roll and write games to try. what do you use to protect the individual games? is it like a sleeve?
Yes, I think it's called sheet protectors, they're meant to be used with a binder, so it's a nice way to store all your roll and write games.
